Doherty power amplifier (DPA) with high efficiency at the output power back off is highly demanded for modern wireless communication systems to achieve high data rates and reduce the power consumption and operation costs. This paper presents a new design strategy for enhancing DPA’s back-off efficiency. New design strategy called asymmetrical matching network is used to achieve asymmetric operation, which helps to compensate for the low power delivered by the peaking stage in the conventional DPA. The simulation results showed an enhancement in the back-off efficiency, where the proposed design is able toachieve 46-52% drain efficiency at 8 dB output power back-off while maintains high efficiency of 73-80 % at saturation over the designed bandwidth of 3.4-3.6 GHz. The proposed design is suitable for high efficiency sub-6 GHz fifth-generation wireless applications.

Open-channel flow is known as fluid flow with an open atmospheric surface. It has become an important issue especially when measuring the flow rate and depth of water as part of environmental management schemes. Many efforts have been made by the previous researchers to investigate the behavior of water flow. However, most studies on water flow have only been carried out in a straight prismatic main channel, either in a trapezoidal and rectangular type of channel section with lateral branch of angle of 90o. In this study, the general equations of combining open-channel flow for trapezoidal and V-shaped channels are modified in the form of nonlinear polynomial equations. The proposed equations are solved using Newton-Raphson procedure to determine the upstream flow depth. All the computations and analysis of the behavior of water flow depth influenced by Froude number and flow rate ratio are performed using graphical user interface, which is designed in MATLAB software. Comparative analysis shows that the modified equations agree well with the experimental data as reported in the literature. The trapezoidal channel demonstrates the highest value of flow depth as the Froude number and flow rate ratio increase; thus, it has potential to avoid water overflow.

The main aim of the paper is designing and implementing a broadband low-noise-amplifier (LNA) based on compensated matching network techniquein order to get high stable gain, low noise figure, low cost and smaller sizefor 3G/4G communication system applications at 2 GHz with bandwidth 600MHz. The Advanced Design System simulates the proposed circuit (ADS).The implementation was done with a class A bias circuit and a low noise transistor BFU 730F with a lower Noise Figure (NFmin) 0.62 dB. Collectorcurrent is measured to be 5.8mA and base current is 19.1μA with a supply voltage of 2.25V. The new design proposed a (NFmin) of 0.62 dB with a 17.8dB high stable amplifier gain. The microstrip lines (MSL) and compensated matching network techniques were used to improve the LNA’s stability and achieve a good result. The LNA board is implemented and assembled on the FR4 botton layer material. The results are virtually non existence equivalent between the simulated and the measured results.

Recently, the data flow over the internet has exponentially increased due to the massive growth of computer networks connected to it. Some of these data can be classified as a malicious activity which cannot be captured by firewalls and anti-malwares. Due to this, the intrusion detection systems are urgent need in order to recognize malicious activity to keep data integrity and availability. In this study, an intrusion detection system based on cluster feature concepts and KNN classifier has been suggested to handle the various challenges issues in data such as in complete data, mixed-type and noise data. To streng then the proposed system a special kind of patterns similarity measures are supported to deal with these types of challenges. The experimental results show that the classification accuracy of the suggested system is better than K-nearest neighbor (KNN) and support vector machine classifiers when processing incomplete data set, inspite of droping down the overall detection accuracy.

The demands of shifting to the operating frequency of wireless telecommunication systems at new higher frequency bands increase as day by day the necessity to transfer more data volume through wireless networks. Bangladesh has launched its first satel-lite, Bangabandhu-1, with 40 communication channels in the C and Ku frequency bands. Besides, a huge volume of terrestrial microwave backbone networks suffer from fading during rain across the country. Bangladesh experiences heavy rainfall in June-July-August. The rain has a remarkable impact on deteriorating the signal-to-noise ratio at the receiver end. To implement the 5G network, 2.6–60 GHz frequency bands are promising. However, the propagated waves in these bands are prone to fadedue to rain. Unfortunately, the rain attenuation model developed for other climatic conditions can not be used readily without customization. In this regard, to maintain quality telecommunication networks, proper rain attenuation model development is crucial. This work reviews rain attenuation research in Bangladesh, global research trends and the research scope to manage rain attenuation.

The hybrid conjugate gradient (CG) method is among the efficient variants of CG method for solving optimization problems. This is due to their low memory requirements and nice convergence properties. In this paper, we present an efficient hybrid CG method for solving unconstrained optimization models and show that the method satisfies the sufficient descent condition. The global convergence prove of the proposed method would be established under inexact line search. Application of the proposed method to the famous statistical regression model describing the global outbreak of the novel COVID-19 is presented. The study parameterized the model using the weekly increase/decrease of recorded cases from December 30, 2019 to March 30, 2020. Preliminary numerical results on some unconstrained optimization problems show that the proposed method is efficient and promising. Furthermore, the proposed method produced a good regression equation for COVID-19 confirmed cases globally.

This study assesses the user experience of a COVID-19 tracking application, as employed as a case study of AMAN mobile application based on user experience. This paper proposed an assessment of user experience (UX) for AMAN application (COVID-19 tracking mobile application in Jordan) by implementing a user experience questionnaire tool. The study aims to get feedback and identify UX based on user interaction and usage with the tracking application. The data are taken from 1208 participants who have experience using the application; an online questionnaire was implemented and distributed through social media groups. The research method that was adopted used the instrument from user experience questionnaire (UEQ) of Arabic and English versions. The results from the UX assessment using UEQ showed that there are four scales which are categorized as excellent; they are Attractiveness (Mean=1.9), Efficiency (Mean=2.4), Dependability (Mean=2.1), Stimulation (Mean=1.8), while the two scales on the benchmark of good are Perspicuity (Mean=2.0) and Novelty (Mean=1.6). From the scores, above < 0.8 show a positive evaluation. All scores are above >0,08 indicating that the evaluation of UX has a positive impression. It can be concluded that the AMAN application is very good–satisfying users to track infected cases of COVID 19.

This paper reported an optimized hydrothermal synthesis technique to grow zinc oxide (ZnO) nanorods vertically on the normal microscope glass. ZnO nanorods exhibited various advantages such as strong binding energy, non toxicity, large surface to volume ratio and versatility for optical detections. However, the growth of nanorods which aligned vertically on the glass substrates is rather complicated. It required a thorough process based on optimized concentration, growth duration, growth temperature and solvent variations. The morphological structure result has shown an exceptional vertical growth of the nanorods on the glass surfaces which increase the nanorods density. The optimized synthesis technique produced high density ZnO nanorods up to 3 ???? 1013 nanorods/m2 which is double as compared to conventional synthesis technique.

Cleanroom parameters such as temperature, relative humidity and particle count are vital in maintaining cleanliness. People and machines working inside the cleanroom are main contributors for the sudden changes of the separameters. Measurements and monitoring of these parameters are therefore necessary to reduce rejects and downtime in the production of micro-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS). This paper presents a method of developmentof an automated data monitoring of MEMS cleanroom parametric requirements. The prototype developed uses DHT11 sensor and Sharp dust sensor for measuring the temperature, humidity and particle count respectively which are displayed in an LCD display. These parameters are recorded through a data logger for analysis and control. Additionally, agraphical user interface was also developed using visual studio for the working personnel and for supervisory monitoring and control. As a result, the possible quality compromise in the production of MEMS is detected when the monitored parameters are beyond the range.
