Abstract

This paper presents a novel topology of Single-phase multilevel inverter for low and high power applications. It consists of polarity (Level) generation circuit and H Bridge to generate both positive and negative polarities. The proposed topology can produce more output voltage levels by switching dc voltage sources in series and parallel. The proposed topology utilizes minimum number of power electronic devices which leads to the reduction of cost, size, and weight low and consumes low power which improves the efficiency. Switching pulses are generated using Phase disposition (PD) pulse width modulation technique. Finally the effectiveness of the proposed topology is verified using MATLAB/SIMULINK software tool. 7level asymmetrical multilevel inverter prototype hardware is prepared to support the proposed topology to verify the effectiveness and its validity.

Abstract

This project aims to determine the potential of grid connected solar Photovoltaic (PV) implementation and project planning of solar PV System in school.  Generally, the educational institution used huge amount of electricity to operate so their monthly bills is expensive. Therefore, the project planning is necessary to determine the potential of solar PV system implementation. The project planning consists of the current electricity consumed by the school and the amount of 120W Monocrystalline PV module needed by them. The cost of project are determines to identify the initial cost of this project implementation. Lastly, analysis on the profit collected by SK Pintas Raya after 20 years of solar PV system implementation proved the importance of this project.

Abstract

Quality of service (QoS) is the measure of network service availability and transmission. There are many factors influencing QoS among which one is the increasing number of network service users. The increase in the number of network service users and communication traffic causes network congestion. And the traffic congestion results in delay or packet loss and jitter variation. As a result, an organization’s network quality deteriorates and or even becomes unavailable. Therefore, to deliver a high quality network service to the users, a solution that avoids network traffic congestion is needed. In this study, the causes for network traffic congestion and the best solutions to eliminate traffic congestion in a network with congestion management and avoidance using an integrated priority queue (PQ) and weighted fair queue (WFQ) packet scheduling algorithms is proposed.

Abstract

As computer networks and distributed applications more complex, diverse and intelligent, network behavior anomaly detection has gradually become the effective monitoring and system controlling technology. The paper established a network intrusion detection system and to investigate the data rules, sensors and abnormal behavior automatic identification in this system, a kind of algorithm based on fuzzy rules to describe the network abnormal behavior was introduced into this paper. It was used to describe the misclassification invasion rules effectively and then to convert the misclassification invasion rules to the issue of seeking optimal separating hyper plane. Subsequently, the double super ball membership function was introduced into the system to restrict the intrusion features, and to establish intrusion rule set which was used to make optimized description of the intrusion rule set and then complete intrusion detection. The experimental results showed that: in the context of different network attacks, the system can complete a variety of attacks and efficient detection. The detection error was not more than 1% which basically met the requirements of the reliable, high precision, anti-interference ability in automatic network intrusion detection and provided a reference to the future research on network intrusion detection. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i4.4288

Abstract

This paper concerns the application of model-based predictive control to the longitudinal and lateral mode of an aircraft in a terrain following task. The predictive control approach was based on a quadratic cost function and a linear state space prediction model with input and state constraints. The optimal control was obtained as the solution of a quadratic programming problem defined over a receding horizon. Closed-loop simulations were carried out by using the linear aircraft model. This project thesis provides a brief overview of Model Predictive Control (MPC).A brief history of industrial model predictive control technology has been presented first followed by a some concepts like the receding horizon, moves etc. which form the basis of the MPC. It follows the Optimization problem which ultimately leads to the description of the Dynamic Matrix Control (DMC).The MPC presented in this report is based on DMC. After this the application summary and the limitations of the existing technology has been discussed and the next generation MPC, with an emphasis on potential business and research opportunities has been reviewed. Finally in the last part we generate Matlab code to implement basic model predictive controller and introduce noise into the model.

Abstract

According to the transfer impedance getting from distributed parameter model,we analyse the influences of magnetic conductivity ,the number of turns ,capacitance to the shield and interturn capacitance on the high frequency characteristic of Rogowski coil through theories and simulations. Simulation shows that there are a series of zeros in high frequency band, but on the whole, the high frequency response does not change with the increase of frequency. The magnetic conductivity, number of turns and capacitance to the shield can influence the frequency at which zero appears, but the high frequency characteristic of Rogowski coil can’t be influenced. Considering the interturn capacitance, the curve of high-frequency response characteristic presents a "V" shape ", and this leads to the reduction of higher cut-off frequency. So we should try to decrease the interturn capacitance to reduce the influence on the high frequency characteristic. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v10i8.1688

Abstract

Cloud computing provides many services to access them dynamically over the internet as per the user's demand. The data is growing in tremendous amount and it should be managed correctly where storage service proves efficient. The Data stored online can be hacked by the third party so to secure this data verifying integrity is essential. Because of the human error or natural disaster, the data may get deleted from the cloud servers. Therefore, there is a requirement of improving the existing algorithm to recover data efficiently. Many algorithms are proposed, but they lack in efficiency, computational cost, and reliability. The proposed system in this paper is having the feature of verifying data integrity using Identity Based Remote Data Integrity Checking and recovery using the XOR operation. When the data is unavailable to the user, the proposed system provides flexibility for the user to regain data from the remote server.

Abstract

In recent years, wireless sensors networks (WSNs) have been imposed as an effective means of interconnection with simultaneous communication and information processing. They allow operating with sensors at low cost and low power consumption in various application areas such as ecosystem monitoring, detection and monitoring of objects and smart cities, etc. This paper describes the development of a system to detect the presence of an object and monitor it. This prototype is based on four NodeMcu modules (a static access point that provides the WIFI network, a server, a client and a mobile access point attached to the remote surveillance object) programmed under Arduino IDE and communicating between them via the HTTP protocol. The remote monitoring of the object for a linear disposition of the nodes used is based on the existence of the mobile access point in the HTTP client field.
