This research highlights the precipitation trends and presents the results of the study in temporal and spatial scales. Precise predictions of precipitation trends can play imperative part in economic growth of a state. This study examined precipitation inconsistency for 23 stations at the Dongting Lake, China, over a 52-years study phase (1961–2012). Statistical, nonparametric Mann- Kendall (MK) and Spearman’s rho (SR) tests were applied to identify trends within monthly, seasonal, and annual precipitation. The trend-free prewhitening method used to exclude sequential correlation in the precipitation time series. The performance of the Mann- Kendall (MK) and Spearman’s rho (SR) tests was steady at the tested significance level. The results showed fusion of increasing (positive) and decreasing (negative) trends at different stations within monthly and seasonal time scale. In case of whole Dongting basin on monthly time scale, significant positive trend is found, while at Yuanjiang River and Xianjiag River both positive and negative significant trends are identified.

MOBA is a popular genre that requires teamwork to achieve victory. A close and tight match is what make MOBA fun to play and increase its user satisfaction, but some factor may ruin the matchmaking and create unbalanced match between the two team. Those problems factors are high latency, players with bad attitude, and players doing unfamiliar role. We use DOTA 2 as our case study. Then we compare the DOTA 2 matchmaking system in other sector to make comparison. Lastly, we discuss about solution to solve MOBA matchmaking problem such as displaying live information about online players, players searching for games, servers online and ETA for gaming to start. In addition, we proposed new variable to be considered in the matchmaking system, which are Preferences Role, player’s chosen preferences role will be considered while the system set up the game to minimize the number of unbalanced games in MOBA.

Intel RealSense depth camera provides depth image using infrared projector and infrared camera. Using infrared radiation makes it possible to measure the depth with high accuracy, but the shadow of infrared radiation makes depth unmeasured regions. Intel RealSense SDK provides a postprocessing algorithm to correct it. However, this algorithm is not enough to be used and needs to be improved. Therefore, we propose a method to correct the depth image using image processing techniques. The proposed method corrects the depth using the adjacent depth information. Experimental results showed that the proposed method corrects the depth image more accurately than the Intel RealSense SDK.

In the socio-economic world, the human resources are in the most top phase of the enterprise evolution. This evolution began when the arithmetic, statistics are applicable over a vast of opportunities and used to identify problems and support decision. However, analytics has been emerged to provide predictions and understand the people performance based on available data.In light of this vast amount of information, human resources services need to deploy a predictive management model and operating system of analytics that can be an efficient and an instead solution that can respond to the gaps of the traditional existing ones and facilitate the decision making. In this paper, we present a literature review of this HR analytics concept and a case study concerning the impact of interventions using an analytics solution.

The optimal sizing of the isolated hybrid microgrid using an optimization technique was proposed. The hybrid system features WT, PV and conversion systems were used to feed the electrical load demand. A HOMER software was used to model system performance during a time of one year, considering Sensitivity variations in both the availability of renewable energy sources and variations in the load demand. The optimal solution was obtained with respect to decrease the cost of energy (COE) and the loss of power supply probability (LPSP) over a project lifetime of 25 years to improve the isolated operation of the microgrid. The aim of this study is to investigate an optimum combination of different energy systems which can supply electricity to a rural area in Egypt. The results show the COE for the optimal model was found 0.139 $/kWh which is less than half of the PV or WT system.

The correlation of adjacent pixels is one of the important parameters for measuring the distribution of adjacent pixels’ gray value. And it is widely used to evaluate the scrambling degree of digital image. Distribution figures are always plotted to show the relation of adjacent pixels’ gray value, but only subjective and qualitative analysis has been applied to explain the uniformity of dots in these figures so far. In order to evaluate their uniformity quantitatively and objectively, two approaches are advanced: average gray difference method and block uniformity method. And, two blind evaluating methods on the image scrambling degree are presented further according to the former. Simulation results show that both of the two approaches can describe the uniformity of distribution figures of adjacent pixels’ gray value quantitatively and objectively. They can be operated with just a little data of a cipher image and without using any data of plain image. These two evaluation methods on image scrambling degree are in a good agreement with the Human Vision System, and they can achieve the goal of objective and fast blind evaluation. Population spatial migration tendency forecasting is very important for the research of spatial demography. Traditional approaches are too complex to be used for time series prediction. This paper presents a method combinating Hidden Markov Model(HMM) and Fourier Series Grey Model(FGM) based on Grey Model(GM) to predict the trend of Jiangsu Province’s migration in China. There are three parts of forecast. The first one is to build GM from a series of coordinate data, the second uses the Fourier series to refine the residuals produced by the mentioned model and the third uses HMM to refine the residuals of FGM .It is evident that the proposed approach gets the better result performance in studying the population migration. Satisfactory results have been obtained, which improve HMM-FGM reached when only GM was used for the population spatial migration tendency forecasting. Nowadays there are many systems develop for agricultural purposes and most system implemented on the use of non-destructive technique not only to classify but also to determine the fruit ripeness. However, most of the studies concentrates using single technique to assess the fruit ripeness. This paper presents the work on mango ripeness classification using hybrid technique. Hybrid stands for mix or combination between two different elements, thus this study combined two different technique that is image processing and odour sensing technique in a single system. Image processing technique are implemented using color image that is HSV image color method to determine the ripeness of fruit based on fruit peel skin through color changes upon ripening. Whereas, odour sensing technique are implemented using sensors array to determine the fruit ripeness through smell changes upon ripening. The “Harumanis” and “Sala” mango was used for sample collection based on two different harvesting condition that is unripe and ripe were evaluated using the image processing and followed by the odour sensor. Support Vector Machine (SVM) is applied as classifier for training and testing based on the data collected from both techniques. The finding shows around 94.69% correct classification using hybrid technique of image processing and odour sensing in a single system.

This paper presents the functions of Series-Loaded Resonant Converter (SLRC). Series Loaded Resonant DC-DC converter is a type of soft-switching topology widely known for providing improved efficiency. Zero voltage switching (ZVS) buck converter is more preferable over hard switched buck converter for low power, high frequency DC-DC conversion applications. Zero Voltage switching techniques will be used to improve the efficiency of current and voltage at the series loaded half-bridge rectifier. The results will be described from PSIM simulation, Programming of MATLAB calculation and hardware testing.

A partial discharge described as anon-linear electrical break-down even that happened in a section of insulating area between two conduct which are at different potentials the damage of the insulating material, these conductors have a different insulating material potential of damage, under AC voltage discharge interval process. In this paper, we propose a Matlab /Simulation software. A detailed analysis of the partial discharge (PD) signal in the underground electric power conductor performed for monitoring, and investigation of numerous effects associated with the partial discharge event, such as heat ,phonic and electrical. Thus, to gain the important data of the insulating material status.
