Abstract

In order to study the steady-state electromagnetic forces acting on the stator end-winding in a multi-phase induction machine during the operation, we conducted a 3-D electromagnetic and mechanical sequential coupling analysis to analyze the stress and the deformation. Both of them are done by the finite-element method. Meanwhile, the geometry of the nose portion is modified for the limited computer resources. The result shows the nose part of the coil ends experiences larger displacement, but von Mises stresses are larger in the straight part. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v10i5.1283

Abstract

Nowadays, the construction and application of digital library leads a new era of the way people obtain knowledge and information, and promotes the academic exchanges and social progress. Digital library, however, also involves great risk, hacker attacks become the main threat of the information security of digital library, and may probably cause the loss and damage of the information resources in library. This article mainly introduces the advantages and the potential safety hazard of digital library, and then makes an analysis aiming at the information security of digital library, and finally puts forward an algorithm based on ElGamal encryption to protect library information encryptedly, and effectively guarantee the information security of digital library. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i12.3937

Abstract

Human motion image segmentation is the first step in the process of human motion analysis; it is low-level processing part of the visual analysis of human movement. The processing results of the stage of quality directly affects the progress of the follow-up work, the segmentation result has enormous influence on the final results human of movement analysis. Human motion image segmentation research is an important goal similar to the visual perception of the human, which make the computer feel the movement of human body, and make computers easier to understand the feelings of sports behavior. Deviation information based on Gaussian mixture model to join the chroma and brightness of background segmentation method is not only suitable for ordinary static scene, but also it is suitable for the special environment such as reflective of ice, fuzzy shadow, moving object reflection. According to experiments results, it is shown that the proposed algorithm has strong robustness. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i6.5120

Abstract

Based on the traditional  trip attraction model, a new method of operation condition evaluation and supply scale forecasting for public parking facilities is proposed. It begins with the operation condition investigation of existing parking facilities, and then analyzes qualitatively the existing parking facilities supply scale by four indexes. finally, it can calculate the supply scale in predict year. Combined with concrete work of urban parking facilities planning in china, the evaluation index and prediction model were applied, and the parking facilities operation condition, demand, supply scale and internal structure are analyzed deeply. The method proposed in the paper can provide the theory basis for the public parking facilities planning in other cities. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i2.2069

Abstract

This paper investigates bambara groundnut leaf disease recognition using two popular techniques known as Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) and Bag of Features (BOF) with Speeded-up Robust Feature (SURF) and Support Vector Machine (SVM) classifier.  Leaf disease recognition has attracted many researchers because the outcome is useful for farmers. One of the crops that provide high income for farmers is bambara groundnut but the leaves are easily infected with diseases especially after the rain.  This could affect the crop productivity.  Thus, automatic disease recognition is crucial.  A new dataset that consists of 400 images of the infected and non-infected leaves of bambara groundnut has been constructed. The experimental results indicate that both of these techniques produce excellent leaf disease recognition accuracy.

Abstract

In order to design the feed system of high speed Computer Numerical Control (CNC) lathe, the static and dynamic characteristics of feed system driven by linear motor in high speed CNC lathe were analyzed. The slide board was taking as the main moving part of the feed system, and the guide rail was the main support component of the linear motor feed system. The mechanical structure static stiffness of feed system is researched through the slide board statics analysis. The simulation results show that the maximum deformation of the slide board occurs in the middle of the slide board where the linear motor is placed. The linear motor feed system control model was established based on analysis of high-speed linear feed system control principle, and the linear motor feed system transfer function was established, and servo dynamic stiffness factors were analyzed. The control parameters of the servo system and actuating mechanism parameters of feed system on the effect of the linear motor servo dynamic stiffness were analyzed using MATLAB software. The simulation results show that the position loop proportional gain, speed loop proportional gain and speed loop integral response time are the biggest influence factors on servo dynamic stiffness. The displacement response is reduced under the cutting interference force step inputting, the servo dynamic stiffness is increased, the number of system oscillation is also reduced, and the system tends to be stable. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i7.2813

Abstract

This study has outlined the Z resonator shaped with Brewster crystal in the presence of flat mirror for measuring the standing wave ratio. Stability parameter and beam radius are simulated versus thickness, refractive index of the crystal and first and second folding ranges. Beam radius variations are studied against phase angle and curvature radius of spherical mirror in T and S planes. Intermode beat frequency of the system is 216.276 MHz and total cavity length is 693.078 mm. It is important the standing wave ratio is dependent on stability parameter and beam radius variations.

Abstract

Based on research the connection between the gray image histogram and the gray image quality assessment,an algorithm of the gray image quality assessment based on data fitting of image histogram is proposed. The improved algorithm also applies to the color image.During  the course of the color image quality assessment, the histogram is fitted respectively based on the color components and the color quantization. The difference weight data of the fitting coefficients about the image to be evaluted and the reference image is calculated. And the two element evaluation is given according to in the given threshhold range. The experiments show that the image quality assessment is good when the difference weight data of the fitting coefficients about the image to be evaluted and the reference image Less than or equal to 5×10-5.The two element evaluation is also effectively given according to the fitting data about color histogram of the color image based on the color components and the color quantization. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i1.3021

Abstract

In the construction process of smart grid, an assessment on primary equipments intelligent transformation is an urgent content in the first batch of intelligent substation pilot project. Wide investigation of intelligent substation pilot projects was conducted seriously in several regional power grids in China. An mathematical model was established to assess the substation primary equipments intelligent transformation firstly; then, the Vague sets multi-objective decision theory was applied to the assessment model and the consistency inspection and weight solving method of Vague set theory was improved in this paper. Finally, a practical example was given to show the rationality and accuracy of the above improved method. The method can provide practical guidance to assess primary equipments intelligent transformation.
