Abstract

This paper presents investigation and performance analysis of novel down sampling based  clamping SV PWM technique for diode and cascaded Multi-level Invereter fed to Induction motor drive. A novel down sampling based clamping SVPWM has developed by adding triangular off set to sinusoidal fundamental waveform is modified by down sampling the reference wave by order of 10 so this technique is called clamping space vector pulse width modulation techniques such as PD, POD and APOD. so as to shift the lower order harmonics to higher order side. This novel carrier is compared with the offset injected space vector reference waveform to generate the required PWM pulses to the inverter. To analyze the performance of the proposed PWM technique it is implemented on  seven level diode and cascaded Multi-level Inverter using Matlab/Simulink software tool for output line, phase voltage, currents, speed, torque and Total harmonic distortion analysis.

Abstract

First-person shooter is a video game genre centered on gun and other weapon-based combat in a first-person perspective. It is the second most favored genre among young Korean male gamers. Recently, the resurrected old-school-shooter Overwatch and Battle Royale style Player Unknowns’ Battleground enjoy a big success in  Korean game market and worldwide meanwhile the military-themed games in the genre have shrunken especially in Korean market. In this paper, we take a comparative analysis on the game structures and game modes and particularly the weapon system used in the game to facilitate the player balancing in the team based combat. Two recent successful games in the genre showed different strengths over traditional military-themed first-person-shooter in this comparative study.

Abstract

In view of the requests of the sterilization device of the fruit and vegetable that integrate cleaning and juicing together, and combined with the electromagnetic theory and the cold sterilization technology which is in common use in modern food industry, circuits are designed for the pulsed magnetic field sterilization device of the integrated machine .This circuits chose a linear solenoid in which r= 30mm, l= 200 mm. The experiment shows that the pulsed magnetic field produced by the device can achieve a better effect in killing bacillus coli, beer yeast and staphylococcus aurous, etc. Compared with the traditional sterilization device, the bactericidal effect of the pulsed magnetic field sterilization device is more obvious so that it will be the direction of the development of food equipments. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i4.2388

Abstract

One of a powerful application in the age of cloud computing is the outsourcing of scientific computations to cloud computing which makes cloud computing a very powerful computing paradigm, where the customers with limited computing resource and storage devices can outsource the sophisticated computation workloads into powerful service providers. One of scientific computations problem is Two-Point Boundary Value Problems(BVP) is a basic engineering and scientific problem, which has application in various domains. In this paper, we propose a privacy-preserving, verifiable and efficient algorithm for Two-Point Boundary Value Problems in outsourcing paradigm. We implement the proposed schema on the customer side laptop and using AWS compute domain elastic compute cloud (EC2) for the cloud side.

Abstract

In order to improve the performance of multi-user detector, this paper analyses a new algorithm, Gaussian sum particle filter (GSPF). This algorithm approximates the filtering and predictive distributions by weighted Gaussian mixtures and is basically banks of Gaussian particle filters (GPF). Then, GSPF is used in dynamic state space (DSS) models with non-Gaussian noise. The non-Gaussian noise is approximated by Laplace noise and Alpha noise. As a result, GSPF can effectively reduce the bit error rate of the system. The simulation results show that the GSPF has the versatility and super performance in MUD. Abstract

Long Term Evolution (LTE) is the technology used in modern third and fourth generation mobile wireless cellular networks. Due to the presence of large number of users, mobility and varying channel conditions, proper resource allocation is essential to provide a good user experience and improve the system throughput. In this paper, a resource allocation algorithm is implemented that will use the probabilistic models to predict the channel condition and allocate resources accordingly. Also, the algorithm will support QoS requirements. During the resource allocation, the channel quality information is collected and analyzed to predict the future channel conditions and resource allocation vectors are configured accordingly. The performance of the algorithm is analyzed based upon the data collected. The algorithm is able to provide a reasonable success rate for channel prediction. By using the resource allocation vectors and channel prediction, the algorithm performance also is improved considerably due to the lesser space and time complexity required.

Abstract

The paper presents a modified constant voltage (MACV) maximum power tracking algorithm approach for PV array fed brushless DC (BLDC) motor drive for air conditioning application. The proposed algorithm tracks the power instantaneously for sudden changes in solar radiation. The PV power is fed to Voltage source inverter directly without conventional dc dc converter there by reducing the overall cost and high frequency switching losses and efficiency of the system is improved by reducing number of power conversion stages. The appropriateness of the voltage and current controller for PV fed BLDC motor for cooling applications is verified for dynamic changes of solar radiation. The proposed system is designed and modelled and results are verified using MATLAB/SIMULINK software.

Abstract

With the rapid development of china railway, ZPW-2000A track circuit has been widely used. Tuning area, which is an important part of the ZPW-2000A track circuit, is not only the relationship between the signal transmission quality, and determine the effect of electrical insulation between adjacent sections. Therefore, the study of fault diagnosis aspects for tuning area is urgent and significant. In this paper, using the theory of transmission line a model of track circuit is built, the comparison of the actual data and experimental data of the track surface voltage envelope curve shows the correctness of this model. Owning to the good time-frequency characteristics of wavelet and the nonlinear mapping features of neural network, a fault diagnosis of ZPW-2000A tuning area based on the wavelet neural network(WNN) is proposed. Combined with the practical failure situation of railway site, the fault diagnosis method in this paper can accurately identify failure modes of tuning area.

Abstract

In this paper the Routh Approximation method is explored for getting the reduced order model of a higher order model. The reduced order modeling of a large system is necessary to ease the analysis of the system. The approach is examined and compared to single-input single-output (SISO) and multi-input multi-output (MIMO) systems. The response comparison is considered in terms of step response parameters and graphical comparisons. It is reported that the reduced order model using proposed Routh Approximation (RA) method is almost similar in behavior to that of with original systems.

Abstract

The wheat kernels were processed by moistened in water. The spontaneous and water-induced luminescence data (photon counts) were noted with an ultra-weak luminescence (UWL) detector. The following was the features of the data analyzed by the statistical parameters of the spontaneous luminescence and the fitting curves of the water-induced luminescence. The results show that the UWL intensity rises with the moistened time prolonged. It is concluded that the intensity depends on the moistened time mainly. If the moistened kernels owned a more porous structure, in the initial phase of imbibition, a higher UWL emission would be noted. Consequently, the further quantitative research of the relevant could lead a novel testing method about the wheat’s activity and quality. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i9.3150
