Abstract

The study of automatically generate test data based on evolutionary algorithm method focuses on the path coverage direction. The key problem is how to construct a suitable and has a good orientation of the fitness function to evaluate the quality of a test data. Abstract

This paper mainly does research and analysis on anti-dispersive performance and anti-nonlinear performance for intensity modulation formats such as NRZ, RZ, CS-RZ, DRZ, MD-RZ in 40Gbps high-speed single-channel optical transmission system. It compares the five pattern modulation formats in dispersion tolerance, nonlinear tolerance, and advantages and disadvantages in transmission distance. Anti-nonlinear effect ability of CSRZ, RZ are stronger than that of NRZ code; in the single-channel transmission system, DRZ and improved modulation format MDRZ have better resistance foranti-nonlinear performance, so they are suitable for long-distance transmission. RZ has the minimum dispersion tolerance. NRZ than RZ has higher spectrum efficiency than RZ, and thus have a better dispersion tolerance. CSRZ code has higher spectral efficiency, higher dispersion tolerance and nonlinear tolerance than RZ code, making it more suitable for long distance transmission.

Abstract

Underwater Wireless Sensor Networks (UWSNs) is much more attractive area for the researchers due to its versatile applications like tactical surveillance, assisted navigation, equipment monitoring, oceanography data collection, pollution monitoring, offshore exploration, disaster prevention and seismic monitoring. The researchers are also collecting the scientific data from underwater environment for observing mission. Due to the continuous node movement in underwater environment creates the majority of the problems for localization. Localization is one of the major issues in underwater environment. This survey paper focuses the different valuable localization schemes which focus the open issues and challenges for researchers.

Abstract

This work show how to port μCOS-II kernel and to build the ARM cortex-m3 hardware platform. This program researches how to drive the basic external devices. This paper gives a detailed discussion that the driver programs of the underlying hardware is how to be expanded into the uC/OS_II to process the tasks from the platform. The applications can make the STM32 processor work normally by calling the functions of transplanted uC / OS_II. The system is an actual embedded real-time multi-task operating system. The speed of processing multi-tasks is faster than conventional micro-controller’s. Because this system can run the highest priority task without return to the while loop. Abstract

In this paper, a problem of allocation and sizing of multiple active power-line conditioners (aplcs) in power systems is handled with novel formulation. The utilized objective function comprises two main factors such as reduction of total harmonic distortion and the total cost of active power-line conditioners (aplcs). The formulated problem is solved by optimization technique SHUFFLE FROG LEAP ALGORITHM(SHFLA) using MATLAB. To evaluate the competence of the proposed formulation, the IEEE 18-bus  distorted distribution test system is employed and investigated with various number of aplcs placement. These cases are based on the discrete and limited size for aplcs, requiring the optimization method to solve the constrained and discrete nonlinear problems. The comparison of results in this paper showed that the proposed SHFLA is the most effective result among others in determining optimum location and size of APLC in distribution systems.

Abstract

Recently, OSTBCs has become a widespread technique for signal transmission over wireless channels because of their diversity gain, but there are not designed to achieve an additional coding gain. Hence, OSTBCs must be concatenated with an external code which allows a significant coding gain.FEC (forward error correction) is a technique used for detecting and possibly correcting errors that can occur when messages are transmitted through a digital communication system, also for rendering the information more reliable. Thus, with staffing these coding techniques that are able to reach Shannon limits, in  MIMO systems, better performances can be achieved by taking advantages of  diversity and coding gains. The objective of this paper is to compare different FEC codes in Rayleigh fading channel and propose an appropriate code for MIMO-OSTBC systems. The simulation results reveal the performance of the proposed model

Abstract

Optical burst mode receivers are indispensable components for Passive Optical Network (PON) and Ethernet Optical Access Network (E-OSAN). An optical burst mode receiver with transfer function Gn(jω/ω0) = 1 - Hn(jω/ω0) is proposed, of which better performance is anticipated than that of conventional AC-coupling. Next, an optical burst mode receiver with fast response Gn(jω/ωF) and slow response Gn(jω/ωS), whereby Gn(jω/ωF) switches to Gn(jω/ωS) right after the DC component of the input burst signal converges to 0 is proposed. Then, an automatically switching circuit that switches fast response Gn(jω/ωF) to slow response Gn(jω/ωS) circuits right after the maximum peak value of the output burst Gn(jω/ωF) is 1/2 and the DC components of the input burst converges to 0 is also proposed. This paper presents the experiments on same consecutive codes in burst mode receivers using the proposed automatically switching circuit, with evaluation on its characteristics made through simulation.

Abstract

This paper presents a straight forward application of Layer Recurrent Neural Network (LRNN) to predict the load of a large distribution network. Short term load forecasting provides important information about the system’s load pattern, which is a premier requirement in planning periodical operations and facility expansion. Approximation of data patterns for forecasting is not an easy task to perform. In past, various approaches have been applied for forecasting. In this work application of LRNN is explored. The results of proposed architecture are compared with other conventional topologies of neural networks on the basis of Root Mean Square of Error (RMSE), Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) and Mean Absolute Error (MAE). It is observed that the results obtained from LRNN are comparatively more significant.

Abstract

This paper analyzes the main information and streaming media service function of Real Time Messaging Protocol for Flash media remote play. It simplifies and achieves the Flash AV network live broadcast, network broadcasting and releasing function, which can support to operate in the cross-platform of Windows, Linux and embedded system with good property by the cross-platform testing. Abstract

Renewable energy resources (RES) are being increasingly connected in distribution systems by utilizing power electronic converters. However, the extensive use of power electronics has resulted in a rise in power quality (PQ) concerns faced by the utility. A novel control strategy implementing reference compensation current was proposed in this paper. So that these grid-connected inverters can achieve maximum benefits when they were installed in 3-phase 4-wire distribution systems. The inverter is controlled to perform as a multi-function device by incorporating active power filter functionality. The inverter can thus be utilized as: 1) power converter to transfer active power from RES to the grid, and 2) load reactive power demand support; 3) current harmonics compensation at PCC; and 4) current unbalance and neutral current compensation in case of 3-phase 4-wire system. Moreover, with adequate control of grid-interfacing inverter, all the four objectives can be accomplished either individually or simultaneously.
