Abstract

Rover is a robotic system that integrates a simple system implementing electrical and mechanical components together. In this study, we propose a rover using mechanical components which consist of a robotic arm, joint and mechanical gripper, backbone chassis and continues track, while the electrical components include servo motor, servo controller, transmitter and receiver for vision system and wireless controller via USB host as its control system. The purpose of this project is for monitoring and safety purposes. In addition, the main goal of this project is to develop a simple robotic rover that is easy to build and manufacture as well as cost-effective. To add more functionality on this rover, it is equipped with a robotic arm and real-time view camera integration. This rover is equipped with a first-person view (FPV) camera, an integrated camera on the rover that can give clear visibility and direction to the rover pilot. The live feed can be viewed on the monitor inside the command station box. It can be used to assist safety authorities to collect information & insights, work lift to collect and remove the load and to conduct search and rescue operation. As for the result, the mobility system of the robotic rover at terrain surfaces and analyses the capabilities of the chassis during lifting load had been tested.

Abstract

Ordinary dynamic matrix predictive control (DMC) correct predictive value only using current error, so the correction is not enough. This paper proposes an algorithm. In error correction, it introduces predictive model error and predictive value are weighting corrected to improve the capability of resisting disturbance and regulating speed of the control system. By theoretical analysis and simulation, it has been proven that the algorithm is effective. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i4.2428

Abstract

Complex background, especially when the object is similar to the background in color or the target get blocked, can easily lead to tracking failure. Therefore, a fusion algorithm based on features confidence and similarity was proposed, it can adaptively adjust fusion strategy when occlusion occurs. And this confidence is used among occlusion detection, to overcome the problem of inaccurate occlusion determination when blocked by analogue. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm is more robust in the case of the cover, but also has good performance under other complex scenes.

Abstract

From the point of view of the digital printing, this paper focused on researching the anti-counterfeit print technology of halftone images and directly detecting techniques combined with digital image processing technology, thereby enhancing the security features of the printed mater. The grating has converged effect on light in the corresponding direction, which makes it compress and isolate images. According to this feature of grating, the variable angle algorithm of screening anti-counterfeit technology was proposed, and in accordance with the algorithm, the experiment of grating extracting the watermarking of halftone image was studied in this paper. In this experiment, we designed other screening angles to hide the information, we called it the variable angle screening security technology. When detecting the hidden information, only at the same angle could we observe the security effect with corresponding lines of the grating. The experimental results showed that the variable angle algorithm of screening anti-counterfeit technology had nice security effect, and could be used in practical application. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i9.3252

Abstract

The tourism industry based on the Islamic approach is increasingly accepted by the tourists.  This paper presents a review of measurement techniques and technologies’ scale measurement for Shariah Compliant Hotel Industry in Malaysia. Since the use of the rating system in Syariah Hotel Industry in Malaysia has yet to be implemented, it is difficult for the industry to determine the status level of a hotel. Furthermore, the consumers are unable to make the right choice based on their own needs. This study aims to propose new Rating Assessment for Scale Measurement system focusing on hotel industry based on Shariah Compliant standard known as Shariah Compliant Hotel Rating Measurement Scale System (SCHRMS). Scale measurement will be used to ensure all the Shariah Compliant Certificates are certified with certain level and follow the same standard. Multiple characteristics and categories must be clarified or considered when processing rating assessment for Shariah Compliance (SC) hotel. To solve the multiple characteristics’ issues, Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process will be used. The process is accurate and suitable for selecting various types of information and can be used as a decision-making tool because it controls uncertain and inaccurate data. The raw data obtained from questionnaires as well as structured and unstructured interview will be analyzed using Rasch Analysis Method. Only this method is will be able to comply to the five main principles of analysis for a more meaningful and accurate conclusion of the research data obtained. Through this system that will developed, the problem related to rating measurement for SC hotel will be solved. The SC hotel rating system will be parallel to the conventional based hotel. The system is accepted for the convenience of Muslims as well as non-Muslims globally.

Abstract

This paper develops and experimentally demonstrates an AC signal detection method in DC power system with a combination of a novel detection circuit and the wavelet neural network method. Aims at dealing with the travelling wave and fault signal cannot be detected accurately with the uncertainty of signal velocity when AC signal injected. In which, the injected AC signal in DC power system is detected via the current transformers and the voltage transformers distributed in different current loops. The acquired signal is taken as original fault signal while the sub-band energy function of wavelet packet decomposition is used as secondary characteristic and the minimum distance is used as the criterion in WNN method. Simulations are carried out to demonstrate the correctness and validity of the proposed method and which gives a good consistency with experimental test. Results show that the AC signals can be detected and located in DC power system accurately with the proposed method applied. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i5.4206

Abstract

Cloud computing is a model of sophisticated computing which has a strong effect on data innovation. Cloud computing offers remote access to shared computerized assets in the stored cloud. Operationally cloud servers utilize Web services that give enormus advantage to the user in a variety of applications such as banking and finance, storage, social networking and e-mail. Cloud computing accomplishes many of the features interrelated to elasticity, ease of utility, efficiency and performance with low cost. There are a number of potential concerns related to security and privacy since the requirement to protect cloud computing expanded, the encryption algorithms play the key part in data and information security systems, on side these algorithms consume a considerable quantity of computing resource. This paper, presenting  a new hybrid encryption algorithm emphasising  on AES and enhanced homomorphic cryptosystem (EHC) as a hybrid encryption  to guarantee the secure exchange of data between the user and the cloud server, and compression study for two proficient homomorphic encryption techniques for encoding data encryption standard (DES), advance encryption stander (AES).With The proposed techniques an evaluation has been conducted for those encryption algorithms at diverse file sizes of data, to evaluate time taking for encryption and decryption, throughput, memory consumption and power consumption. The major finding was thats the proposed method has the extremity throughput; memory consumption and our proposed work took advantage of the least time taken in sec for encryption and decryption.

Abstract

With the expansion of wind farm installations in most countries all over the world, the power generation has already significantly influenced on the stability and security of the power grid after grid-connection. Wind power forecasting is an effective method for guarantees stability of the power output from wind farm. This paper proposed an improved GM (1,1)  based prediction method, and focuses on the wind power online prediction using the relationship between the wind speed and the wind power generation. The simulation results have verified that the developed approach, with GM rolling mechanism, data preprocessing and background value optimizing has better prediction precision over the traditional GM rolling model and data series smoothing model. Finally, utilized a case study at Azuoqi wind farm located in Inner Mongolia province of China, which obviously realized wind power generation prediction for optimizing the wind power control in the wind farm in real time.
