This paper aims to improve the performance of the traditional routing protocol for MANET such as DSR and AODV in terms of delay and overhead. The proposed routing scheme is called as Extremely Vibrant Routing (EVR) which adopts with the highly dynamic environment of MANET. The link residual life is estimated to reduce the link failure before forwarding data through a node. The velocity of the moving mode is considered while choosing the next forwarder node. This enables the EVR to decrease the delay in the network. The proposed routing scheme reduces routing overhead and reduces the delay. This scheme reduces the link failure too. The performance is evaluated by using the simulation results obtained by using NS2 simulator.

This paper presents the linearity improvement of differential CMOS low noise amplifier integrated circuit using 0.13um CMOS technology. In this study, inductively degenerated common source topology is adopted for wireless LAN application. The linearity of the single-ended LNA was improved by using differential structures with optimum biasing technique. This technique achieved better LNA and linearity performance compare with single-ended structure. Simulation was made by using the cadence spectre RF tool. Consuming 5.8mA current at 1.2V supply voltage, the designed LNA exhibits S21 gain of 18.56 dB, noise figure (NF) of 1.85 dB, S11 of −27.63 dB, S22 of -34.33 dB, S12 of −37.09 dB and IIP3 of -7.79 dBm.

This paper presents a virtual-physics force based control strategy for swarm robotic chemical source localization. The control force includes: structure formation force, goal force, and obstacle avoidant force. For swarm formation, the robots maintain the regular polygon formation and a virtual robot is located at the center of the polygon. The motion of the virtual robot depends on the goal force which obtained from the sensor observations of the robots. Once the virtual robot moved to a new place, the robots would also move as a single body with the structure formation force and obstacle avoidant force. In this paper, we adopted chemotaxis as plume tracing algorithms. Simulation experiments in indoor arena without obstacle and with obstacles using different robot number are carried out respectively, and the results show that the proposed strategy can effectively navigate the mobile robotics swarms to the chemical source once selecting proper number of robots. ATM Skimming is a major concern that needs to be addressed with a specific solution. ATM Skimming is done in two steps. One is stealing the Personal Information that is stored on the Debit card / Credit card using Rain cover connected to the card reader slot (ATM’s real card slot). The second is installing a Fake keypad that can capture the pin code when the card holder enters pin details. Few researchers have proposed solutions to address the issue using Image Processing techniques. However, it does not provide a complete solution in a long term. Hence it is of paramount importance to provide ATM with high security features. In order to solve the issue of ATM Skimming, An Embedded System design is proposed. The research is carried out in two phases. One is detection phase and the second is Prevention Phase. In the detection phase, Hardware components such as Arduino Mega, Force Sensing Resistor (FSR), GPS, GSM and Buzzer are used. Arduino Mega acts as a Central Processor that processes the information received from Force sensing resistor (FSR) and send SMS Messages to ROP and Bank Officials using GSM and informing them about the ATM Location using GPS where the Fraud is taking place. Buzzer can be used at the ATM Locations to alert nearby people. In the prevention Phase, as a preventive measure a Onetime password (OTP) technique is used. If a fraudster somehow succeeds in Fixing fake key pad and Rain Cover at ATM’s real card slot, When he tries to insert debit card, An OTP will be generated and is sent to the Card Holder which in turn he can know someone is trying to make Transactions and quickly he can ask bank officials to Block his account and inform ROP about the same. Expected findings of the proposed work is to detect Fake keypads and Fake card readers using FSR placed at the edges of Original Keypad and card reader slot. Sending messages to ROP, BANK OFFICIALS and CARD HOLDER using GSM. ATM locations are identified using GPS. Buzzers are used to alert nearby people.

In this paper, we apply fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (FAHP) method in the decision process of Cognitive Radio Networks (CRN) spectrum handoff. Based on the pre-determined target spectrum list model, considering the multiple indicators which influence the handoff performance, we designed a spectrum handoff method based on spectrum reservation strategy. Simulation results show that the algorithm proposed in this paper exceeds the random handoff algorithm without channel order, it can significantly reduce the handoff frequency and time overhead of cognitive users, reduce the system delay and improve the system throughput. In the surface-mounted high-speed permanent magnet motor, the magnets are not mechanically strong enough to bear the centrifugal stress resulted from the high speed rotating, thus a sleeve composed of the carbon-fiber bandage is usually employed to retain the permanent magnets on the rotor surface. According to the surface-mounted high-speed permanent magnet rotor retained by a carbon-fiber bandage, in this paper, an analytical model for calculating rotor strength was presented based on the theory of elastic mechanics. Then the results of analytical model were compared with the calculations of finite-element method. It was shown that the analytical model proposed in this paper could accurately predict the stress distribution of the surface-mounted high-speed permanent magnet rotor fixed by a carbon-fiber bandage. Finally, the influence of the bandage thickness and shrink range between the permanent magnets and the bandage on rotor stress was investigated based on this analytical model of rotor strength.

In view of the limitation of traditional identification, it is easy to lose and copy keys, cards or ID cards, and it is easy to forget the password. Here, an embedded application system was designed based on the iris identification technology, the functions of gathering, inputing, and registering the iris information and identification can be realized. The system architecture was designed by using the embedded microprocessor of advanced RISC machines (ARM), which is used as the core. The iris sensor was used to gather the iris information, and the development of software was accomplished with the embedded OS Windows CE. The system can be used on the company entrance guard system, customs security of airport and criminal identification.

A fuzzy Volterra-Fredholm integro-differential equation (FVFIDE) in a parametric case is converted to its related crisp case. We use homotopy analysis method to find the approximate solution of this system and hence obtain an approximation for the fuzzy solution of the FVFIDE. This paper discusses existence and uniqueness results and convergence of the proposed method.

Due to the development in science and technology tremendous improvement in solid state devices and circuits, so we need to reduce the complexity of control circuits. The Brushless DC Motor (BLDCM) has simple construction, stator consists of winding and rotor consists of permanent magnet. It has higher efficiency and high speed range. In this paper presents the vibration analysis of single phase open circuit fault conditions and the signals are extracted from the Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT). The Spartan-6 FPGA processor was implemented due to their high performance of the control applications in recent decades. In this process Sinusoidal Pulse Width Modulation (SPWM) techniques were used to control the speed of BLDC Motor. The experimental analysis is carried out in 3phase, BLDCM drive. The vibration signals are measured by using Accelerometer through Lab VIEW software. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v14i3.7967

This paper analyses the classic Apriori algorithm as well as some disadvantages of the improved algorithms, based on which the paper improves the Boolean matrix. A row and a column are added on the former Boolean matrix to store the row vector of weight and account of the column vector. According to the quality of Apriori algorithm, Boolean matrix is largely compressed, which greatly reduces the complexity of space. At the same time, we adopt the method of weighting vector inner-product to find frequent K-itemsets so as to get the association rules. The complexity of space and time is developed to a large extent by the improved algorithm. In the end, the paper gives the computing procedure of the improved algorithm and by experiments, it proves that the algorithm is effective. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i10.3397
