ScienceEdu journal is a journal for all of researches in science education field which is established by Science Education, University of Jember. ScienceEdu will support science education researches that focus on curriculum of science education included its policy and regulation, science teaching and learning in the school settings in the context of early childhood to university education, and development of pre-service and in-service science teacher. It can be a home to share any ideas, opinion, finding, and condition views of implementation theoretical and conceptual framework of science education in its school settings. ScienceEdu journal publishes twice a year in June and December. It has list of editorial board which is included of experts in any context of science education focus. And any articles that exclude of the context above are not going to be considered to publishing in ours. Abstract

The purpose of the research study is to analyze and find out what problems occur with respect to understanding and the ability to think critically of junior high school students against science subject with the application of the PBL model to better student activity. The method used is the collection of accurate information then analyzed and pretest-postest and fully understood and obtained a conclusion. Based on this preliminary study, it can be concluded that the application of the PBL model can have a positive influence on students thinking ability, which ultimately students can have a high curiosity about the phenomena that exist in the surrounding environment and also students are able to develop and develop the knowledge they already have. then with new knowledge added to the amplifier. Abstract

This article is made based on the diversity of different learning styles and student interest in talent, especially participation in organizational activities. This article was made with the aim to find out the different learning styles for each student and the participation of organizational activities and their influence in gaining understanding and learning outcomes. The differences in learning styles and talent interests of each student are abilities in themselves. Teachers can also play a role in helping understanding learning in each individual who has different learning styles and interests. In this article it can be seen that organizational activities have positive and negative influences in learning and learning outcomes. The writing of this article uses the literature study method, by looking at various sources or references, such as books or several other journals concerning the same material as the article I made. With this article, it can be taken as a reference in learning. Thus, learning goals can be achieved without having to put pressure on students. Abstract

This study has the aim of knowing students' understanding and motivation with the CTL approach. In the learning process is bound to the learning approach so that the learning process can run optimally, fun and full of meaning. In contextual learning students must connect knowledge through material provided by educators and connect with real life. Data collection was carried out by giving questionnaires to students' subjects from SMPN 1 Sukorambi. If you use the CTL method, students' memory will become strong and will not be forgotten. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil penerapan pembelajaran berbasis scientific approach yang digunakan untuk meningkatkan literasi sains siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan Quasi eksperimen dengan pretest-posttest control group design untuk mengetahui hasil penerapan pembelajaran berbasis scientific approach terhadap literasi sains siswa. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMPN 1 Srono dengan sampel kelas VII.1 sebagai kelas kontrol dan kelas VII.2 sebagai kelas eksperimen. Penentuan sampel tersebut menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan pertimbangan tertentu. Instrumen penelitian berupa lembar wawancara dan tes literasi sains. Hasil penerapan pembelajaran berbasis scientific approach dan perangkat pembelajarannya diperoleh peningkatan literasi sains berdasarkan nilai N-gain pada kelaskontrol sebesar (kategori rendah), sedangkan pada kelas eksperimen sebesar (kategori sedang). Hasil penelitian dan pembahasan disimpulkan bahwa penerapan pembelajaran berbasis scientific approach dan perangkat pembelajaran yang diperoleh dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan literasi sains siswa Keywords: literasi sains, pembelajaran berbasis scientifi approach, perangkat pembelajaran

Abstract

One of the reasons for the low learning outcomes is that the learning method used by the teacher does not involve student activity and also the lack of care from the teacher to provide media in learning. The courage to speak a student is very important and needed in a class discussion, because with a student daring to speak in front of the class he has been found as an active student. The purpose of this article is to discuss the application of realia media in increasing the courage to speak students during learning or class discussion so as to increase student activity. Realia media is an object that can be seen, heard or experienced by students so as to provide experience directly to them. Quantum Teaching is an effective and fun and not boring learning model. Quantum Teaching learning steps are known as TANDUR: (1) Grow (2) Natural (3) Rename (4) Demonstration (5) Repeat and (6) Celebrate. Relevant research results show that Media Realia is able to increase student activity in asking, discussing, and expressing their opinions. Keyword: Quantum Teaching, Media Realia, Speak.

Abstract

Education is guidance carried out by educators consciously on the physical and spiritual development of students as an effort to mature a person through guidance and training. Education in Indonesia continues to grow in line with the times. So that a teacher is required to provide material not only using the lecture method but using other learning methods. The purpose of this study is to find out about improving student learning outcomes by using a demonstration learning method based on learning videos. With the use of student learning videos it is easier to understand the material being taught so that it can link material taught with natural phenomena. In addition students do not feel bored when they are in class and have a high curiosity so students actively ask in class. The use of video learning also improves student learning outcomes. Abstract

Education is a process to provide opportunities for students to be able to improve, increase knowledge, skills, attitudes and behavior that are primarily related to critical thinking skills. The success of education can be influenced by several learning factors so that in choosing methods, approaches, models, and strategies, it has an impact on determining the success and failure of a learning. The solution related to the explanation is by using local wisdom-based learning accompanied by an integrated science strategy. This learning emphasizes local wisdom based on learning activities through integrated science strategies. The purpose of this study is to provide alternative solutions related to the learning process to train critical thinking skills of junior high school students. The method used in this study is the study literature on the sharing of related sources. Based on the results of this study is expected to provide a solution to train critical thinking skills of junior high school students. Data is taken from trusted literature such as books and journals. The method used is a match (looking for a partner), 2. Think Fair-Share (thinking-pairing), 3. Talking chips, 4. roundtable. The results will be expected later for junior high school students when the learning process and student learning are more active, disciplined, organized and evenly distributed.
