Abstract

Surgery, whether it is elective or emergency, is a complex event that triggers stress both on the patient and the family. Not only extending the surgery wait time, postponing or cancelling the surgery could increase the severity of the cataract that may result in blindness. This research goal is to know the effectivity of therapeutic communication on the implementation of cataract surgery. This research uses Pre-Experimental design with Post Test Only Control Group approach. A population of 176 respondents will be scheduled for cataract surgery to meet the inclusion criteria. The sampling technique is using simple random sampling technique and 64 respondents are divided into control and intervention groups. The data analysis is using Paired Sample T-test statistical test. The research result shows that almost all of the respondents who continue to the surgery with a number of 30 respondents (93,8%) and the number of respondents who postpone the surgery is only 2 respondents (6,2%), while those who implements daily communication shows that 22 respondents (68,8%) continue to the surgery and the 10 respondents (34,2%) postpone the surgery. The result of Paired Sample T-test statistical test shows that P value = 0,003 < 0,05 means that there is a difference in the surgery between the intervention and the control group. The implications of this research can be applied by nurses to be more creative and innovative, professional and skilled in applying therapeutic communication when providing pre surgery cataract education.

Abstract

This research aims to know the process of Mufradat learning using CTL strategy in class IV MI Riadusholihin Tohir Yasin. This form of research is qualitative descriptive. Data collection methods for observation, interviews and documentation. While the analysis used is qualitative data analysis. The result of this research is the implementation of the learning of Mufradat with the CTL strategy to produce effective and efficient learning, with the steps IV Teacher class Riadussholihin Thohir Yasin set up the CTL hand out which includes: a) teachers divide the students into 2 groups according to the number of students. b) Each group is assigned to compose and attach a randomized hiwar on the cardboard that has been given by the teacher. c) Students who have more mistakes in drafting Hiwar are lost in completing the task given by the teacher and given the sanction of the winning group, namely giving each 3 Mufrada about the Isim Dhomir to be answered by the losing group. D) The winning student is entitled to a prize on condition after successfully mentioning 3 Mufradat about the Isim Dhomir he knows. e) Teachers help students conclude their group's work on the Hiwar they have learned. The use of CTL learning strategies in Mufrodat learning in class IV MI Riadusshalihin Tohir Yasin gives quite good results, according to the student's condition and in accordance with the purpose of learning Arabic IV MI Riadusshalihin Tohir Yasin but still need to improve the implementation steps of CTL Learning strategy and habituation of use of the method to get maximum results and minimize the value of the incomplete.

Abstract

Non-linear equations are one of the studies in mathematics. Root search in complex non-linear equations can be solved by numerical methods. Many methods to solve the equation. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to conduct simulation of closed and open methods such as Newton Raphson method, Secant method, Regula Falsi, Fixet Point, and Bisection. This is done as a form of comparative research to see the accuracy, number of iterations, and errors of each method in resolving the non-linear equations. As for the case being resolved is the roots of the exponential equation, trigonometry, logarithmic and polynomial degrees of three. The results of this study resulted in different levels of convergence in resolving each case

Abstract

Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV)  is a virus that attacks the human immune system, especially all cells that have CD4 + markers on their surface such as macrophages and T lymphocytes, HIV infection can cause Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS) which is characterized by gradual damage to immunity. AIDS affects immunity and even the autoimmunity. Kepulauan  Riau health office notes Batam city is  the highest case with  758 case  HIV and 712 case AIDS. The result of mobile VCT service In BatuAmpar Health Quarantine at 2017 Showed  from 2639 test of the high risk group (crewman, port warker, drivers ) 9 crewman infection HIV. The Purpose of This Studywas to determine the effect of giving peer education to change knowledge and attidues of crewman about prevention of HIV/AIDS in BatuAmpar International Cargo Port. This study was conducted on January 15, 2019. This study used a quasi-experimental method with the design of one group pretest-posttest design. The sample for this study used a purposive sampling method with a total sample of 20 respondents. The intervention that was carried out was the crew man which as the peer educator provided education about HIV/AIDS 3 times a week for 2 weeks in other crew man. Data were analyzed by paired T-tests (t-tests) which were previously tested for the Shapiro Wilk Normality Test. The results showed that there was an effect of peer education on changes in knowledge and attitudes in crew man in the prevention of HIV/AIDS in BatuAmpar port which was significant with a p-value of 0,000 (p <0.05). This study leads to the conclusion that there is an effect of peer education on changes in knowledge and attitudes in crew man in the prevention of HIV/AIDS. It is expected that the implementation of the peer education HIV/AIDS intervention will be increased at BatuAmpar port so that the crew man will know information about HIV/AIDS

Abstract

This research aims to describe the student’s mathematical problem solving based on John Dewey’s step viewed by learning style. The subjects are 2 students with a visual learning style, 2 students with auditory learning style, and a student with kinaesthetic learning. The data was collected through a questionnaire of learning style, the test of mathematics problem solving, interview, and documentation. Then it was analyzed used Milles and Huberman model’s data analyzed technique consist of data reduction, data display, and conclusion (verification). This research shows that: (1) the visual subject confronted the problem by reading the question silently in several times, the subject can’t define the problem correctly, can’t found the right solution so that calculating and the answer is not correct, and can’t test consequences (looking back), (2) the auditory subject confronted the problem with reading the question in several times loudly, the subject can define the problem correctly, can found the right solution so that calculating and the answer correctly, and can’t test consequences (looking back), (3) the kinesthetic subject confronted the problem with reading the question in several times, the subject can’t define the problem correctly, can’t found the right solution so that calculating and the answer is not correct, and can’t test consequences (looking back).
