Abstract

Gratitude interventions, in which participants engage in short activities designed to build gratitude on a regular basis, are acknowledged to be among the most successful psychological interventions. Previous study has demonstrated that thankfulness therapies (gratitude interventions) improve mental well-being, which may be useful for college students during the COVID-19 pandemic. The purpose of this quasi-experimental study was to see if gratitude interventions will improve student mental health during the COVID-19 pandemic. The mental well-being of participants (N = 150) was examined before and after 10 weekly gratitude reflection journals and statistically compared to the control group (N = 150). The data was analysed using analysis of covariance (ANCOVA). When compared to the control group, the treatment group had significantly higher well-being after the gratitude intervention (Cohen's d = 0.74). The treatment group considerably rose (Cohen's d = 0.35) while the control group dramatically dropped (Cohen's d = -0.41). Even amid crises like the COVID-19 pandemic, gratitude interventions can be helpful in improving students' mental health. Gratitude interventions tend to be appropriate for promoting mental well-being in students who are experiencing transitory mental problems such as pandemics or other types of crises. Abstract

Religious counseling is an effort to integrate religious values into the teaching and counseling process. This article provides the concept of religious counseling with a soul-cleansing approach, or Tazukiya Al Nafs. The concept proposed by Al-Ghazali is counseling or spiritual healing based on moral sufistic principles. Tazkiyah al-Nafs is the process of purifying the soul from all vices or morals of the psalm that exists in a person with the aim of healing oneself from prisoners from various diseases by realizing the various Achlaqul Karimah. and literature research, in which various reference sources are analyzed and analyzed to arrive at a synthesis that can be considered reasonable and logical with what has been tested. Up. Tazkiyah al-Nafs' approach includes not only the field of psychoanalysis related to defense mechanisms, but also cognitive, behavioral, and spiritual counseling, so it can be used as a counseling technique or approach, and the approach can be applied to the counseling process. Abstract

This study aims to compare mental health conditions between students who attend islamic boarding schools and those in public schools that are assessed during the Covid 19 pandemic. It is hoped that using a literature study approach and qualitative methods through open questionnaire techniques and interviews, it will be possible to present a true picture of the mental health situation in both students today. The results showed that students attending boarding schools were more vulnerable to mental health risks compared to students who attended public schools. The COVID-19 pandemic has caused symptoms of PTSD and depression among adolescents aged 16 to 19. This symptom is more commonly experienced by students who attend islamic boarding schools. In general, most respondents are satisfied with online education, but still most students are not comfortable with this new form of learning. The results provide insight into under-researched subjects, helping to highlight potential intervention points to support community mental health programs in the boarding school student population. Abstract

This study aims to determine the students' self-problems experienced at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 2 Medan and their implications for Guidance and Counseling. This research method is a quantitative description with a survey research design. The subjects involved in this study were 62 students from grades VII-2 and VII-5 at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 2 Medan in Medan City. The data collection method used the General AUM Format 2 Junior High School questionnaire. The use of General AUM aims to determine the level of student problems, especially in the field of personal self. The problems experienced by students vary greatly for each individual, this is also experienced by class VII students at MTsN 2 Medan. A problem is a situation or condition experienced by a person that has not been resolved, making it difficult for a person to achieve his goals.
