Abstract

This research aim was to analized the development disparities in Bengkulu Province, and the position change of 3 parent districts. The analysis method used descriptive anylisis with Klassen Typology and Williamson Index (WI), and used data from BPS Bengkulu Province publication (2002-2016). The result show WI for 2002, 2007 and 2016 in a row amount to 0,34; 0,40 and 0,37; which mean that the area expantion may cause the development disparities more equal or not. In the years of observation, position of 3 parent disticts always changing in the regional stucture of Bengkulu Province. Abstract

The paper conducts a quantitative appraisal of existing empirical testing on economic variable determinants of welfare in Bengkulu Province, analyze how economic growth dan income inequality affect welfare in Bengkulu Province directly or and using an intermediary variable. To capture this issue, path analysis is applied in this study as to the analysis method. The study addressed the measurement of the welfare of Bengkulu Province using the Human Development Index, and using the Williamson Index as representative of income inequality, also apply observational data for all variables in the period 2005-2017. The result shows that economic growth and income inequality to be associated with welfare in Bengkulu Province, and income inequality is proven an intervening variable affecting welfare. Keywords :  Welfare1, Economic Growth2, dan Income Inequality 3

Abstract

In today's modern world, the number of hotels and other accommodations is increasing in Indonesia in general and in the province of North Sumatra in particular. The same situation also occurs in the Toba lake region which covers seven districts surrounding Toba lake with a number of hotels that vary in each district. This study aims to analyze the possibility of classification of the hospitality area concentration in the Toba lake region and analyze the shift in the classification of the hospitality area concentration in the Toba lake region. Panel data used will be analyzed using the method of classification analysis of the hospitality area concentration in the  Toba lake region. Then it will be assisted by geographic information system analysis as a visualization tool for maps of hospitality areas in the  Toba lake region. This research shows that the Toba lake region consists of two classifications, namely:  the classification of the main area of hospitality that cover three district  and tthe non-concentration classification of hospitality areas that includes four districts. During the study period, the shift in the classification of the hospitality area concentration were not found in the Toba lake region.   Keywords :  Geographic Information System 1, Hospitality Area Concentration 2

Abstract

The objective of the research is to analyze the effect of government expenditure, economic growth and previous poverty rate on the current poverty rate in Java and Sumatra. The data set was 267 local governments in year 2017.  The method used in this research was multiple regression. Results show that government expenditure and economic growth affect significantly positively the poverty rate. While the previous poverty rate has negative effect on the current poverty rate. Local governments in Java and Sumatra should make appropriate programmes and activities and allocate optimally their expenditures to build the new SMEs and improve the existing SMEs abilities in order to reduce the poverty rate. Keywords :  A Previous Poverty Rate 1, Economic Growth 2, Government Expenditure 3, Poverty Rate 4

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify the potential sector in Semarang Regency, Jawa Tengah Province. The data used in this study were the PDRB data of the Jawa Tengah Province and the GRDP of Semarang Regency in 20015-2019 obtained from BPS of the Jawa Tengah Province. The analytical methods used are Shifshare Analysis, it can be mapped that there are potential sectors to be developed in Semarang Regency, Jawa Tengah Province. The analysis results of Shifshare show that potential sector in Semarang Regency is transportation and warehousing sector because the sector's performance is quite good, specialized, and has a competitive advantage during the 2015-2019 period. Keywords :  Regional Developmen1t, Shifshare Analysis2, Potential Sectors3

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to analyze economic growth and shifting of economic structure of the origin district in Bengkulu Province. Base on BPS secondary time series data (2001-2017), descriftive analysis was used to analyze economic growth and shifting economic structure, specialty after the region otonomous era (OTDA).  The DLQ and SSA method was used to determine the potential and leading sectors to increase economic performance. The result of this research was conclude that expansion of the the region in Bengkulu Provinsi has positif impact on economic development for the origin district. The economis structure was shifting from premier sector to secondary and tertier sector.
