BERDAYA: Jurnal Pendidikan dan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat is a scientific multidisciplinary journal published by Lembaga Pengembangan Manajemen dan Publikasi Imperium (Imperium Research Institute). The aim of this journal publication is to disseminate the conceptual thoughts or ideas and research results that have been achieved in the area of community services. BERDAYA contains various activities of the teaching staff in Indonesia in handling and managing the various potentials, obstacles, challenges, and problems that exist in society. Implementation of service activities also involves the participation of the community and partners. Service activities are organized into an activity aimed at improving the welfare of society. Focus and Scope BERDAYA, particularly focuses on the main problems in the development of the sciences of community services areas as follows: Community Services, People, Local Food Security; Training, Marketing, Appropriate Technology, Design; Community Empowerment, Social Access; Student Community Services;Border Region, Less Developed Region; Education for Sustainable Development.

Abstract

Community service has been carried out by analyzing the situation of partners who do not get used to doing financial bookkeeping, how to serve food is still not arranged to attract consumers, the cooking area and guest room are not neat and less clean, also how to offer food to consumers that are still not friendly. For this reason, service partners are provided with food stalls by helping them to develop their food stalls. The activities carried out are providing knowledge about bookkeeping, financial management with theory and practice, marketing management, and entrepreneurship. Dining and dining room settings kitchen so that it looks clean and organized. The output of this service is so that the shop owner is more skilled in managing the rice shop business and it is hoped that knowing the above knowledge will be more developed and become the goal of consumers to eat at the rice shop. After training partners get financial knowledge, partners can do bookkeeping every day so that they can design their business development. Marketing and entrepreneurship knowledge can support the success of current and future rice food stalls and in the end, the development of rice stalls will improve the partners' lives and economies. Abstract

Packaging, labels, and brands are one of the main attractions for products to increase sales. Community Service Activities are carried out in Cikeusal Subdistrict, Serang Regency, with the target of being business actors producing chips in Sukaratu Village, Cikesal District, Serang Regency. Community Service Activities are carried out with the aim of providing an understanding of the emping-producing citizens regarding the importance of packaging, labeling and branding on a product that can increase sales levels and will automatically increase their economic income. The socialization was adjusted to the problems and needs faced by emping entrepreneurs in Cikeusal District. The method of implementing the activity consists of three stages. The first stage of preparation includes pre-survey, team formation and coordination of teams and participants as well as preparation of training tools and materials. The second stage is the program implementation stage in the form of socialization. Socialization is carried out through outreach (presentation of material) and discussion. The third stage is the evaluation and reporting stage. Evaluation is carried out by comparing the conditions of the participants before and after the program implementation with the interview and observation methods. After that, a report was prepared. The material presented in the socialization was regarding the form of a legal entity and its important function of having a business license and business licensing mechanism. All stages of this activity have reached 100% implementation and have resulted in outcomes including understanding of community service participants about the importance of packaging, labeling and branding on a product.

Abstract

This activity aims to provide knowledge and motivation to local businesses in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic. In the midst of the pandemic, many business actors in East Belitung are losing money due to Covid-19. A number of business actors have stopped production because there is no demand from consumers. Consumers are more turning to the primary sector to meet their daily needs. Seeing this condition, the executor deems it necessary to hold Community Service activities. The method used in this activity is in the form of training and training on digital entrepreneurship marketing. Participants are given training with activities using online learning method of providing material and followed by a question and answer session and practice / practice; giving working papers that are filled in according to the real conditions of the participants. Participants in the activity are MSME players who are in Manggar District, East Belitung Regency. This group is part of an effort to develop local community welfare. Abstract

The purpose of this community service is to provide understanding to participants, especially MSMEs, on how to market products online by utilizing technology for free. This training will introduce the products offered in the long term compared to conventional means that can offer in the short term. This training is given to people in South Meruya village who want to become entrepreneurs through the use of technology to improve product marketing efficiency. Abstract

This training activity aims to increase the insight of homestay managers in Tanjungjaya Village, Pandeglang Regency, Banten Province so that they can understand how to communicate effectively for service excellence to their homestay guests. Tanjungjaya Village is a tourism village that is frequently visited by domestic and foreign tourists, therefore homestay managers in this village need better communication skills. The method used in this activity is in the form of a short training on effective communication for service excellence. The training activities carried out for the participants were the explanation of material and case studies, followed by the question and answer session and the discussion. Participants of this training activity can attend the training well and enthusiastically, and they begin to understand how to communicate more effectively to customers. Abstract

One strategy to increase consumer purchase interest is packaging design. The packaging is a "trigger" because its function is directly dealing with consumers. Therefore, packaging must be able to influence consumers to give a positive response, in this case buying a product; because the ultimate goal of packaging is to create sales. Paying attention to the surrounding area where it turns out that there are so many people who have a home-based business, we are motivated to provide training on creative development in product packaging as a marketing strategy. The implementation of this Community Service activity is carried out using the lecture, tutorial, and discussion methods. This activity was carried out in January 2020 at RPTRA Kembangan Selatan with a total of 34 peseta people. This service activity received a positive response from the participants, namely SME entrepreneurs and those who are new to working in UKM in the South Kembangan Region and the level of knowledge of the participants increased from before and after the training. Based on the results of the questionnaire given to the participants, it shows the level of satisfaction and response to the implementation of the high category activities. The participants hope that the same activities will be held regularly because they provide many benefits. Keywords: Packaging, Marketing strategy
