Abstract

The need for electrical energy continues to increase along with technological advances. Likewise, the voltage required to operate electronic devices is also increasing. Hence, we need a system that is able to increase the DC voltage value, such as a Shunt Boost Converter. Shunt Boost Converter is a type of converter that functions to increase the output voltage. In this study, a shunt boost converter simulation will be carried out in Simulink Matlab to test and compare the output voltage and efficiency of the 3 circuits made, namely the open loop circuit, close loop with PID control, and fuzzy logic. The test results of the three simulations produce an output voltage that is greater than the input voltage. In addition, the resulting efficiency value is quite high with the highest efficiency value of 91.83% at 70% duty cycle, 46,65% at close loop, and using Fuzzy Logic 24,66%. Keywords: Shunt, Boost Converter, Effisiency, Fuzzy Logic, PID Kebutuhan energi listrik terus bertambah seiring dengan kemajuan teknologi. Demikian juga tegangan yang dibutuhkan untuk mengoperasikan perangkat-perangkat elektronik, juga semakin besar. Maka diperlukan suatu sistem yang mampu menaikkan nilai tegangan DC, seperti Shunt Boost Converter. Shunt Boost Converter merupakan suatu jenis konverter yang berfungsi meningkatkan tegangan keluarannya. Pada penelitian ini akan dilakukan simulasi Shunt Boost Converter pada simulink matlab untuk menguji dan membandingkan tegangan output dan effisiensi dari 3 rangkaian yang dibuat, yaitu rangkaian open loop, close loop dengan kontrol PID dan logika fuzzy. Hasil pengujian dari ketiga simulasi tersebut menghasilkan tegangan output yang lebih besar dibandingkan tegangan input. Selain itu, nilai effisiensi yang dihasilkan tergolong cukup tinggi dengan nilai effisiensi tertinggi sebesar pada saat kalang terbuka 91,83% pada duty cycle 70%, 46,65% pada close loop dan menggunakan Logika Fuzzy 24,66%. Kata Kunci: Shunt, Boost Converter, Effisiensi, Logika Fuzzy, PID

Abstract

The use of the Speedometer Tester test equipment that is currently available has not been fully implemented in motorizedvehicle testing units. One of the causes is the test equipment which is constrained due to damage caused by long -term use.This research discusses the design of microcontroller-based speed measuring devices as an alternative to the use of testequipment in speedometer testing when problems occur in the form of damage to the test equipment in the Motor VehicleTesting Unit. This type of research is development or Research and Development (RD) which aims to produce new productsor improve existing products. Design of a Microcontroller-Based Speed Measuring Device consisting of an input, namely anInfared Proxlimity Sensor, then an Arduino process control with an LCD output connected to a Thermal Print er which canprint measurement results. Based on the test results of the design tool for speed measuring devices on microcontroller -basedmotorized vehicle testing units, an average success rate of 97.9% was obtained, and an average deviation of 2.1%. Thedesign performance of a microcontroller-based speed measuring device can function according to the program designed.

Abstract

Motor induksi tiga fasa merupakan motor listrik yang menggunakan prinsip induksi elektromagnetik untuk menghasilkan gaya putar pada rotor. Motor jenis ini biasanya digunakan pada industri karena tingkat efisiensi yang tinggi dan kestabilan operasinya, motor ini digunakan sebagai motor mill drive di Raw Mill Indarung 6 PT Semen Padang. Salah satu komponen penting pada motor induksi adalah carbon brush atau biasa disebut brush. Pada umumnya, brush selalu menempel dengan slip ring seiring dengan pengoperasian motor yang mengakibatkan kondisi brush semakin menipis. Salah satu cara untuk menghemat penggunaan brush adalah dengan mengaplikasikan perangkat BLD (Brush Lifting Device). BLD akan menurunkan brush saat motor stop dan akan mengangkat brush ketika motor saat proses startup hingga mencapai kecepatan nominal atau normalnya. Hal ini dapat dibuktikan bahwa selama 6 tahun motor beroperasi, pengikisan brush dihitung hanya sebesar 0.45 mm/tahun dari ketebalan brush saat baru sebesar 40 mm. Kata kunci: Motor induksi, Brush Lifting Device, Raw Mill.

Abstract

Abstract                The development of electronic component and circuit technology is able to produce a direct current voltage power supply system or more briefly DC (Direct Current), which is produced by converting the input voltage to the desired output voltage form (DC to DC converter). In its development, there are three types of DC to DC converter types, namely, boost converter (step up), buck converter (step down),and  buck-boost converter (step up and step down). Of the three types, there have been several developments that have been carried out, as one example is the shunt buck converter that will be used in this study.                The simulation test result of the shunt buck converter circuit carried out by means of 3 approaches, namely open loop, close loop with PID control, and close loop with fuzzy logic control can produce an output voltage value that is smaller than the input voltage value given, this is accordance with the function of the buck converter itself. In addition, the efficiency value obtained from the three experiments with the previously mentioned approaches has a fairly high value ranging from 65% - 99% with the highest efficiency obtained being 98,7%. Keyword: Buck Converter, Efficiency, Fuzzy Logic, PID, Shunt Abstrak                                Perkembangan teknologi komponen dan rangkaian elektronika mampu menghasilkan sistem penyedia daya tegangan arus searah atau lebih singkatnya DC (Direct Current), yang dihasilkan dengan cara mengkonversi tegangan masukan ke bentuk tegangan keluaran yang diinginkan (DC to DC converter).Pada perkembangannya ada tiga tipe tipe DC to DC converter yaitu, boost converter (step up), buck converter (step down), dan buck-boost converter (step up dan step down). Dari tiga tipe tersebut sudah ada beberapa pengembangan yang telah dilakukan, sebagai salah satu contohnya yaitu shunt buck converter yang akan digunakan pada penelitian ini.                                Hasil uji simulasi rangkaian shunt buck converter yang dilakukan dengan cara 3 pendekatan yaitu open loop, close loop dengan kontrol PID, dan close loop dengan kontrol logika fuzzy dapat menghasilkan nilai tegangan keluaran yang lebih kecil dari nilai tegangan masukan yang diberikan, hal ini sesuai dengan fungsi dari buck converter itu sendiri. Selain itu, nilai efisiensi yang didapatkan dari ketiga percobaan dengan pendekatan yang telah disebutkan sebelumnya memiliki nilai yang terbilang tinggi yang berkisar antara 65% - 99% dengan efisiensi tertinggi yang didapatkan adalah 98,7%.Keyword: Buck Converter, Efisiensi, Logika Fuzzy, PID, Shunt.

Abstract

Exposure to air pollution, excessive ultraviolet (UV) light, and changes in environmental temperature and humidity can have serious impacts on human health. Therefore, a tool design was created that combines Solar Cell-based technology and the Internet of Things (IoT) to detect potential dangers from air pollution, exposure to UV rays, and changes in environmental temperature and humidity. This tool uses an ESP32 microcontroller as its brain, which allows data to be collected from the sensors used. The sensors used include the MQ2 Sensor for toxic gas detection, the MQ135 Sensor for CO2 pollutant gas detection, the UV Sensor for monitoring harmful UV radiation, and the DHT11 Sensor for measuring environmental temperature and humidity. The information collected by these sensors is displayed in real-time via an OLED display, giving users an instant understanding of the level of danger that may exist in their surroundings. Apart from that, this tool uses Solar Cells as a power source, so it can operate independently and is environmentally friendly. This tool has great potential for use in a variety of environments, including residential areas, work spaces and open areas. It helps society as a whole to maintain their health and safety by providing accurate and real-time information about the dangers that may be around them. KEYWORDS: DHT-11, ESP-32, GUVA S12SD, Internet of Things (IoT), MQ-2, MQ-135 Solar Cell.

Abstract

Big cities are currently implementing the smart city concept, where Internet of Things (IoT) sensors are placed on the roads, then the data is collected and processed by smart devices to solve urban problems. IoT implementation is suitable using LoRa technology. In this paper, distance testing is carried out on point to point communications with LoRa in urban areas at a frequency of 915 MHz. The RSSI (Received Signal Strength Indicator) parameter value is what is observed, and the log normal shadowing model is used to compare the RSSI values computationally. The test results for the farthest distance were 3.37 km with an RSSI value of -104.5 dBm. The error value between the measured and calculated RSSI values is 7.3% where a path loss exponent (n) of 1.6 from the measurement results.

Abstract

Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) dalam beroperasi menggunakan dua sumber daya yaitu bolak balik (AC) dan searah (DC). Baterai merupakan alat penting untuk menampung sumber DC dari rectifier agar dapat dimanfaatkan dengan efisien. Baterai ini akan mensuplai daya untuk dipergunakan mesin dan peralatan yang memerlukan sumber DC. Baterai dengan nilai efisiensi baik maka menunjukkan baterai masih berkualitas bagus sehingga masih aman untuk digunakan. Metode penelitian ini dilaksanakan secara langsung di lokasi pemeliharaan baterai GIS Waru untuk mengumpulkan data. Berdasarkan hasil dari menganalisis data pemeliharaan baterai di GIS Waru diketahui bahwa baterai unit 1 110 VDC di GIS Waru masih layak untuk digunakan karena mempunyai kapasitas pengosongan sebesar 286 Ah dengan waktu pengosongan selama 7 jam dan memiliki efisien sebesar 137,5%.  Penelitian ini dapat menjadi penilaian baterai dalam memastikan kelayakan untuk dapat dimanfaatkan kembali. Kata Kunci: Baterai, Efisiensi, GIS Waru, Uji Kapasitas

Abstract

Di akhir-akhir ini robot banyak dipergunakan di berbagai bidang pekerjaan dan bidang pemerintahan, perkembangan robot dari taun ketaun cukup pesat yang ditopang dengan perkembangan teknologi informasi yang sangant masif. Dalam beberapa kondisi pekerjaan manusia memerlukan bantuan peralatan untuk melakukan pekerjaan yang sifatnya berulang. Kurang akurasinya pekerjaan manusia dalam hal yang berulang menjadi kendala dalam kulitas hasil perkerjaan yang dihasilkan. Penelitian ini mencoba untuk meralakukan perancangan robot lengan dengan berbaiss pada kecerdasan buatan yang menggunakan kendali smartphone. Penggunaan komponen pelengkap dalam perancangan terdiri dari Arduino Uno yang digunakan untuk pengolah input sensor sehingga dapat mengendalikan lengan robot. Robot lengan 5 DOF (Degree Of Freedom) menggunakan motor servo sebagai penggerak utama. Penelitian menggunakan metode research and development, dimana penelitian yang dilakukan mempelajari dan mengembangkan penelitian sebelumnya. Estimasi waktu yang diperlukan untuk sekali proses pemindahan barang berkisar ± 4 detik. Hasil yang pengujian didapat dimana pergerakan robot dengan motor servo dapat bekerja berdasarkan inputan yang telah dilakukan oleh Aplikasi Antar Muka MIT App Inventor.

Abstract

One of the factory equipment that is very important in the cement production process is the suspension preheater used to heat cement raw materials before entering the rotary kiln for the combustion process or clinkerization process to produce clinker which in the next stage is ground into cement. In a suspension preheater kiln system, using a damper is vital because it regulates the flow of hot gas and material in the kiln and adjusts to the operating parameters of the equipment. Therefore, damper operation is reliable and meets safety regulations. One of the dampers used in the suspension preheater system at the Indarung V factory is a fresh air damper which functions to limit the temperature of the gas in the suspension preheater which will be pulled by the ID Fan so that overheating does not occur in the ID Fan impeller. In its operations, the fresh air damper at the Indarung V cement factory often experiences malfunctions caused by damage to the damper actuator due to exposure to heat from hot gases passed through the damper. This project aims to increase the reliability of the damper actuator and minimize maintenance costs, namely by modifying the mechanical power transmission design from the actuator to the damper shaft to reduce the impact of exposure to hot gases and modifying the actuator type from a modulating type to an open-close actuator type following operational needs and PUIL 2011, as well as to meet personnel safety needs. According to the results of commissioning tests and observations carried out from early August 2023 to November 2023, it was found that the test results and performance of the fresh air damper using the open-close actuator type damper functioned according to process requirements without experiencing damage to the actuator caused by exposure to heat in its operation.
