Abstract

ABSTRACTCampus UPR areas in central Kalimantan has a diverse community of Pteridophyta. Thediversity of Pteridophyta species or ferns is one of floral potentials that are not being awared bymost people due to the lack of the data and information on species diversity and utilization.These kinds of species were believed to spread widely in Indonesia regions. Ferns are uniqueand have potential use, such as materials for feed, medicinal or ornamental plants. The studyaimed to obtain reliable data and information about fern diversity as well as their traditionalutilization performed mainly by people living around the campus UPR area. The research wasconducted through exploration method by collecting many fern species that were found incampus UPR area. The species identification was using descriptive analytical methods. Theobtained data were presented in the forms of tabels .. Results showed that there were 35fern species consisting of 17 families. The types that were mostly found came fromPolypodiaceae familiy (8 species). Based on the potential utilization, those which can be usedas ornamental plants were Asplenium pellucidum. Lam., and Dipteris conjugata Reinw.Elevenspecies from Lecanopteris carnosa (Reinw.) Blume. and Selaginella Plana (Desv.ex Poir)Hieron. were used for medicinal herbs. One species, Gleichenia hispida Mett.ex Kuhn. can beused for handycraft material, while other 3 species from Pteris mertensioides Willd andDiplazium accendens Blume can be used for food material.Keywords: Ferns, Pteridhopyta, Campus UPR areas, diversity.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aims to determine the canopy density in the community forests of Padang PariamanRegency and the value of community forest timber based on the volume of wood. This type ofresearch is quantitative descriptive using the remote sensing method. The population in this studyis the community forest area in Padang Pariaman Regency based on six land cover classes, withtree sampling to obtain stand potential data by making circular sample plots in each land coverclass. The results of this study indicate that the level of vegetation density in the study area variesfrom very tight, tight, quite tight, not tight, and there is no vegetation. For the most dominatingcategory is the tight category with an area of 57,442.08 ha (74.82%). The total value of wood inthe study area of 16 species of trees with a total volume of 953 m3 / ha amounting toRp18,942,687,097,586 (eighteen trillion, nine hundred forty two billion, six hundred eighty sevenmillion, ninety-seven thousand five hundred eighty-six).Keywords: Community forest, vegetation density,value of wood

Abstract

RINGKASANTemulawak sebagai pewarna dalam desain produk anyaman rotan di Kelurahan menteng KotaPalangka Raya adalah program dalam kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat UniversitasPalangka Raya yang memanfaatkan tanaman di sekitar kita yaitu Temulawak sebagai bahanpewarna alami produk anyaman rotan yang aman bagi kesehatan dan lingkungan, dan mampumemberikan variasi warna yang menarik yaitu warna merah pada belahan rotan yang dijadikananyaman. Pengembangan berbagai motif desain anyaman rotan terutama bagi perajin anyamanrotan yang dijadikan mitra yaitu Perajin Pahias sebagai penyedia bahan baku dan tempatpelaksanaa pembuatan pewarna alami dari temulawak pada rotan, belahan rotan hasil pewarnaankemudian dianyam menjadi tikar. Mitra Duta Dare berperan sebagai perajin yang menghasilkananeka produk seperti tas, dompet, topi, rambat, lawungt dan lainnya, yang dimodifikasi denganberbagai bentuk dan bahan kulit sehingga mempercantik produk yang dihasilkan. Luaran yangdihasilkan adalah produk jurnal dan sebagai bahan ajar tambahan untuk mata kuliahHasil Hutan Bukan Kayu.Kata kunci: Temulawak, pewarna alami, anyaman rotan

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk Mendeskripsi atau memberikan gambaran potensi objek wisatakhususnya kondisi prasarana dan sarana, manajemen pengelolaan Obyek Wisata Air TerjunBawin Kameloh, mengetahui strategi pengembangan tentang faktor pendorong dan penghambatpengembangan wisata serta menganalisis potensi dengan menggunakan analisis deskriftif dananalisis SWOT. Dengan menggunakan analisis Deskriptif, dengan menghasilkan strategipengembangan tentang faktor pendorong dan penghambat pengembangan wisata dimana yangmenjadi faktor utama yaitu keterbatasan anggaran untuk biaya pengembangan sarana danprasarana serta belum ada tenaga profisional dalam pengelolaan objek wisata. Sedangkan yangmenjadi faktor pendorongnya adalah panorama alam yang indah, sejuk dan masih asli sertasuasana objek wisata yang memberikan kenyamanan bagi pengunjung objek wisata. Hasilpenelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi pengembangan objek wisata air terjun Bawin Kamelohberada pada kuadran I dengan nilai X (faktor internal) = 2,197, dan nilai Y (faktor eksternal) =0,176, dengan menghasilkan alternative strategi yang dapat digunakan, adalah SO (Strength andOpportunities).Kata kunci: Objek wisata air terjun, Bawin Kameloh, Analisis SWOT.

Abstract

ABSTRACTUsing round wood as a raw material of the product the less available day. Various efforts aremade to utilize wood as a raw material of a product, such as using waste from wood processingindustry. The purpose of this research is to know the quality of alau (Dacrydium spp.) woodparticle cement board and to know the effect of cement substitution with gypsum on the physicaland mechanical properties of alau particle board (Dacrydium spp.). Research design usedFactorial Random Design (RAL) factorial, with 2 factors pattern, namely factor A (cement ratio:particle) consist of 3 levels i.e. a1 (75% cement + 25% particle); a2 (80% cement + 20%particle); a3 (85% cement + 15% particle), factor B (gypsum substitution rate) consists of 2levels i.e. b1 (5%); b2 (10%). The research results indicate that the physical properties of density(with an average value of 1.47 g / cm3) and moisture content (?16%), and thickness development(17.47%) all meet the standards, whereas water absorption does not have value on JIS standard5414-1992. The result of testing of the mechanical properties of bending conformity (MoE)meets the standard, and the fracture conformity (MoR) that meets the test standard is 10%gypsum substitution (b2), while internal sticking (IB) there is no requirement of value in standardJIS A 5414-1992. Comparison of the ratio of raw materials and substitution of gypsumsignificantly influence the physical and mechanical properties of cement.Keywords: Particle cement board, physical characteristics and mechanics

Abstract

ABSTRAKKerajinan rotan merupakan salah satu produk unggulan kota Palangka Raya. Umumnya produkyang dihasilkan ada yang bermotif dan adanya yang tidak. Permasalahan yang dihadapi Perajinadalah hanya mampu menghasilkan anyaman tanpa motif (polos), sedangkan konsumen banyakmenginginkan produk yang dihasilkan mempunyai motif yang menampilkan dan menonjolkankerajinan khas suku dayak Kalimantan Tengah Mitra sasaran adalah masyarakat produktifsecara ekonomi, yakni kelompok usaha mikro Jawet Bawi Rawi. Unsur pendampingan yangdiusulkan bagi perajin adalah pelatihan dan diversifikasi pemberian motif dengan cara disilipmenggunakan bahan alam dari getah rotan Daemonorop yang umumnya dikenal dengan namaJarenang (Dragon blood), dengan tetap menerapkan unsur seni dayak berupa garis lurus danlengkung. Kelebihan yang ditawarkan dari pewarna jarenang yaitu tidak terkelupas, tidak luntur /tidak larut kena air, semakin dijemur semakin mengkilat. Teknik ini bisa dilakukan di ataslembaran tikar , tas, dompet ataupun lawung dan sumping. Perajin terdiri dari ibu-ibu rumahtangga dan anak muda .yang mampu mengolah bahan baku dari pembelahan rotan hinggamenganyam. Jumlah produk yang terjual setiap bulan tidak menentu, tergantung jumlah pesanandan ada/tidak event-event besar seperti pameran atau pesanan untuk kegiatan seminar yangdilaksanakan Instansi maupun Lembaga setempat.Kata Kunci: Jarenang, Pewarna alami , anyaman rotan, menyilip.

Abstract

ABSTRAKAir adalah merupakan salah satu sumber alam yang memiliki fungsi sangat penting bagi hidupdan kehidupan seluruh makhluk hidup, namun sering menjadi permasalahan dalamkeberadaannya, peredaran/sirkulasinya dan penyebarannya. Selain itu air merupakan sumberdaya alam yang tidak hidup (abiotik) namun dapat diperbaharui (renewable resources).Berdasarkan sifat-sifatnya, air sangat mudah terkontaminasi dengan zat-zat kimia lainnyamelalui pencemaran lingkungan. Oleh karena itu diperlukan upaya konservasi melalui sistempengelolaan yang inovatif sehingga sumber daya air dapat dimanfaatkan secara berkelanjutansampai ke generasi yang akan datang.Kata kunci: Konservasi, sumber daya air, pengelolaan inovatif.

Abstract

ABSTRACTIn agriculture, the use of waste and garbage organics and seasonings are often used tomake liquid organic fertilizer (LOF), but the making and the using of this LOF in theforestry is still very rare. The objectives of this study were to determine the influence ofliquid organic fertilizer (LOF) on Sengon growth and to find out the best LOF dose forSengon growth. The raw materials of LOF in this study were black sugarcane water, oldcoconut water, rice washing water, Sasa seasoning, fruits peel, Kepok banana hump,Petung bamboo shoots, and shrimp paste. This study used a Completely RandomizedDesign (CRD) with a total experimental unit of 200 Sengon seedlings divided into 5treatments and each treatment consisted of 40 replications. The five treatments were P1(Control, 0 ml LOF), P2 (10 ml LOF + 2 liters of water), P3 (20 ml LOF + 2 liters ofwater), P4 (30 ml LOF + 2 liters of water), and P5 (LOF 40 ml + 2 liters of water). Theresults showed that the influence of liquid organic fertilizer (LOF) had a very significanteffect on each dose treatment on the growth parameters of Sengon seedlings, whichincluded parameters of increase in height, number of leaves and increase in diameter.The treatment of the P5 dose (40 ml + 2 liters of LOF) gave the best influence on thegrowth of Sengon seedlings.Keywords: Liquid organic fertilizer (LOF), sengon

Abstract

ABSTRACKThe research objective was to determine the properties of physical and mechanics of mousepurun cement board on various hardeners. The cement board was processed with a size of 30 cmx 30 cm x 2 cm, a ratio of 3: 1, a density of 2 g / cm2, purified water content of 15%, hardenerCa(OH)2, CaCl2, MgCl2 with a concentration of 2%. Before making the cement board thehydration temperature test is carried out, then the resulting board is tested for the physicalproperties of the mechanics. And the grave test for 3 months. Data averaged and SD thentabulated and written in graphical form. The results of the study were hydration temperature:31.38-33.50oC, inhibiting factors: 6.94-10.19%, board water content: 13.55% - 15.77%; density:1.07-1.16 g / cm2; MoR: 22.96 - 30.31 kg / cm2, Compressive strength: 0.84 - 3.34%.Conclusion: Mouse purun can be processed into cement board. The good nature of the cementboard is to treat CaCl2 2% hardener.Keywords: Purun, cement board, hardener, hydration and MoR
