Abstract

Intensive land use in agriculture will lead to decreased soil fertility, there fore is a need to maintain soil fertility and productivity. This study lead is to determine the status of soil fertility in horticultural cultivation area in Landasan Ulin and Liang Anggang district of Banjarbaru city. Use study due by purposive sampling method and soil chemical analysis. The implementation of the research consisted of the preparation stage of the field survey to determine the location of the sampling, and selected 10 point location of soil sampling. The implementation stage included sampling and soil chemical analysis in the laboratory consisting of 5 chemical parameters is Cation Exchange Capacity (CEC) and Basic Saturation (BS) with extraction using 1N NH4OAc pH 7 , P-total and K-total with extraction using 25% HCl, C-organik with modified Walkey-Black method used for determine of soil fertility status. The result showed that soil fertility status at the research sites was classified as low soil fertility status criteria, due to the main limiting factor is low CEC value with average value of 15,27 me/100g and with sandy loam texture class up to sand.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the influence of various growing media and the old lighting of lamp to growth of seedling of talipuk and also to know growing media and long best lighting lamp for growth of talipuk seedlings. This research method used Split Plot Design 2 factors with 9 treatments 3 replicates and 27 experimental units with main plot of long lighting while multiplication of growth media that was carried out in Biology Laboratory Faculty of Agriculture Universitas Lambung Mangkurat Banjarbaru South Kalimantan in July until August 2017. The results showed that the interaction between the length of lighting and the type of growth media did not significantly affect all observed variables observed. Prolonged exposure of 18-hour lamps had significant effect on leaf length and treatment of various types of growth medium significantly influenced leaf length, leaf width, and length of stalk and significantly affected leaf number, wet weight of plant and dry weight of plant, wet root weight and dry weight of the roots.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the effect of PGPR concentration from the combination of bamboo root isolate and mother root isolate to the growth and yield of chili hiyung plant and to know the difference of growth and yield of chili hiyung plant with some PGPR concentration treatment from the combination of bamboo root isolate and isolate the daughter's roots shy at different concentrations. This research is a single factor experiment with Complete Random Design (RAL) 6 (six) treatment design using polybag. The treatments used were P0 (control) without PGPR, P1 (PGPR 2.5 mL L-1 water), P2 (PGPR 5.0 ml L-1 water), P3 (PGPR 7.5 ml L-1 water) P4 (PGPR 10.0 ml L-1 water) and P5 (PGPR 12.5 ml L-1 water). The results showed that PGPR concentration from bamboo root isolate and mother shy root isolate did not affect all observed variables, because it was suspected as a result of pest and disease attack during cultivation.

Abstract

Planthopper pests are very harmful rice pests that attack on the vegetative phase. Vegetable pesticide is one of the alternative of brown planthopper pest control. Vegetable pesticides are relatively easier to make, easier to decompose in nature and safer for humans and the environment. This research used Single Randomized Complete Random Design (RAL) with ten treatment of vegetable pesticide solution type from nine plants, namely: bintaro leaf, galam leaf, kirinyuh leaf, mimba leaf, kepayang leaf, jeruju leaf, sungkai leaf and husk stem . The results showed that all of the vegetable pesticide solution used could cause the death intensity of brown planthoppers more than 80%.

Abstract

The research, entitled influence of the media mix towards growth and production of cauliflower (Brasicca olerace L.) have been implemented in March until may 2017 on the field of Lambung Mangkurat, Agriculture Faculty. The experimental design used a random complete design (RAL) with 5 treatment M0 = (control) 8 kilogram soil + NPK, M1 = (7.5 kilogram soil + 0.5 kilogram manure + NPK) M2 = (7 kilogram soil + 0.5 kilogram sand + 0.5 kilogram manure + NPK), M3 = (7 kilogram soil + 0.5 kilogram chaff + 0.5 kilogram manure + NPK), M4 = (7 kilogram soil + 0.5 kilogram chaff ash + 0.5 kilogram manure + NPK). The treatment has 4 replication and 20 units experiment. Observations include the increase of leaves number, early flower emergence, cabbage flower diameter, cabbage flower wet weight. Results show media mixture has influence on plant growth and the production of cauliflower. Soil mixture, chicken manure, NPK get the chaff or ash gives growth and production of cauliflower the best compared to other mixture media.
