Abstract

Salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan hasil kentang adalah dengan mengontrol tingkat kesuburan tanah dengan penggunaan pupuk organik dan anorganik. Penelitian bertujuan untuk memperoleh nilai tertinggi dari sisa unsur hara tanah pada beberapa dosis dan beberapa pupuk organik. Perlakukan dilapangan dilakukan dengan rancangan acak. Perlakuan pada penelitian ini menggunakan pupuk anorganik, kotoran ayam, biomasa Tithonia diversifolia dan Calopogonium Colopogonium. Kadar N pupuk organik yang digunakan berdasar kebutuhan kentang, tanah adalah 60kg/ha (D1), 120kg/ha (D2), dan 250kg/ha (D3). Kadar pupuk anorganik yang direkomdasikan adalah 120kg N/ha, 165kg P2O5/ha dan 120kg K2O/ha. Setiap perlakuan diulangi tiga kali. Karakteristik yang dilihat meliputi: pH, C Organik, total N, C/N Rasio, ketersediaan P, ketersediaan K, dan KTK. Tidak ada yang berbeda dari pH, C-organik, N-Total, C / N Ratio, ketersediaan P, ketersediaan K dan KTK tanah antara pupuk anorganik dan berbagai jenis pupuk organik pada rasio 120kg N /ha. Nilai residu nutrien tanah sama dengan perlakuan dari pupuk organik dan anorganik. Kata kunci: kentang, pupuk organik, pupuk tanah

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the influence of various growing media and the old lighting of lamp to growth of seedling of talipuk and also to know growing media and long best lighting lamp for growth of talipuk seedlings. This research method used Split Plot Design 2 factors with 9 treatments 3 replicates and 27 experimental units with main plot of long lighting while multiplication of growth media that was carried out in Biology Laboratory Faculty of Agriculture Universitas Lambung Mangkurat Banjarbaru South Kalimantan in July until August 2017. The results showed that the interaction between the length of lighting and the type of growth media did not significantly affect all observed variables observed. Prolonged exposure of 18-hour lamps had significant effect on leaf length and treatment of various types of growth medium significantly influenced leaf length, leaf width, and length of stalk and significantly affected leaf number, wet weight of plant and dry weight of plant, wet root weight and dry weight of the roots.

Abstract

Onion plant are horticultural commodities and include spices, these vegetables are used every day as a complement to spices to increase the taste and enjoyment of food. The increasing consumption of onion must be balanced with increased production. One way is to give liquid organic fertilizer hump and kepok banana peel. Hump and kepok banana peel contain nutrients that have the potentiali to be used as food sources so that microbes are well developed and have nutrient and nutrient content in them. Theiresearch aim knowing influence of the type material and dosage of liquid organic fertilizer hump and kepok banana peel on the growth and results of onion plant. Research design Factorial Completely Randomized Nested Design consisting of 2 factors, factor A type of material there are 2 types, namely a1 = hump and a2 = peel, factor B dosage is 5 levels, b0 = control, b1 = 50, b2 = 100, b3 = 150 and b4 = 200 ml.Plant-1. The type of material liquid organic fertilizer hump and kepok banana peel did not have an effect on all observations, but the dosage liquid organic fertilizer hump and kepok banana peel had an effect on plant height aged 21, 28 and 35 hst, the number of leaves aged 21 and 28 hst and number of tillers aged 28,,42 and 55 hst. The best dosage of the type material hump in plant height aged 21, 28 and 35 hst, the number of leaves aged 21 hst and the number of tillers aged 28 hst and the type material peel material in plant height aged 28 hst and the number of tillers aged 28 and 42 hst dosage is 100 ml.plant-1. The best dosage of the type material in the number of leaves aged 28 hst and number of tillers aged 42 and 55 hst and the type material peel material in plant height aged 21 and 35 hst, numberi of leaves aged 21  hst and number of tillers aged 55 hst dosage is 50 ml.plant-1.

Abstract

This research aimed to determine the effect and best dosage of rice hull ash on peat soils to growth and yieId of pakcoy. The research was conducted in September 2019 – November 2019 at the ExperimentaI Garden, AgricuIture FacuIty of Lambung Mangkurat University, Banjarbaru. This research used a CompIeteIy Randоmized Design (CRD), single factor. The treatment factors were dosage of the rice hull ash (A) with seven types of treatment, namely a0=0,a1=2,a2=4,a3=6,a4=8,a5=10,a6=12 (tons ha-1). Each treatment was repeated four times so that there were 28 units of trial. Parameters is observed the number of leaves, plant height, root canopy ratio, total fresh weight of plant, fresh weight of sale, and yield of pakcoy. The resuIts showed that the treatment of rice hull ash not significant affect the pIant height, number of Ieaves, root canopy ratio, totaI fresh weight of pIant, fresh weight of sale, root canopy ratio and yield of pakcoy

Abstract

Kegiatan sosialisasi dan pendampingan teknis (workshop) tentang aplikasi teknik ‘DNA barcoding’ telah dilakukan untuk mendukung upaya konservasi secara ex-situ tumbuhan langka di Kebun Raya Banua, Banjarbaru, Kalimantan Selatan. Sebanyak tujuh orang hadir dalam kegiatan tersebut yang merupakan perwakilan dari empat instansi pemerintah dengan latar belakang keilmuwan yang berbeda, meliputi Balai Penelitian dan Pengembangan Lingkungan Hidup dan Kehutanan (BP2LHK), Balai Pengkajian Teknologi Pertanian (BPTP), dan Balai Penelitian Pertanian Lahan Rawa (Balittra), termasuk staf Kebun Raya Banua, Kalimantan Selatan. Dalam kegiatan tersebut, mayoritas peserta sangat antusias dan merasa sangat senang dengan kegiatan seperti ini. Persepsi awal mereka tentang analisis molekuler yang berat dan sulit ternyata tidak terjadi. Seluruh peserta begitu menikmati dan dapat melewati semua rangkaian kegiatan workshop dengan mudah, mulai dari ekstraksi DNA, PCR, hingga elektroforesis. Mereka mendapatkan pengetahuan baru mengenai aplikasi penanda molekuler untuk tujuan konservasi. Namun demikian, mereka menyarankan supaya dilaksakanan workshop secara khusus tentang materi bionformatik atau penelusuran database plasma nutfah secara in silico untuk mendukung upaya konservasi di Kebun Raya Banua, Banjarbaru, Kalimantan Selatan.

Abstract

Palm has a fibrous root system, consisting of a primary root, secondary, tertiary and quaternary. In general, palm root system is closer to ground level, however, in certain cases it may penetrate deeper. One of the root functions is to absorb water and nutrients from the soil. Palm roots dispersion can be determined by using the geoeletric resistivity method. Geoelectric resistivity data using Wenner configuration method is measured in three trajectory forming an equilateral triangle on palm plant row with a variation of 9 m (AB / 2) in accordance with palm plant spacing, with potential electrode spacing of 30 cm (MN / 2). Collection of geoelectric resistivity data is done by injecting electric current into the earth through two electrodes, the potential difference is then measured through two potential electrodes. Measurements were performed by varying the distance of the electrodes and potentials, gradually from the smallest distance to the largest. Measurement of palm root dispersion detection consists of 3 tracks (L1, L2, and L3). Measurements on June 24, 2014 carried out on track 1 (L1) between rows of palm plants, track 2 (L2) between the palm plant within the same row, and track 3 (L3) diagonally between the rows of plants (Figure 1). Measurement on July 8, 2014 were on track 1 (L1) is between rows of palm plants, track 2 (L2) and track 3 (L3) diagonally between the rows of plants.Geoelectric on diagonal trajectory where modified biopore infiltration pit is in place resulted in low resistivity values. This is related to soil water availability, where it affects the development of the root towards the biopore pits.

Abstract

Pemupukan merupakan suatu upaya penyediaan unsur hara yang cukup guna mendorong pertumbuhan vegetatif tanaman yang sehat dan produksi tandan buah segar (TBS) yang maksimal dan ekonomis serta ketahanan terhadap hama dan penyakit. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui kandungan unsur-unsur hara yang terdapat di dalam daun kelapa sawit dan tanah dari aplikasi pemupukan yang telah diberikan melalui pengambilan contoh daun dan tanah. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di kebun kelapa sawit Balai Pengawasan dan Sertifikasi Benih Perkebunan Provinsi Kalimantan Selatan Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan mengambil contoh daun sebanyak 60 sampel daun yang terletak pada pelepah daun kelapa sawit ke-17 dan mengambil 4 contoh tanah yang telah dikompositkan dari beberapa titik pengambilan di sekitar pohon kelapa sawit. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan masih rendahnya kandungan hara yang terdapat pada tanah dan jaringan tanaman kelapa sawit, sehingga perlu adanya perbaikan kultur teknis di kebun kelapa sawit.kata kunci : Status hara, Kultur Teknis, Kelapa Sawit.

Abstract

          The productivity of palm oil plantations are generally still low compared to the potential productivity of the land. Fertilization is an important factor in acheving high productivity, mainly to meet the requirement of nutrient avaibility. The research objective was to determine the avaibility of nutrient in oil palm leaves from the application of organic matter in modified biopore infiltration pit. This research was conducted in palm oil plantation PTPN 13 Pelaihari Tanah Laut,in 2013 and 2014. Sample collection were done by taking a leaf on the 17th oil palm midrib, which was taken using a purposively sampling spread system. The results showed a low level of nutrient content of nitrogen, potassium, and magnisium in plant leaf tissue in the palm oil plantation. Content of Phosfat in optimum level, and Calcium elements found  in a state of excess.

Abstract

Kalimantan is part of the world's megadiversity that has high genetic diversity. However, due to habitat degradation and overexploitation, most of these biodiversity are endangered. Currently, in the Banua Botanical Garden (KRB), South Kalimantan, ex-situ conservation effort of some of rare plants has been carried out. However, this activity is still constrained by many things, one of which is the limited data collection and characterization of the collection of rare plants at the location. The objective of this study is to introduce bioinformatics  techniques in supporting ex-situ conservation at the location, especially for research staff and conservation activists at the Banua Botanical Garden and several other government agencies, such as  the Center for the Implementation of Environmental and Forestry Instrument Standards (BPSILHK), the Natural Resources Conservation Center (BKSDA), the Agricultural Technology Assessment Center (BPTP), the Swampland Agricultural Research Center (Balittra) and the Center for Supervision and Certification of Food Crop and Horticultural Crops Seeds (BPSBTPH), including the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN).  In its implementation, 11 participants were present as representatives of the already mentioned institutions. In general, the activity was a success and received agood response from all participants. The evaluation showed that the output target of this activity was achieved, i.e., the increase in insight and science and technology ability of research staff and conservation activists at the Banua Botanical Garden as well as several agencies involved in the development and application of the latest bioinformatics techniques to support ex-situ  conservation activities of rare plants in Kalimantan.

Abstract

High school teachers as educators are highly demanded to have high competence in the scientific field, especially molecular biology, to improve the quality of education and the students they educate. However, the weak or gaps in knowledge and mastery of molecular biology material among high school biology teachers in various regions have prompted the need for intensive assistance to improve this. Hence, this activity aims to introduce PCR (polymerase chain reaction) analysis techniques as part of molecular biology materials to upgrade the competence and professionalism of high school biology teachers in Banjarbaru City and Banjar Regency, South Kalimantan. Technically, the activities are divided into two sessions, i.e., (1) general lectures to explain the basic concepts of PCR analysis and their applications and (2) hands-on practice of PCR analysis in the Genetics and Molecular Biology Laboratory of FMIPA ULM. In this activity, there were 14 participants consisting of biology teachers from several high schools in Banjarbaru City and Banjar Regency, South Kalimantan. Generally, the activities ran smoothly, and they were enthusiastic from the beginning to the end of the session. The evaluation showed that the knowledge and skills of teachers were increasing. However, similar or further activities (continuation) to improve the understanding of the concepts and practices of these teachers regarding molecular biology analysis are also necessary.
