Abstract

Organizational commitment refers to the thinking of individuals in the organization and working effectively and positively for the organization. Employee organizational commitment is a key factor that contributes to the achievement of organizational goals. The final performance of an organization depends on the level of commitment of its employees. This study is focused on knowing the characteristics of work and interpersonal relationships that affect the organizational commitment of employees in plantation sector organizations in Indonesia, especially at PT. AEP (Anglo Eastern Plantation) Ukindo Blankahan Estate North Sumatra, Indonesia. Characteristics of work consisting of skill variety, task identity, task significance, autonomy, feedback, and interpersonal relationships are the 6 main independent variables in this study. Affective commitment and normative commitment are the two main dependent variables for this study. A structured questionnaire survey was conducted to collect primary data from 100 randomly selected employees covering the plantation sector in Indonesia, especially at PT. AEP (Anglo Eastern Palntation) Ukindo Blankahan Estate North Sumatra, Indonesia. Data were analyzed using Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA). The findings reveal that skill variation (NOW), interpersonal relations (IRP), and autonomy (WOE) are significant and positive factors that can increase the affective commitment of employees in plantation sector organizations. Skill variation (NOW), task identity (PAA), autonomy (WOE), and feedback (RME) were significant and positive factors that increased normative commitment.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to use the Chinese Remainder Theorem approach to create a data security application system and to improve the data security of a confidential file, particularly data that uses image files. Observation and literature review were employed in this study to acquire data. The traditional approach is used to share data, in this case a secret message in the form of text. The embedding process and the extraction process are the two fundamental procedures in message insertion utilizing the Least Significant Bit approach. The Least Significant Bit steganography technique was used to replace the secret message bits in the final bit of each color component of the image pixels, according to the results. So that the image size does not change, only one message bit (value 0 or 1) is placed into one color component of the image. Furthermore, the processing time is affected by the size of the file, the length of the key, and the computer processor performance.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country famous for its natural and cultural wealth. One of the famous ones from Indonesia is from the tourism sector. To develop and advance the potential of the tourism sector in Lake Toba, especially in Lumban Julu District, and also as an effort to preserve culture, a museum is needed which is a generator for the revival of the area. In designing this library using the Neo-Vernacular Architecture approach of the Toba Batak culture. This is because the Neo-Vernacular Architecture approach elevates local wisdom, but with a touch that is in accordance with the current context.

Abstract

It’s undeniable right now that the tourism sector is a sector very reliable in growing the economy during the Covid-19 era where a country is no exception to Indonesia. To Increase the enthusiasm of the economy after pandemic an innovation is needed in carrying out the transformation of development especially in areas that can increase economic growth. One of the efforts related to this is reclamation of an area namely Forest Ecotourism in Bukit Saribu Karo Regency. Reclamation is carried out to overcome unavoidable environmental demage. The process of design Forest Ecotourism in Bukit Saribu Karo Regency Designed with a approach Green Architecture, The resulting ecotourism will pay great attention to various sector especially nature. The design of the Forest Ecotourism area in Bukit Saribu Karo Regancy to become an ecotourism are by managing aspect of life around it both nature and its inhabitatns. In its later construction, it is expected to produce environmentally friendly buildings that must maximize existing natural resources and not use excessive amounts of building materials.

Abstract

Robots had always been studied in various areas for educational, medical, and military purposes. However, in various writings, the manufacture of robots that are applied in plantation practice is very low. In this research, a robot for automatic watering has been developed. because the water circulation in Indonesia will run low, and when watering plants really need a lot of water and sometimes it is wasted as well as spending time applying it. Therefore, this research is applied research that can be applied in plantations.

Abstract

Lighting in a room is usually operated manually by humans. With the advancement of technology today, the operation of human work is getting less and more easy. The Touchless Automatic Switch can turn the lights on and off without touching/pressing the switch, so it will be able to facilitate the operation of the work. In addition, with the design of this switch installation, it is expected to reduce and minimize contact between people indirectly so that health protocols maintain distance and do not touch each other during the Covid-19 pandemic can be applied better. The Touchless Automatic Switch is a device designed with a working system with a program identifying the move through the sensor emitted from the device. Therefore, it is necessary to move/wave the hand directed/close to the sensor surface on the device so that the lamp can turn on and off automatically. Switch installation design is used to operate the load of lighting lights of a room automatically

Abstract

The City of Medan as a multicultural city which is a combination of several has many performing arts. So that with the things mentioned, it is used as an opportunity to create a diversity of attractions and cultural based tourist attractions. One form of support for this potential is a forum for realizing the diversity of performing arts. The design of this diverse performing arts space is then embodied in a performing arts building in the city of Medan .The design method used is to determine the flexibility othe f space indicator. The principthe le of flexibility of space that becomes the focus is the convertibility of space, The design of space is carried out through several indicators of Convertibility of space wvariablea variabel of Flexibilit o f space ,that is : (1) Orientation is a change in orientation and atmosphere with the wishes of the perpetrator without making a major overhaul of the existing space. (2) The proportion of multifunctional space adjusts several activities that are accommodated with various functions at different times

Abstract

Plantation companies that have palm oil processing factories that use their generators as a resource to carry out processing activities and domestic life in the plantation area itself and have their plantations, one of which is the Seiogan mill (SOGM) is a factory that manages palm oil into CPO with a capacity of 60 tons/year. A clock that uses two alternative power sources, namely PLTU Belawan and PLTD. This study discusses the economic feasibility of using PLTU Belawan using the remaining fuel produced by the palm oil mill as a power producer by comparing the use of a generator as a power producer. The steam turbine produces 10 MWh of power when the factory is running. The boiler produces 3 units of steam and operates 2 units of fiber fuel and processed shells. The factory stopped processing resources for employee housing sourced from a generator with a capacity of 500 KVa with diesel fuel. The price of electrical energy for each generator is IDR 22.8 fiber, / Wh shell IDR. 64.5,/k Wh diesel Rp. 732.7,/kWh..

Abstract

The effect of information and communication technology is growing fastest and has played a significant role in almost all areas of life, such as economic, social, cultural, religious, and educational, especially for colleges and universities. It aims to facilitate the delivery of information to lecturers and students. For students who are studying at colleges and universities, if they want to graduate and get a bachelor's degree, they are required to complete a final project or commonly known as a thesis. Students and lecturers can develop good communication and collaboration so that the final project can run effectively and efficiently. Communication between them can be direct and indirect wherever and whenever they are. Therefore, the design of a web-based thesis management information system can manage the entire thesis completion process and good communication between lecturers and students. The design of web-based management information system aims to make it easier for lecturers and students to share and exchange information anywhere and anytime by using the internet

Abstract

Medan Merdeka Square is one of the public green open spaces located right in the heart of Medan, which should be able to become a water absorption area and an absorber for air pollution in the city of Medan. And it should also be able to meet the needs of public space activities for the people of the city of Medan, but in fact, it has not run optimally as the function of green open space. Through the Community Participation research process, this Merdeka Square redesign provides design results that are by the wishes of the community and meet the needs of activities as green open spaces function. So that there is no decrease in the quality and quantity of the environment in urban areas due to the non-optimal utilization of green open space as water catchment areas, restoring the balance between green open spaces and built-up spaces (non-green spaces), so that urban areas can be achieved with healthy and comfortable environmental conditions for their users.
