Abstract

Siwang paradise is a natural tourist attraction that has a fantastic number of visits, but the visit underwent a very significant change. The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors that influence the interest in revisiting the Siwang Paradise natural tourist attraction. The method used is linear regression analysis method, the sampling technique is accidental sampling (direct samples based on conditions in the field), namely the sampling technique shown directly to tourists when research is carried out at the Siwang Paradise tourist attraction. Meanwhile, to obtain additional information that can support the accuracy of the research data, the researchers used respondents related to the research being carried out, the respondents were divided into two groups, namely: 1) Visitors, who were encountered while conducting research; 2) the manager or more clearly is the owner of the object. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive analysis and multiple regression analysis. This model is used in this study, because it wants to get information on factors of attraction, facilities, accessibility and services on the interest of repeat visits to the Siwang Paradie object simultaneously and partially. In multiple linear regression analysis, to ascertain whether the estimated model equation is unbiased, the classical assumption test will be carried out which includes normality test, multicollinearity test and heteroscedasticity. The results showed that the variable that had a significant effect on the interest in revisiting the Siwang paradise object was tourism services, with a significance value of (0.002), t-count is 3.366, which means that t-count is greater than t-table, .

Abstract

The nature of rice bran is easily damaged, it is necessary to seek a way to overcome this problem. The addition of antioxidants is one way of prevention, one of which is by using Dutch jackfruit leaf flour. This study was conducted to determine the physical and chemical quality of rice bran with different levels of Dutch jackfruit leaf powder. The study was conducted using a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments, where there were 3 replications in each treatment. The treatments that were tried were as follows: DNB0 (Rice bran with 0% Dutch jackfruit leaf flour) ; DNB1 (Rice bran with 0.6% of Dutch jackfruit leaf flour) ; DNB2 (Rice bran by giving 1.2% Dutch jackfruit leaf flour) ; DNB3 (Rice bran with 1.8% Dutch jackfruit leaf powder). Qualitative data such as odor and color of rice bran were discussed descriptively, while quantitative data such as weight, number of lice, and chemical quality of rice bran were analyzed using statistical inference method using Analysis of Variance with Completely Randomized Design method. The results showed that the use of Dutch jackfruit leaf flour could still maintain the color and odor quality of rice bran stored for one month. The results of the analysis of variance showed that there was no significant effect of using Dutch jackfruit leaf flour up to a level of 1.8% on the quality of weight, lice, moisture content, ash, crude protein, and crude fat of rice bran.

Abstract

Rice Bran is an important feeding material because it contains high nutrition that are necessary for livestock to live and reproduce. However, it contains high amount of fat around 10-14%, which cause it to easily emits putrid odor. That is why, it is necessary to preserve the rice bran. The purpose of this research is to find out the effect of clove leaves extract on rice bran’s physical quality during storage. This could be used as the primary data in utilizing clove leaves as preservatives. This research uses a Completely Randomized Design and descriptively analyzed in the Feed Technology and Engineering Laboratory of Unpatti’s Faculty of Agriculture in the period of two month. The ingredients that are used in this research are rice bran, and clove leaves extract with different level of usage. There are 4 different trials with 4 repetitions. The variables that are observed is the physical quality of the bran, including: weight, color, odor, numbers of fleas, and weather it builds up mold or not. The result of this research showed that the use of clove leaves extract with 2 : 1 ratio gave better result for physical quality of the rice bran, because it could suppress the number of flea, and eliminate musty odor of rice bran in storage period of one month.
