Abstract

Marine Tourism Area at Pari Island cluster has a variety of ecosystems, one of them is the seagrass ecosystem. Seagrass is one of the coastal and marine resources, which has the potential to be developed as a resource for tourist attraction in the marine tourism area of Pari Islands. Purpose this study is to describe seagrass conditions, is it worthed to be used as a tourist attraction by conducting field research of species composition, distribution, percent cover at marine tourism territory Pari Islands, DKI Jakarta. The study was conducted from April-May 2017 with the descriptive method, where this method is done by describing or describe seagrass conditions. Survey and field data acquisition carried out in Pari Islands at 10 stations using the quadrant transect method. Based on field observation, in the field was found 5 species of seagrass species Cymodocea rotundata, Enhalus acoroides, Halophila ovalis, Syringodium isoetifolium and Thalassia hemprichii that can be a potential attraction for marine tourism. The results of calculations percent cover of seagrass shows that the highest percent cover was at station 9 with total percent was 76,2 %, while the lowest percent cover was at station 2, amounting to 20,4 %.Keywords: Marine Tourism, Pari Islands, Seagrass Beds

Abstract

One of many ecotourism potentials that exist in Indonesia is natural object that can be utilized by the community for watering purposes as well as for the tourist attraction, namely waterfalls. One of developing natural tourist attraction is Gembu Waterfall. This waterfall is located in Dusun Banyuwangi, Jatimulya Village, Girimulyo District, Kulon Progo Regency, Special Province of Yogyakarta. This research used qualitative method with SWOT analysis. From the results of the study, it was found that Gembor Waterfall is worthy as a tourist destination, which is expected to improve the economy of the community.Keywords: Waterfall, Tourism Destination, Ecotourism

Abstract

Yogyakarta is a popular destination as a place of ecotourism, currently, there are about 182 ecotourism objects. Following the development of regional and national competition, this research attempts to improve the competitiveness of ecotourism Yogyakarta by using the concept of competition strategy Porter's Diamond Model produces findings that the level of Yogyakarta ecotourism competitiveness is at MEDIUM level or has a value of 2.39 from 3 scale. The competitiveness aspect includes the Factor Conditions (FC) at the MEDIUM level (score 2.00), Demand Conditions (FS) at the MEDIUM level (score 2.50), Firm Structure, Strategy, and Rivalry(FOR) at the MEDIUM level (score 2.33); Support and Related Industries(SRI) at the Medium level (score 2.33); Government Role at the MEDIUM level (score 2.50), and Chance Factor at the MEDIUM level (score 2.67).Keywords: Daya Saing, Porter’s Diamond Model, Ekowisata

Abstract

In observation of this study the authors are interested in aspects Ecotourism the Ancient Volcano of Nglanggeran, which has the potential of uniqueness nature, mysterious and beautiful landscape as well as regional partner of reservoir Nglanggeran that has appeal. Those interesting places were located at Pathuk Wonosari Gunung kidul in Yogyakarta Special Regency. When the sun set come the panorama were really beautiful and amazing views. Since 2011-up to now that places were not seriously managed by participation from the stakeholder of government and private investor, and being handled by the local community management. In some conditions facilities and security aspects was not well accomodated, for there is no safe guard or guides at the location, only by exception or upon customer request. The ancient volcano sights and Embung Nglanggeran ponds were a pair of specific attractions that have to be developed better. Mostly tourist after enjoy the panorama and hiking track to the top of ancient volcano Nglanggeran, they went to see Embung Nglanggeran ponds. Awfully there is no public transportation, and the visitors have to go by their own transportation. More over the road were badly and dangerous. The local communities and government as stakeholder have to support the area of Nglanggeran district to be more seriously, as well as the collaboration of local community and government being well organized.Keywords: Ecotourism; the Ancient Volcano of Nglanggeran

Abstract

Tourism is known as a borderless sector or has no separating boundaries. It is important to facilitate accessibility for tourist with disability, so the development of a destination will increase as it can be enjoyed by anyone. The research was conducted using qualitative descriptive method. Data were collected through observation and in-depth interviews. Then the data are analyzed by qualitative descriptive technique include: data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. The results revealed that the needs of tourists with visual impairment include: guide tiles, tactile map, signs, showroom lighting, audio availability, Braille text and hands on. The needs of tourist with mobility impairment include: accessibility in parking areas, ramps, doors, toilets, pathways, signs, plenty of seats, enough space in exhibit room, and displays are in suitable height.Keywords: accessibility, disabled, accessible tourism, museum

Abstract

Dieng tourism resources is a unity between natural resources, archeological, and community life. These conditions resulted in nearly all processes of tourism development will affect people's lives, and conversely, any community activities will also affect tourism. In every aspect of tourism development needs to involve the community as part of the development impact and receiver. Dieng community participation in social and cultural activities is one manifestation of ngaruhake norm. Ngaruhake is a social norm that aims to maintain harmony within the community scale, but does not apply to a public scale. Participation is based on a moral obligation to realize the common interests or helping others, not for himself personally. Levels of participation can be divided into three groups, namely mokoki (main actors), ngomongin (supporting actor), and masabodo (not involved). Spatially, greater area of space, community participation will be lower and the other hand, narrow region of space will increase community participation.Keywords: participation, tourism, Dieng
