Abstract

The aim of this research is to know the effect of giberelin on the quality of watermelon fruit, fruit weight, fruit diameter, fruit flesh diameter, and number of seeds per fruit. The research conducted in March to June 2018, in Donoyudan village, Kalijambe district, Sragen regency. This study used a factorial method with the basic design of a Completely Randomized Block Design consisting of two treatments and three replications: 1 Gibberellin concentration: G0 = 0 ml / l water, G1 = 5 ml / l water, G2 = 10 ml / l water, G3 = 15 ml / l water, G4 = ml / l water, 2. Application Time: F1 = 07.00 - 08.00, F2 = 16.00 - 17.00. The results showed that the highest watermelon weight was obtained by giving 5 ml / l of gibberellin which was applied in the morning and lowest with no gibberellin application.

Abstract

Goat manure is a fertilizer that works to improve the yield of plants, and can replace the use of inorganic fertilizers. This study aims to determine the effect of giving various forms of goat manure to the growth and yield of Convolvulus. The research was conducted in Kliteh Village, Sragen, with a height of 109 m above sea level with soil type vertisol. The study used Completely Randomized Design with single factor and repeated 3 times. The treatments were Fertilizer N (N1), Whole Nursery Cow Fertilizer (N2), Giving Fertilized Goat Pupuk (N3), Water Supply of Goat Goat (N4) and Water Supply + Goat Dung (N5). The results showed that Fertilizer N gave the best result compared to the treatment of various types of goat manure on the crop yields, the number of leaves, the weight of fresh stover and the weight of the dried straw, while the shape of the whole goat manure gave the best yield on the crop yield convolvulus than other forms of manure goat.

Abstract

The objective of the research was to study the effect of the application method of phosphate fertilizer to the growth and yield of several rice varieties in Alfisol. This pot experiment was done at a glass house of Sumber Banjarsari Surakarta, at an elevation of about 100 meters above sea level from February till July 2015. This study was done under factorial design arranged in a completely randomized design involving two treatments, method of phosphate applications (six levels of treatments) and three rice varieties (IR54, Membramo and Pepe variety). The study concluded that the rice varieties used in this study (IR64, Membramo, Pepe) showed no different response to fertilizer application P. Fertilization P in the form of fast soluble P applied insplit application can save fertilizer to half the dose.

Abstract

Farmers' income levels are generally influenced by many factors. Several factors related to the income level are the factors that come from the society itself, among others, from the socio-economic characteristics of the farmers themselves. Organic rice farming is one of the commodities that have a bright prospect to increase the income of farmers. This can give motivation for farmers to develop organic farming in the hope that harvest will get high yield. The dangers posed by modern agricultural farming systems to health and the environment lead to increased public demand for organic products. The purpose of this research is to (1) This research aims to know and analyze the characteristics of farmers, (2) to analyze the total cost and revenue and income of organic rice, (3) to analyze the efficiency level and BEP (Break Even Point) certified organic paddy farming . Sampling method used in this research is simple random sampling with 40 farmers counted by Slovin formula. The analysis used by: (1) Scale Average analysis for farmer characteristics (2) method of cost analysis and revenue and farming income, and (3) Analysis of farming efficiency using R / C (Return Cost Ratio) analysis method. The location of research is determined by purposive that is Dlingo village, Mojosongo sub-district, Boyolali regency. The results of this study conclude that: (1) Characteristics of organic farmers are men more role than women, age of organic farming business over 50 years, Most farmers in Dlingo village have been living for more than 30 years, the main livelihood farmers is the agricultural sector. (2) Based on the total average total cost for organic farming from certified group on average Rp.20.495.000, - Average revenue of Rp. 35.000.000, -. Income per planting season is Rp. 14505.000, -. The organic certified farmer group earns a R / C ratio of 1.7, indicating that R / C> 1, then the farming with the certified organic system is efficient. Rice farming with certified organic system is advantageous because BEP value of production volume is 2,927 <farmer production, while BEP value is production price 4,099 <selling price at farmer level.

(2) Knowing income difference of farmer  using slashing and tradig system (3) Comparing risk analysis and strategies to overcome the risk of rice farming with slashing and trading system. The research was conducted in February-March 2018. The type of this research is quantitative descriptive research. Respondents of this research are 30 farmers of slash system and 30 farmers of non tebas system. Data collection was obtained using survey method, field observation and structured interviews to farmers using questionnaires. The results of the study explain the perception of farmers in choosing rice sales system with non tebas system better than the slashing system. There is no difference in net income between the slashing and non-slash sales system. Based on production risks, price risks, and net income risks, a slashed rice sales system has a low risk of non-slash system. Strategies to address production risks include reducing input risks, risk reduction technologies, choosing low-risk activities, production diversification, input and product reserves and price risks include market pricing information, upcoming prices, direct sales, spreading sales.
