Abstract

Bawang putih banyak dibutuhkan masyarakat di Indonesia. Kebutuhan bawang putih tinggi tetapi produksi dalam negeri tidak mencukupi sehingga selalu impor. Harga bawang putih di pasaran di saat-saat tertentu melonjak tinggi. Untuk itu perlu upaya meningkatkan kemampuan masyarakat dalam memenuhi kebutuhan bawang putih dengan cara menanam sendiri bawang putih di halaman rumah. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan memberikan penyuluhan dan pelatihan bertanam bawang putih dalam polibag. Kegiatan pengabdian dilaksanakan di Sorogenen, Kelurahan Jagalan, Surakarta pada bulan Mei – Agustus 2020. Peserta terdiri dari ibu-ibu pengurus Pokja III PKK Kelurahan Jagalan. Materi penyuluhan tentang mengenal tanaman bawang putih, manfaat bawang putih bagi kesehatan dan teori tentang cara bertanam bawang putih dalam polibag. Kegiatan praktek meliputi cara penyiapan media, cara memilih bibit yang baik, cara menanam, pemeliharaan dan panen. Kepada peserta diberikan paket berupa bahan media tanam, polibag, sprayer, benih bawang putih varietas Lumbu Putih (varietas dataran rendah) untuk ditanam di rumah masing-masing. Tim pengabdian melakukan monitoring perkembangan tanaman peserta. Dari hasil kegiatan ini disimpulkan : ada peningkatan pengetahuan peserta tentang bawang putih dan manfaatnya untuk kesehatan, peserta bisa melakukan penyiapan media, penanaman, pemeliharaan dengan benar. Ibu-ibu mampu bertanam bawang putih dalam polibag di rumah masing-masing dengan baik. Umbi bawang putih hasil panen para peserta berukuran kecil (diameter umbi 1-2 cm) tidak membentuk siung atau berupa bawang tunggal tetapi mempunyai aroma yang lebih tajam dibanding bawang impor.

Abstract

Sumber daya alam yang melimpah baik dari tanaman maupun dari hewan dapat digunakan secara maksimal untuk kegiatan pertanian sehingga meningkatkan pendapatan petani, meningkatkan kualitas dan kuantitas hasil pertanian. Ternak sapi merupakan salah satu hewan yang menghasilkan limbah baik padat maupun cair. Tujuan umum kegiatan pengabdian yaitu memanfaatkan limbah ternak cair secara maksimal, target khusus yang ingin dicapai adalah dapat memanfaatkan limbah ternak khususnya urin sebagai bahan baku pembuatan pupuk organik cair (POC) yang ramah lingkungan. Program ini juga bertujuan untuk bisa memanfaatkan dan mengurangi polusi yang disebabkan oleh kotoran ternak. Sedangkan metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian pada masyatarakat ini adalah simulasi dan demonstrasi, sedangkan kelompok sasaran adalah petani ternak bertempat di Desa Kwangsan Kecamatan Jumapolo, Kabupaten Karanganyar. Pelaksanaan pendampingan pembuatan POC berjalan lancar, mudah dilakukan secara mandiri melalui demonstrasi. Hasil pengabdian masyarakat diharapkan dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan pengalaman memanfaatkan limbah ternak sebagai bahan baku pukuk organik yang ramah lingkungan

Abstract

Bahan pangan berupa jamur atau yang disebut jamur konsumsi (jamur tiram, jamur kuping, jamur merang, dll.) sudah banyak dikenal masyarakat di Indonesia. Sebagai bahan pangan, jamur mempunyai keistimewaan yaitu kaya nutrisi, kaya serat, mengandung senyawa-senyawa yang berkhasiat untuk menangkal penyakit dan harganya cukup murah. Masyarakat umumnya mengenal jamur sebagai bahan makanan yang rasanya enak, bertekstur kenyal seperti daging tetapi banyak warga masyarakat yang belum mengetahui manfaat jamur bagi kesehatan. Oleh karena itu perlu dilakukan kegiatan untuk memberikan pemahaman tentang manfaat jamur bagi kesehatan dan cara pengolahan jamur yang bervariasi untuk meningkatkan minat masyarakat dalam mengkonsumsi jamur.Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan: 1. Memberikan pemahaman kepada ibu-ibu tentang manfaat jamur konsumsi untuk kesehatan dan khasiat senyawa dalam jamur untuk melawan penyakit, 2. Memberikan bimbingan aneka variasi pengolahan jamur. Kegiatan telah dilaksanakan di Desa Triyagan, Kecamatan Mojolaban, Kabupaten Sukoharjo pada bulan Desember 2021– Januari 2022. Kegiatan pengabdian diikuti oleh 50 orang ibu-ibu kader PKK Desa Triyagan. Materi pengabdian dapat diterima dengan baik dan menambah wawasan ibu-ibu tentang manfaat jamur dan cara pengolahannya. Aneka variasi olahan jamur yang diperkenalkan dalam kegiatan ini yaitu jamur krispi, sate jamur, sosis isi jamur dan bumbu kaldu bubuk jamur.

Abstract

Morphological characters orchid species (natural) is very important to learn in order to support successful breeding orchids. Orchids of this species plays an important role as a parent crosses. The purpose of this study was to determine the morphological characteristics of orchid species and genetic diversity of natural orchids in Indonesia.Pelaksanaan some research done in the Faculty of Agriculture exsitu UTP Surakarta from May 2012 until November 2012 Rangcangan design used was Randomized Complete Block with three replications. Accession number consists of 12 orchid species, accession assumed as treatments and replications assumed as a group. Morphological characterization using a scoring guide Characterization of Ornamental Plants by Orchid. Cluster analysis performed by the program NTSYSpc version 2.02i with UPGMA method SimQual function. Dendrogram based on the similarity of 39% obtained by the two groups, the first group consists of Dendrobium liniale, Calanthe triplicate, crumenatum Dendrobium, Eria javanica, spathoglotis plicata, and Acriopsis javanica. The second group consisted of Cymbidium bicolor, Rhynchontylis retusa blume, Vanda tricolor var Suavis, Vanda tricolor var tri color and Vanda Limbata.

Abstract

The Research is proposed to determine the effect of planting time and dose fertilizer NPK on the growth and yield of seet corn. The research started from July – September 2011, in Village Slatri, Larangan, Brebes Central Java, with altitude 25 m above sea level, alluvial soil type. The research was used factorial in Randomized completely block design (RCBD) with 9 combinations and 3 replications. The treatment is J1P1; Planting time 70 x 20 cm with a dose of 100 kg NPK / ha, J1P2; Planting time 70 x 20 cm with a dose of NPK fertilizer 200 kg / ha, J1P3; Planting time 70 x 20 cm with a dose of NPK fertilizer 300 kg / ha, J2P1; Planting time 70 x 30 cm with a dose of NPK fertilizer 100 kg / ha, J2P2; Planting time 70 x 30 cm with a dose of NPK fertilizer 200 kg / ha, J2P3; Planting time 70 x 40 cm with a dose of NPK fertilizer 300 kg / ha, J3P1; Planting time 70 x 40 cm with a dose of NPK fertilizer 100 kg / ha, J3P2; Planting time 70 x 40 cm with a dose of NPK fertilizer 200 kg / ha, J3P3; Planting time 70 x 40 cm with a dose of fertilizer 300 kg NPK / ha. The results showed that the Planting time of 70 x 40 cm and the use of NPK fertilizer gave the best growth compared with other treatments.

Abstract

Rice is the main food crop commodity in Indonesia. However, in the process of cultivation there are obstacles that can reduce the level of productivity. One of the obstacles is the presence of pest attack one of them attacks blas disease (Pyricularia oryza). One of the causes is excessive nitrogen fertilization. One of the factors that can suppress the development of this disease is by application of P. polymyxa. This is the underlying title of this study. This study aims to determine the effect of P. polymyxa concentration and dose of nitrogen fertilizer on the intensity of blast disease (Pyricularia oryzea) in rice plants (Oryza sativa L.). This research was conducted in February - June 2017, where research Kebumen, Banyubiru, Semarang at altitude of place 478 m. The method used in this research is factorial method with RAKL pattern consists of 2 treatment factors and 3 repetitions. The first factor is the concentration of P. polymyxa (P) consisting of 4 levels ie concentration 0, 5, 10 and 15 cc / liter (P0, P1, P2 and P3) and the second factor is the dosage of nitrogen fertilizer (N) ie dose 45, 90 and 135 kg / ha (K0, K1, K2 and K3). The results showed that interaction between P. polymyxa concentration and nitrogen dose gave a very real effect on the intensity parameter of leaf blast attack and number of tillers but gave a real effect on the intensity parameter of neck blast attack, plant height, number of grain of hollow per panicle, and per hectare, number of permedional grains, wet stalks, dry stover, productive shoots, panicle length, number of grains per panicle and weight per 1000 seeds. The best treatment in the study of the effect of P. polymyxa concentration and the dose of nitrogen fertilizer on the intensity of blast disease (Pyricularia oryzea) in rice plants (Oryza sativa L.) was P2N2 (P. polymyxa 10 cc / liter with nitrogen dose of 90 kg / ha) .

Abstract

The aim of this research is to know the effect of giberelin on the quality of watermelon fruit, fruit weight, fruit diameter, fruit flesh diameter, and number of seeds per fruit. The research conducted in March to June 2018, in Donoyudan village, Kalijambe district, Sragen regency. This study used a factorial method with the basic design of a Completely Randomized Block Design consisting of two treatments and three replications: 1 Gibberellin concentration: G0 = 0 ml / l water, G1 = 5 ml / l water, G2 = 10 ml / l water, G3 = 15 ml / l water, G4 = ml / l water, 2. Application Time: F1 = 07.00 - 08.00, F2 = 16.00 - 17.00. The results showed that the highest watermelon weight was obtained by giving 5 ml / l of gibberellin which was applied in the morning and lowest with no gibberellin application.

Abstract

Cabbage plants (Brassica oleracea) are one of the vegetables that are widely cultivated by farmers in Indonesia, both in the highlands and lowlands. Cabbage plants are usually cultivated at the beginning of the dry season. Cabbage has high production potential and its marketing is relatively easy. So that it is right if the cabbage is prioritized as one of the leaf vegetable plants that needs to be further developed. Cabbage production in the last six years shows a trend of fluctuations every year. Production in 2012 increased by 0.14% to 7,550,021 tons from 7,539,533 tons, then increased by 1.95% to 7,469,013 tons in 2013, and decreased 3.06% to 7,461,697 tons in 2014, then in 2015 it decreased 2.62% to 7,265,840 tons, then in 2016 the production increased to 7,274,126 tons and subsequently in 2017 it increased 2.64%. Fluctuations in cabbage production are inseparable from the effect of an increase or decrease in the area of harvest and the attack of plant pests. The aim of this study was to determine the most effective concentration of the active ingredient of Permethrin 300 g/l to control Plutella xylostella L caterpillar pest in cabbage plants. This research was conducted in Sudimoro Village, Teras Subdistrict, Boyolali Regency at an altitude of 196 m above sea level with alluvial brown soil types, with soil solum thickness > 90 cm. Based on the Oldeman classification, Sudimoro Village is a D3 zone, with a wet month length of 3-4 months and a dry month length of 3-6 months. The method used in the study was a non factorial Complete Group Randomized Design (RAKL) with 5 (five) different concentrations of insecticide treatments. The concentration treatments used were 1 cc/ liters (C1), 0.75 cc/ liters (C2), 0.5 cc/ liters (C3), 0.25 cc/ liters (C4), and control (C5). The results showed that the treatment of the active ingredient concentration of insecticide Permethrin 300 g/l had a very significant effect on the parameters of the Plutella xylostella L population, the weight of the wet stover, the weight of the crop, and the diameter of the crop. However, it does not significantly affect the parameters of plant height and dry stover weight.The effectiveness of the active ingredient insecticide Permethrin 300 g/l in the parameters of the population of Plutella xylostella L is best in the treatment concentration of 0.75 cc/ liters (C2), with a 100% efficacy rate.

Abstract

Soybean (Glycine max (L.) Merr.) was one of the food commodities whose the demand has not been fulfilled. Local soybean production is predicted to stagnate in the range of 520,000 tons, while consumption is estimated to reach 3.07 million tons. The causal factor is suspected to be due to limited soil water supplies and unsuitable physical properties of the soil, especially in Vertisol . The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of organic fertilizer doses on several soybean varieties on Vertisol. The study design uses the Split Plot Design. As Main Plot are Varieties (Grobogan, Burangrang, and Baluran Varieties), while as Sub Plots are Doses of Organic Fertilizers (0, 10, 20, and 30 tons / ha). The data obtained were analyzed by Analysis of Varians. Then carried out further tests with the DMRT test (Duncan Multiple Range Test) at a significant level of 5%. The results showed that the administration of organic fertilizer at a dose of 30 tons / ha increased the yield of all soybean varieties tested, while the administration of organic fertilizer below that dose only increased in vegetative growth. Baluran varieties provide the best response to the provision of organic fertilizer, following Burangrang, and Grobogan.

Abstract

The reality in the field shows that not all lowland rice varieties which include local varieties, old superior varieties, new superior varieties and new types of varieties are suitable for organic cultivation because each group of varieties has different physiological characters. This research was carried out with the aim of determining the suitable lowland rice varieties for organic cultivation based on physiological characters. The research was carried out through pot experiments to determine the suitability of lowland rice varieties including local varieties, old varieties, new varieties, and new types of superior varieties in organic cultivation based on their physiological characteristics. with an altitude of 113 m above sea level with inceptisol soil types and tropical climate. The results showed that organic cultivation did not reduce root permeability to N uptake except for Cisedane variety. Organic cultivation lowered the KPK for the roots of the IR64, Cianjur and Mentikwangi varieties, but increased the KPK for the roots of the Pandanwangi and Cisedane varieties. The uptake rate of N, P, and K roots in organic cultivation was not different from conventional cultivation. The uptake of N roots in organic cultivation was lower than conventional cultivation. The uptake of N, P, and K by roots between varieties was not different. Organic cultivation reduced the uptake of N stems of varieties IR64, Mentikwangi and Cisedane. Among the varieties tested, there was no difference in N uptake in conventional or organic cultivation. Organic cultivation reduced the P uptake of stems of IR64 and Mentikwangi varieties, Organic cultivation decreased total N uptake of Mentikwangi varieties. In conventional and organic cultivation, the plant N uptake of all tested rice varieties was no different.
