Abstract

ABSTRACT Adolescence is a period of stressful transition from childhood to adulthood. Adolescents are social beings, the more positive the family function, the better the emotional intelligence of adolescents, and vice versa. The purpose of this study was to determine the affective function of the family on the emotional intelligence of adolescents in Rt 13 Rw 06 Kelurahan Kota Lama Malang. The research used cross sectional design. The population of this study were all adolescents in Kota Lama Malang Sub-District as many as 67 people with a total sample of 47 people. Samples were taken by Simple Random Sampling technique. The independent variable is the affective function of the family, the dependent variable is emotional intelligence. The instrument used is a questionnaire. Data analysis used the fisher's exact test. The results showed that the majority of respondents had family affective function in the good category, most of the respondents had emotional intelligence in the good category and there was a relationship between family affective function and adolescent emotional intelligence in Rt 13 Rw 06 Kelurahan Kota Lama Malang with p = (0.000) . Based on the results of this study, it is hoped that adolescents will be able to control their emotional intelligence properly by listening to their parents and teachers at school. Abstract

Non-Hemorrhagic Stroke is a stroke caused by a blockage of blood vessels in the brain by thrombosis or embolism so that the supply of glucose and oxygen to the brain is reduced. A person who experiences a non-haemorrhagic stroke can experience dizziness, hemiplegia, and swallowing disorders. Through nursing care, stroke patients are carried out monitoring the patient's level of consciousness, training muscle strength, and helping to fulfill daily life. The purpose of this case study was to find out the description of nursing care for stroke patients in inpatient rooms. This case study is descriptive oriented to the nursing process approach method. This case study activity was carried out on March 28 - 30 2022 in the Hospital Inpatient Room. Hermina Bekasi. The subject of this case is Mrs. G with a diagnosis of Non Haemorrhagic Stroke. The results of the case study show that the management of nursing care in nursing problems with cerebral tissue perfusion disorders, characterized by dizziness and increased blood pressure of 160/90 mmHg. Nursing problems that have been resolved include: impaired cerebral tissue perfusion and impaired physical mobility. The unresolved nursing problem is swallowing disorder, because the patient cannot swallow and is still using an NGT. Actions taken by nurses include: monitoring the level of consciousness, vital signs, giving semi-Fowler's position, ROM and involving the family in carrying out simple mobilizations. Recommendations for nursing actions in providing semi-Fowler's position and effective ROM to improve the recovery of stroke patients.

Abstract

Aging is a process that gradually results in cumulative changes. With increasing age, physiological and psychological functions decrease as a result of the aging process, including: physical decline, memory decline, cognitive decline and depression. The research objective was to determine the level of independence, intellectual function and mental status of the elderly at PSWT Budi Mulia 1 Cipayung, East Jakarta. The research used a quantitative method using a descriptive study design. The sample in this study was 100 respondents, taken by purposive sampling technique. The research was conducted at the Tresna Werdha Budi Mulia 1 Cipayung Institution, East Jakarta. This study used the Bartel Index instrument to assess the level of independence, the Short Portable Mental Status Questionnaire (SPMSQ) instrument to detect the level of intellectual impairment, the Mini mental state examination (MMSE) instrument to assess the presence of cognitive impairment and the Geriatric Depression Scale instrument. The results show that 35% of the elderly are partially dependent, 6% of the elderly are moderately impaired, 8% are mildly impaired, 24% of the elderly are mentally damaged and 84% of the elderly are at risk of depression and 12% of the elderly are mildly depressed. Conclusion in this study: the elderly who live in the Tresna Werdha Cipayung Institution, East Jakarta, are at risk of experiencing depression.
