'A Jamiy: Arabic Language and Literature Journal (p-issn: 2252-9926 and e-issn: 2657-2206) is a scientific journal that has published scientific papers since 2012. This journal is a Linguistics and Literature journal that is published twice a year in June and September by the Arabic Literature Study Program, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Muhammadiyah University, Gorontalo. This journal discusses language problems that are examined in the branches of applied linguistics, such as sociolinguistics, discourse analysis, critical discourse analysis, pragmatics, stylistics, corpus linguistics, and others. In the field of literature, it includes literary history, literary theory, literary criticism, and others, which may include written texts, films, and other media. We only accept scholarly papers written in Bahasa Indonesia, Arab and English.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan mengetahui (1) pengertian kalam khabar dan kalam insya (2) dialog Nabi Zakariya yang mengandung kalam khabar dan kalam insya dalam al-Qur’an (3) makna kalam khabar dan kalam insya’ yang menyimpang dari makna sebenarnya. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kepustakaan (library research) dengan objek penelitian dialog Nabi Zakariya as dalam al-Qur’an. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dilihat dari aspek terminology terdapat 7 ayat yang mengandung kalam khabar dan kalam insya’ yang keseluruhan ayat-ayat tersebut menyimpang dari makna sebenarnya. terjadinya penyimpangan makna disebabkan penerima informasi lebih mengetahui informasi yang disampaikan, maka dalam keadaan seperti ini kalam khabar tidak bertujuan untuk memberi informasi kepada yang belum mengetahuinya. Begitu juga kalam insya thalabi, bentuk amar datang bukan dengan makna sebenarnya, sebab perintah bersumber dari bawah ke atas. bentuk amar seperti ini tidak bisa disebut perintah, akan tetapi hanya permohonan (doa).

Abstract

The articel was conducted to analyze the forms of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder that my character experienced in Yasmina Khadra's novel Asybaḥul jaḥĪm. The study resulted in the conclusion first, that the character of I in Yasmina Khadra's novel Asybaḥul jaḥĪm underwent Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Second, through an analysis of the approach to literary psychology with Kaplan & Sadock theory, several important things have been found, among other things, there have been causes that led to the character I experienced PTSD in the novel, such as, Sulaiman's death, Haitem family events and insults to the family of my figures. Third, some characteristics of someone experiencing PTSD according to Kaplan and Sadock are found in the novel, among others, a) The Figure I see, hear, and even experience some events related to serious injury or death, as well as receiving threats to the physical integrity of himself or the person around him. b) The reaction of the character I involve fear and helplessness, c) The character I experience a recurring dream of the tragedy that inflicts suffering, etc. Fourth, there were found some attempts by my character to exit the PTSD he experienced, such as leaving Kafr Karam who was none other than his hometown, seeking new life in Baghdad and joining the resistance group.

Abstract

Puisi sebagai karya sastra yang sarat makna dengan kalimat indah yang terkadang maknanya sulit untuk dimengerti. Maka dari itu diperlukan suatu teori untuk membedah puisi secara mendalam. Teori semiotika Michale Riffaterre merupakan teori yang sering digunakan untuk mengungkap makna syair puisi. Pada penelitian ini, puisi yang menjadi objek ialahفي بلادي لا احترام للفقير karya Anis Syausan, puisi ini berisi tentang keprihatinan yang terjadi di negara Tunisia saat pergolakan tejadi pada tahun 2010. Pergolakan pada tahun 2010 tersebut terus menerus membawa dampak buruk bagi negara Tunisia. Dampak dari pergolakan politik tersebut ialah diskriminasi antara masyarakat kalangan atas dan kalangan bawah yang luar biasa. Ketimpangan sosial, ketidak adilan, dan keburukan-keburukan lainnya dipaparkan dalam puisi ini. Banyak permasalahan-permasalahan sosial tergambar dalam puisi ini yang menarik bila dikaji lebih dalam dan dianalisis secara mendetail. Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini untuk menginterpretasi makna puisi melalui pembacaan heuristic dan hermeunetik. Metodologi penelitian yang dipakai adalah metode kualitatif. Definisi dari metode kualitatif ialah sebuah metode penelitian yang bertujuan menafsirkan fenomena. Hasil penelitian ini adalah Pembacaan heruistik yaitu pembacaan tingkat pertama untuk mengetahui makna lugas dari puisi ini dengan mengalihbahasa puisi berbahasa arab ke bahasa Indonesia. Selanjutnya ada pembacaan hermeneutik/retroaktif di mana pada tahap ini dilakukan interpretasi yang lebih dalam atau disebut pula pembacaan tingkat kedua. Pada tahap ke dua ini ditemukan makna puisi secara umum yaitu kondisi negara Tunisia yang tidak memiliki keberpihakan terhadap rakyat jelata.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mentranskripsi tuturan yang berbentuk bunyi ke dalam bentuk tulisan Ortografi Arab Pegon Gorontalo (OAPG) dan membandingkannya dengan Ortografi Arab Pegon Melayu (OAPM) dan Ortografi Arab standar (OAS). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan linguistic kontrastif. Data dikumpulkan berbentuk dokumen manuskrip dari kitab dikili yang berasal dari empat kabupaten di Provinsi Gorontalo. Data OAPG dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik rekam catat, kemudian membandingkannya dengan OAPM dan OAS. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ditemukan beberapa persamaan sekaligus perbedaan antara   Ortografi Arab Pegon Gorontalo (OAPG) dengan OAPM dan OAS. Persamaan antara OAPG dengan OAPM yakni; (1) Kedua bahasa ini  menggunakan ortografi pegon ch [څ], ny [ڽ], ng [ڠ] dan g [ڬ] (2) Memiliki fonem, aksara bunyi vokal O dan E, serta menggunakan dua belas ortografi Arab standar urutan hija’i. Persamaan antara OAPG dengan OAS, yakni; 1) OAPG menggunaan enam belas ortografi OAS (ا-ب-ت-ج-د-ر-س-غ-ف-ك-ل-م-ن-و-ء-ي) berdasarkan urutan hija’i, namun tidak  memiliki dua belas konsonan OAS.  2) OAPG dan OAS sama-sama memiliki aksara yang disambung dan dipisah, serta menggunakan semua tanda diakritik Arab standar. Adapun perbedaan transkripsinya adalah: 1) OAPG tidak membedakan penggunaan tanda diakritik [E] menjadi [é] pepet dan [e] taling. 2) Memiliki suku kata yang dimulai dengan [nt-نْت] dan [ng-ڠْڬ], 3)  OAPG menggunakan fonem Arabic standar [f-ف]  dan bukan fonem pegon [p-ڤ]. 4)  OAPG tidak menggunakan ortografi [ڎ/ڊ] dan [ڟ] untuk fonem [dh] [th], 5)  OAPG memiliki tujuh fonem pembeda yang tidak dimiliki oleh Ortografi Arab Standar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul “Relasi Makna Antonim Dalam Al-Qur’an Surah Yusuf” yang bertujuan untuk menguraikan makna antonim dalam surah Yusuf. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penulisan ini adalah pendekatan dekskriptif analisis. Metode ini merupakan metode yang diandalkan dalam menganalisis antonim dalam Al-Qur’an surah Yusuf. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode simak dengan teknik mencatat. Pengumpulan informasi dan data yang diperlukan dalam penulisan penelitian ini penulis mengandalkan metode library research, yang berarti mengumpulkan informasi dengan membaca buku-buku, artikel dan hal-hal lain yang berhubungan dengan topik yang dikaji. Adapun hasil dari penelitian ini adalah menyimpulkan bahwa relasi makna antonim dalam Al-Qur’an surah Yusuf memiliki beberapa jenis, diantaranya adalah antonim sederhana, antonim bertingkat, antonim reversif, antonim konversif dan antonim taksonomi.

Abstract

This research is entitled Said Mahran's Self Defense Mechanism in the Novel Al-Lisshu wa Al-Killab by Najib Mahfuzh (Sigmund Freud's Literary Psychology Study). The purpose of this research is to describe the self-defense mechanism used by Said Mahran in dealing with the conflict that befell him. The method used in completing this research is descriptive analysis method using Sigmund Freud's literary psychology approach. The data source of this research is the novel Al-Lisshu Wa Al-Killab by Najib Mahfuzh. The collection technique was carried out by means of observation through reading and recording important data related to the research. The data analysis technique used the Miles and Huberman approach. As for the results of this study, there are five self-defense mechanisms used by Said Mahran, among others: Fantasy, Projection, Diversion, Action Formation and Apathy. The purpose of the self-defense mechanism used by Said Mahran is to reduce anxiety and fear of failure in carrying out and realizing his plans.

Abstract

Every word is a place that should contain meaning. The meaning drawn from a word must be in accordance with the contents of the place. Neither more nor less. Likewise, the Qur'an cannot be separated from pronunciation and meaning. One word that has many meanings is called Musytarak Lafdzi. Musytarak lafdzi itself is a family of balaghah science. Musytarak Lafdzi in the Qur'an is very much. Researchers limit the study to Surat An-Nur specifically on reckoning pronunciation. The purpose of this study was to determine the pronunciation of hisab in the letter An-Nur, as well as its parts. This research method is descriptive analysis with the type of library research. And the primary source of this research is the Al-Qur'anul Karim and its translations from several sources as well as scientific journals and books related to the studies discussed. The results of this study show that the Hisab pronunciation in the Qur'an is mentioned 81 times. Especially in An-Nur's letter, the reckoning is repeated 4 times with different forms. That is in Verses 11, 15, 39 and 57.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the stylistic aspects of hadith about believers and hypocrites in reading the qur`ān. The data of this study were collected from hadith books through seven famous narrators which were accessed with the maktabah al-syāmilah application. This research is a descriptive qualitative analytical method with five levels of stylistic analysis in general, namely: phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics, and imagery. To analyze data through stylistics with content analysis techniques. This analysis technique is intended as a data analysis technique consisting of data reduction stages, data presentation stages, and data verification stages. The result of this research is that the hadith contains a distinctive style of language and many meanings in it.

Abstract

This study describes the types of infringement of the principle of politeness in the drama script “riḥlatun ilā al-gād” by Taufik Al-Hakim. This study used three methods: the method of data collection, data analysis, and presentation of the result of the analysis. The data is collected using the listen and note method, the data analysis uses the pragmatic equivalent method, and the results of the analysis are presented informally. The results of this study found an infringement of the principle of politeness in 5 maxims: the tact maxim, generosity maxim, approbation maxim, modesty maxim, and agreement maxim, and also the infringement of the sympathy maxim was not found in this research. Some of the implicatures of infringement of the principle of politeness are implicatures for ordering, prohibiting, expelling, affirming, etc.

Abstract

This study describes Riffaterre’s semiotics in a poem antitled “Qabla an Numdhi” by Faruq Juwaidah. He is a modern Egyptian poem who is famous for his love poems. The theme of this poem is about the image of a person who feels that he will return to his lord. This poem is different from other Faruq Juwaidah poems. While other poems talk about love for her lover, this poem describes how she love the God. This study aims to reveal the results of heuristic reading and hermeneutic reading in the poem entitled “Qabla an Numdhi” by Faruq Juwaidah with Michael Riffaterre’s semiotic analysis. This is a library research using qualitative descriptive research methods. The results of this study are: (1) the results of reading the heuristic of this poem tell a person who feels that he will return to his God; (2) the results of hermeneutic reading in this poem is to tell someone who feels miserable, sad because he feels that his life is in vain; (3) the matrix of this poem is regret; (4) the model of this poem is someone who is very sorry because during his youth he spent just having fun; (5) the hypogram of yhis poem is related to the hadith of Hasan al-Bashri.
