Abstract

The role of libraries in supporting the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) has become increasingly important as awareness of sustainability and the importance of access to information grows. Bibliometric analysis of international scientific publications can provide an overview of the themes, contexts, and journals that most frequently publish articles related to the role of libraries in SDGs. Data collection was carried out using the Publish or Perish software and the Google Scholar database, and Boolean logic was used with the keywords "Library AND Sustainable Development Goals" and "Library AND Sustainable Development". The search yielded 42 journal articles related to the topic. The results showed that the number of publications on the role of libraries in SDGs fluctuated each year from 2015-2023, with the highest number of publications in 2017, totaling 8 articles. The journals that most frequently published articles on the topic were the International Journal of Library Science and The International Federation of Library Association and Institution Journal, with 4 articles each. The mapping of themes related to the topic using VosViewer was divided into 22 clusters, while the mapping of contexts was divided into 12 contexts related to the research topic. Based on the results of this study, the role of libraries in SDGs should be further optimized through international scientific journal article publications so that sustainable development goals can be achieved through the role of libraries.

Abstract

Increasing number of foreign children in Japan's preschool facilities and the complexity of the problems faced by foreign families are becoming more and more apparent. The social situation of high support needs for foreign parents and the lack of necessarily adequate childcare support for foreign parents, and the existing "Guidelines for Kindergarten Education (2018)," “Childcare Guidelines for Nursery Schools (2018). “And "Guidelines for Certified Nursery School Education and Childcare (2018)," describe childcare support that foreign parents cannot access directly. And In the field of preschool education practice, there is a lack of sufficient research accumulation and support for the actual situation. In other words, there is a need to find more specific ways to support foreign parents in preschool facilities. The survey method consisted of individual, semi-structured interviews, which were analyzed using Steps for Coding and Theorization (Ootani 2019). The results obtained are broadly classified into four perspectives and the discussion and conclusions are drawn from each perspective. In conclusion, the first point is an environment that facilitates the participation of foreign parents in the activities of preschool facilities; the second is support for the problems that foreign parents have; the third is support for the creation of materials and provision of information that concretely convey tacit knowledge of manners and etiquette. The third point is to support the creation of materials and provision of information that convey tacit knowledge of manners and manners in a concrete manner.

Abstract

According to the findings of this research, the phenomenon of internal displacement in Nigeria is a substantial problem that can be traced back to a wide range of causes, such as armed conflict, community violence, and natural disasters. The repercussions of internal displacement are widespread and encompass a variety of negative outcomes, including physical and psychological damage to people, as well as disruptions to communities' social and economic systems. It is essential to address the underlying reasons of internal displacement and put effective techniques for risk reduction, early warning, and reaction into place if one want to forestall its occurrence. This may involve actions such as resolving conflicts, managing the risks of natural disasters, and using community-based ways to meeting the needs of people who have been displaced inside their own country. This study posits that there is also a need for an improved level of dedication and cooperation on the part of the government, in addition to help from international organisations, in order to solve the problem of internal displacement in Nigeria.

Abstract

This study aimed to clarify the type of parenting support required by day care center nursery staff for fathers whose children are enrolled in these centers. In this study, ten fathers who met the selection criteria were interviewed, and their data were analyzed using the systematic cause analysis technique. The storylines were divided into “support for raising one’s own child,” “provision of knowledge about children,” “opportunities for socialization among parents,” and “support tailored to individual needs.” Although fathers saw day care centers as child-rearing centers, other facilities were not deemed social resources for fathers’ child-rearing support. Therefore, day care centers and childcare providers must create an environment conducive enough for fathers to feel comfortable approaching them as a social resource regarding child-rearing support. In light of the aforementioned, day care center nursery providers must foster a climate where fathers feel comfortable approaching them for social support. In doing so, it became clear that the social work principle of intervening at the point of contact where people and the environment interact and providing support based on individualization as well as providing specific support, such as childcare workers, should be involved in a way that fathers feel they can consult with them.

To support the required data iteration, in this study the implementation of collecting data used direct observation and oral tests. The data analysis technique applied uses the average score, percentage and t-test. It was concluded that the development of interactive multimedia-based teaching materials is feasible to use to improve language skills based on limited tests and broad tests. And the development model is effective in improving children's language skills significantly, seen in t_hitung > t_tabel.
