Abstract

The advancement of technology has facilitated access to information and various applications spanning desktop, web, and mobile platforms, becoming an integral part of everyday life. Among these platforms, websites are the most widely used. The web is widely used for business purposes. One of the common businesses is laundry services, which has become essential for individuals with busy schedules, such as workers and students. Busy daily activities make the need for clean clothes a top priority. However, the existence of many laundry service providers creates intense competition and difficulties for new consumers in finding the right service. This research examines a web services-based laundry service designed to help consumers find and book quality laundry services in their vicinity. It also provides process monitoring features and estimated time for clothes pickup. For laundry service owners, these web services offer opportunities to improve their business. This research uses the Waterfall method of software development, including the stages of analysis, design, coding, and testing. Use case diagrams were used to model the interaction between actors in the application, while class diagrams were used to describe the database structure. Activity and sequence diagrams were used to illustrate the flow of the application. The web interface is designed according to user needs. The result of this research is web services that can help consumers find and order laundry services easily and efficiently. Blackbox testing is conducted to ensure that all designed functions run properly. This application has the potential to help laundry service owners increase their income. Application development is done using Visual Studi Code with PHP Native programming language and MySQL as database management.

Abstract

Geographic Information Systems (GIS) play a crucial role in collecting, managing, analyzing, and presenting geographically referenced data. This research focuses on the development of a GIS-based application designed to map and analyze the distribution of creative economy participants in Balikpapan. Using the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Prototype method, the study integrates spatial data with geographic analysis, utilizing technologies such as Node.js, Leaflet, Laravel, and QGIS in the development process. Data related to creative economy actors is gathered locally, while spatial data is sourced from the Ina Geoportal website. This web-based application provides comprehensive mapping capabilities, enabling users to identify strategic business locations, optimize business potential, and improve service accessibility. Additionally, the tool aims to offer insights for local government policymaking, contributing to regional economic growth and enhancing community welfare. The integration of GIS into the application also supports the preservation and promotion of regional cultural identity, offering valuable information for sustainable development. Ultimately, this research highlights the significant role of GIS in improving economic planning, fostering informed decision-making, and driving sustainable development in Balikpapan.

Abstract

Hardly will someone acknowledge that the bandwidth we use every day is as authentic as most ISPs advertise, even those offering dedicated services. There are usually shortcomings, especially on upload and download bandwidth speeds. This paper presents the classification of simulated fake bandwidth data using the Long Short-Term Memory model, which though seldom found, is a very effective approach in network analysis. There were 1400 bandwidth data points collected from the MikroTik RB 1100 AHx device in a month, then further processed with normalization, and divided to have 80% training and 20% testing. The LSTM model applied had an accuracy rate of 98.93%, proving that it is capable of classifying either genuine or fake bandwidth instances accordingly. Of 1,400 test data points, the model managed to classify 723 as fake bandwidth and another 677 as genuine, resulting in a classification error rate of only 1.07%. The results clearly prove that LSTM has huge potential for real-time bandwidth manipulation detection, key to enhancing trust and efficiency in network management. In this respect, this research shows that bandwidth analysis combined with LSTM can be an original solution for network monitoring

Abstract

The rapid development of information technology has led almost all companies and certain sectors to desire that all processes in their offices become fast and practical, including the internship application and registration process. PT Biro Klasifikasi Indonesia, Samarinda Branch, is a company that utilizes information technology; however, there are still aspects of information technology use that are not yet effective and efficient. One such aspect is the student internship registration, which is still done by registering directly at the company. This process is quite time-consuming and has many weaknesses. These weaknesses include long processing times and inadequate accuracy, such as incomplete or lost documents upon receipt, which can disadvantage applicants. As a result, this registration system poses difficulties for prospective interns outside the area. Therefore, the purpose of designing and developing a web-based internship information system at PT Biro Klasifikasi Indonesia Samarinda Branch is to simplify the internship registration process and assist the admin in verifying registration status, managing certificate data, and making it easier for applicants to fill out the registration form, view registration results, and check registration status through the website. The system development method used in this research is the waterfall model. To implement this internship registration information system, supporting components must function properly. These components use the Laravel framework and MySQL database. The results of this research, based on black box testing and respondent questionnaires, indicate that all features of this web-based internship information system can be used effectively and function as intended, thereby helping users manage internship registration.

Abstract

The research titled "Bajau-tainment" Educational Game (Edu-game) is a research project that focuses on the development of a Puzzle Game designed to improve memory, specifically in language learning. In this game, players must arrange randomized letters to form a word in the Bajau language. This research applies the shuffle random algorithm, which aims to ensure that the arrangement of letters is always shuffled, making the gameplay dynamic, non-monotonous, and engaging. AI Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology will also be applied in this research. Using the Finite State Machine (FSM) model method, the game will feature a game agent character that will accompany children during gameplay, like how a friend accompanies students in a classroom. This virtual friend can display emotions such as happiness or sadness based on the game environment. The research aims to make this edu-game more appealing and interactive for children. The AI game agent will act as a friend who accompanies the child throughout the game.
