SiLeT: Studies in Learning and Teaching is an internationally recognized journal in the field of education (Learning and Teaching) and is published three times a year (in April, August, and December). The aim of this journal is to publish high-quality studies in the areas of learning, teaching, curriculum development, learning environments, teacher education, educational technology, educational developments, measurement and evaluation, educational statistics, and other learning-teaching issues. Studies may relate to any age level - from infants to adults. SiLeT, being an international journal, our editorial advisory board members are from various countries around the world. The articles sent to the Journal are always reviewed by two members of the Editorial Advisory Board (double-blind peer review), and in some cases, if necessary, by another member of the Board. Editorial Advisory Board will be supported by peer reviewer of SiLeT. Depending on the evaluation reports of the members of the Editorial Advisory Board, articles are published or not. The article evaluation process takes approximately three months. The authors are responsible for the errors, if any, in their published articles. The articles need to be not published elsewhere previously.

Abstract

This research aims to describe and analyze the implementation of zoning system policies at 10th State Senior High School Surabaya Methods of this research is using a qualitative approach with case study design and collecting data using interviews, observations and documentation. Data analysis techniques in this study use interactive models of analysis that have three components, namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. The results obtained from this study show that the implementation of the zoning system at the 10th State Senior High School of Surabaya is related to 6 variables, namely: (1) Size and the purpose of the zoning system policy in the implementation of New Student Admissions at 10th State Senior High School of Surabaya; (2) The resources formed by the AONL team at 10th State Senior High School of Surabaya; (3) The characteristics of the AONL Zoning System executors comitee; (4) The attitude of the registrants towards the implementation of zoning system policies in AONL at 10th State Senior High School of Surabaya is considered to be good enough; (5) The communication that occurs between implementers has been well established; (6) Economically, socially and politically prospective students in 10th State Senior High School of Surabaya are considered quite good.

Abstract

Drug abuse among college students is a worrying problem and threatens the survival of the nation. At Health University (HU) of Healthy Building Indonesian National Nurses Association (INNA) Mojokerto East Java, drug education is also provided for nursing students. Therefore, the researcher conducted a literature review regarding the development of a curriculum management model for the addiction study program at HU INNA Mojokerto, East Java. This is useful as a foundation for researchers to establish schools with addiction science with the specialization of nurses and addiction counsellors who can later assist in treating victims of drug addiction and providing counselling services to drug addicts. The results shows that as for the components of mastery of knowledge, special work abilities, and authority and responsibility, it refers to the level 6 INQF in the field of addiction treatment that has been agreed upon by the INQF Directorate General of Higher Education drafting team involving the INNA. The implication of this research is to prepare the curriculum with the aim of providing guidelines for institutions providing addiction care services education in Indonesia. Content of addiction nurse management materials: addiction case management, recovery management, addiction care service management.

Abstract

The sudden changes in weather and unpredictable rain have an impact on human life. The objective of this research is to analyze the effectiveness and sensitivity of a rain alarm prototype and its relationship with STEAM. This study employs the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development or Production, Implementation or Delivery, and Evaluations). Then, the benefits will be applied in student learning by teachers through global warming education with an environmental awareness theme. From this research, the following findings were discovered: 1) The rain alarm prototype has a high effectiveness, where each component used was successfully processed and utilized; 2) the sensitivity level revealed that the water, temperature, and humidity sensors have high sensitivity; 3) the relationship between the prototype and STEAM lies in the science aspect, as measured parameters were approached scientifically, the technology aspect through the utilization of the ThingSpeak application, engineering aspect through the collaboration of three different sensors (water, temperature, humidity), and analyzing their contributions in the field of classroom learning. In terms of art, the sensor components are neatly packaged and a housing is also created as an example of installation. Mathematics is found in the coding within the Arduino application. However, a limitation of the research is the inability to utilize an automatic roof system, which means that it cannot automatically lift snacks/clothes during rainfall. Therefore, future research can further develop this prototype by incorporating an automatic roof system.

Abstract

This research aimed to analyze the production and scientific mapping of Flipped Classroom (FC) research during Covid-19. The bibliometric method was applied using the Scopus database source, and data were analyzed using the VOSviewer. The results of the study are: (1) The trend of FC publication during Covid-19 continues to increase; (2) English is the primary language used in the FC research; (3) Top publication sources are articles published in journals; (4) The top most prolific writers are Lewin, D, R. and authorship patterns resulted in 22 strongly connected authors; (5) The top countries and institutions in conducting FC research during Covid-19 are the United States and the University of Pennsylvania; (6) The author's most used keywords in the top five are FC, Covid-19, students, e-learning, and teaching; (7) The most citations occurred in articles published in 2020 with a total of 405 citations written by Chick et al. in the field of educational technology studies; and (8) The network and overlay visualization of the FC research consist of four clusters representing four themes regarding the FC during Covid-19. The FC approach can be described as a popular educational model among researchers.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country with a significant portion of its territory consisting of water bodies, which makes it prone to flooding. Therefore, the development of an early warning system in the form of a flood alarm prototype is crucial. This research is designed using the Design Thinking models method. Based on the created prototype, STEAM-based learning can be implemented to enable students to learn physics through scientific steps. It also fosters critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication skills in accordance with the 21st-century concept, while increasing students' awareness of natural disasters in their surroundings.
