Abstract

Abstract: Covid-19 is an acute respiratory tract infection that is easily contagious. Wonocolo Village is one of the villages in Surabaya that is prone to the spread of Covid-19 due to high population mobilization. In addition, in the Wonocolo area RT 11 RW 4 does not yet have public hand sanitizer facilities. Public awareness about personal hygiene is also starting to decrease. By observing these phenomena and problems, a hand sanitizer pedal procurement activity was carried out in the Wonocolo RT 11 RW 4 area. The hand sanitizer pedal is operated by stepping on the foot to minimize the possibility of the spread of Covid-19 due to alternating hand touches. The method used is to make and install a hand sanitizer pedal, and explain how to operate it. The changes felt by residents from the procurement of pedal hand sanitizers are that the Wonocolo RT 11 RW 4 area has public hand sanitizer facilities. This indirectly reminds and familiarizes residents to clean their hands before and after activities outside the home. The activity went well and was greeted enthusiastically by the residents. It is evident from the participation of residents in helping the process of making and installing hand sanitizer pedals.

Abstract

In 2019, the country of Indonesia experienced a period of the Covid-19 virus pandemic, which prompted the government to make new policies to prevent the spread of Covid-19. Since 2020, Indonesia has implemented a normal and health protocol called 5M (the mandatory wearing of masks, mandatory washing of hands with soap and running water, obligatory distancing, avoiding crowds, and limiting mobilization and interaction). Protecting the environment, building village public facilities, and re-implementing health protocols are one of the steps in preventing the spread of the Covid-19 virus and producing a healthy environment. By using the method of interaction between residents related to the covid-19 virus, this activity is expected to be able to prevent the spread of the covid-19 virus and produce a healthy environment. This community service activity carried out spraying of disinfectants, fogging, distribution of masks and antiseptic handwashing soap, making hand washing stations, and also painting roads to beautify the village..

Abstract

Automation systems are vital for production departments in industry. One of the automation systems used in almost all industries is the programmable logic controller (PLC). The widespread use of PLC has long been applied as a standard curriculum in vocational schools (SMK). The widespread use of PLCs in the industrial world certainly increases job opportunities for vocational students who have expertise and skills in this field. In connection with this, the electrical engineering study program at the University of Muhammadiyah Gresik held PLC Zelio training for students of SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Gresik. This Zelio PLC training includes training in PLC wiring and installation, as well as the use of its PLC software. This training was held at the University of Muhammadiyah Gresik campus in the Automation and Instrumentation Laboratory. At the end of the training, SMK students were given a simple assignment according to the training material, namely assembling a Zelio PLC and making a simple program. From these assignments, all students are able to compose and make simple programs. Meanwhile, based on the questionnaire related to this training, all students also gave a score between 4 and 5, which means the training was quite good and satisfactory. It is hoped that with this training, students have the expertise and skills, especially in the field of PLC and are ready to enter the workforce after graduation.

Abstract

Writing was an ability that needs to be developed from an early age. The ability to write was still an obstacle for teachers and students. This was due to less than optimal reading interest. This activity took place from June to May 2021 . Activity aimed to produce a collection of short stories from the students of SMP Kanzul Mubarok. Activity was attended by 20 students and 3 teachers of SMP Kanzul Mubaarok Bekasi City. The result of the activity was the publication of short stories with characters made by students. The title of a collection of short stories created by students entitled: Can I stay, rays of guidance from the eastern horizon, from Jogya to Malaysia, and true friendship, Sabrina: a glimpse of a travel story. The final result was not everything, students' ability to write must be continuously honed and trained so that the ability to choose diction, grammar and imagination was strong. It could be concluded that students' writing talents and interests had different levels. In writing, students had different abilities, so that teachers must be able to accommodate these various abilities. Students were more excited when their short stories could be published, and given an ISBN

Abstract

This community service is carried out by lecturers and students of the State University of Malang in Desa Karangan, Kecamatan Badegan, Kabupaten Ponorogo. There is one thing that is the focus of the community service work program in Desa Karangan, namely a low community literacy culture. The high number of school-age children is not accompanied by adequate literacy facilities. So that the literacy movement in Desa Karangan only relies on facilities and support from schools. This community service is carried out by lecturers and students of the State University of Malang in Desa Karangan, Kecamatan Badegan, Kabupaten Ponorogo. The creation of a reading corner aims to provide literacy facilities and form reading habits in order to increase reading interest as part of the literacy movement in Indonesia. The implementation of community activities begins with observation, then is carried out in stages, namely preparation, and evaluation. As an effort to establish reading in order to foster children's reading interest, assistance in reading activities is carried out in the reading corner of Desa Karangan, Kecamatan Badegan, Kabupaten Ponorogo. The result of this service is the growth of children's interest in reading in Desa Karangan, this can be seen from the high enthusiasm of the children during reading mentoring activities that are carried out every week. With this community service activity, it is hoped that it can foster children's interest in reading as an effort to activate the literacy movement in Indonesia.
