Abstract

Islamism is an ideology and a movement that seeks to build an Islamic order in the form of an Islamic state and the enforcement of sharia law. However, in Indonesia during the democratization period in the early 2000s, many Islamic organizations, including Islamic parties and Islamic movements, liberated themselves from hiding and even opened their organizational philosophies to accommodate wider issues and concerns. While retaining their Islamic identity, some Islamic groups are turning towards the secularization of their goals and objectives as a means of adapting to the changing political environment. Political analysts refer to this development as post-Islamism. This change in attitude is to some extent due to the fact that Islamic legal institutions have become more prominent since the reform era. While retaining their Islamic identity, Islamic groups are turning towards the secularization of their goals and objectives as a means of adapting to the new political environment and changing the agenda of most Islamic political movements by way of Islamizing Indonesian values. That's why the color of legislation in Indonesia is more Islamic.

Abstract

One of the identifiable resources that an industry can utilize as a driver for survival is managerial competence. Although literature is replete with evidence on this subject matter, no research work has been conducted on the relationship between managerial competence and performance of the traditional metal fabrication industries in Ghana. To address this information gap, this study explored the work place practices of three traditional metal craft industries in Kumasi, Ghana with managerial competence as a moderating factor. An inductive research approach based on qualitative research methodology was adopted. The target population was 300 people of which a sample size of 171 respondents was selected. Data were collected through the use of questionnaire designed with open and close-ended responses as well as personal observations conducted using a well-designed observation guide with clear attributes and angles of observation. The results showed that all the study participants interviewed exhibited various levels of operational competence of knowledge, technical skills, experience and character attitude needed to enhance the performance and day-to-day administration of their work. They also had good conflict resolution abilities and good decision-making skills, as well as an excellent apprenticeship system embodied in a succession plan. On the other hand, the study identified several factors that impacted negatively on the operations of their work including the inability to create a conducive work environment for high performance, poor equipment and tool maintenance culture, lack of proper PPEs, poor record keeping, poor innovation and creativity skills, and nonexistence of a system for the acquisition and utilization of modern equipment and technology. These limitations suggest lack of management competence. The study considers this as quite worrisome and recommends for the needed support from both governmental and NGOs, to safeguard the survival of the metal craft industry in Ghana.

Abstract

This study intends to analyze the learning media utilized for Islamic religious education in Indonesia during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study is a systematic literature review utilizing the Prisma methodology. Mendeley and Garuda article databases with limited articles published from 2020 to 2023 are utilized. Using the search terms "Islamic religious education, learning media, covid, pandemic", 53 articles were located. Utilizing field research and accepting only journal articles made it possible to include data. Consequently, only twenty articles were examined. The Phillips Marrying content analysis technique was used for data analysis. Coding data with the Atlas.ti application. The results of the study indicate that the types of learning media utilized during the pandemic are synchronous and asynchronous. Jitsi Meet, Google Meet, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams are examples of synchronous learning media. The asynchronous media utilized are learning management systems such as e-learning in educational institutions, Google Classroom, and Edmodo, as well as other supporting media such as Google Forms, Kahoot, Quizziz, Microsoft PowerPoint, YouTube, and videos. During a pandemic, there were several issues with the use of internet-based learning media, including inadequate devices, poor internet infrastructure, and the inability of students' parents to pay. The use of learning media for distance education must take several factors into account for learning to proceed smoothly.

Abstract

A Prophetic hadith states that the best of people were in my time, and then the time after that, and then the time after that. Of course, it is a question for Muslims or non-Muslims, why the Prophet stated it. The above statement can certainly be seen from the ethics and academic reasoning of the post-Prophet generation. Maturity in arguing and accepting criticism is seen in the legal opinion of Ulama, especially in scientific ethics when there are differences of opinion with mutual respect and respect and usually concluded with a sentence if it is right then it is my mazhab and if it is wrong please leave it.

Abstract

History proves that Islam spread throughout the archipelago when the Hindu-Buddhist kingdom was still in power due to the work of da'I, who were members of certain tariqas. The principle of tolerance of the adherents of thariqah succeeded in attracting the interest of the people of the archipelago to the teachings of Islam, and they converted to Islam. It is interesting to investigate the multicultural dimension of thariqah further so that it can be used to describe the teachings of tarekat concerning Islamic proselytization in a multicultural society. Therefore, this research aims to reveal the multicultural dimension in the teachings of the Haq NaqsyabandiThariqah. The research is conducted with a philosophical approach to the teachings of thariqah, which is critically described through historical data and the most important manuscripts of thariqah. The research shows that every sect of thariqah has a teaching of tolerance in a multicultural society.

Abstract

Almost all Christians believe that the satisfaction rendered by the death of Christ was in itself enough for the salvation of humanity. Yet, there is no consensus among Christians on the question of the beneficiaries of Christ’s atoning sacrifice. The question of whether Christ’s suffering and death benefited all humanity or only an elected few has triggered much debate among Christian scholars. The different responses to the question of the extent of the atonement can be categorized broadly into two, namely; particular atonement (that is, the view that Jesus Christ died only for the elect) and universal atonement (that is, the idea that Christ died for all persons). The significance of the debate and the rise in interest in this subject in recent times has prompted this literature-based research which critically reviews and analyzes publications (including books, journal articles, and dissertations) on the extent of Christ’s atonement to see how one might make meaning of the ongoing debate. The paper first presents a survey of the evidence adduced for both views; it then considers Calvin’s view on the subject and ends with the author’s position that the atonement is unlimited in scope in that the offer of salvation is for all people; yet it is limited in effect because only those who believe in Jesus are truly saved.
