Jurnal Ilmiah Sarasvati (SV) awalnya dibuat pada tahun 2019 dengan penerbit Fakultas Bahasa dan Sains Universitas Wijaya Kusuma Surabaya. Pada tahun yang sama terdaftar ISSN oleh LIPI dengan nomer ISSN 2685-6808 yang terbit secara cetak dan sudah direview oleh mitra bestari. Pada tahun yang sama dibangun pembuatan Sarasvati secara online atau Open Journal System (OJS). Seluruh pengelolaan baik penerimaan artikel sampai review artikel dilakukan secara online. Terbitnya jurnal setiap tahun dua kali dengan jumlah 9 artikel tiap kali terbitan. Sarasvati diterbitkan oleh Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian Masyarakat (LPPM). Jurnal Ilmiah Sarsavati (SV) merupakan terbitan ilmiah berkala yang memuat artikel berbahasa Indonesia hasil penelitian dan kajian bidang bahasa dan sastra, baik bahasa/sastra Indonesia, bahasa/sastra daerah, bahasa/sastra asing, maupun pengajaran bahasa/sastra Indonesia. Sarasvati terbit setahun dua kali. Naskah yang akan diterbitkan dalam Sarasvati hanya naskah yang belum pernah dipubikasikan atau dimuat dalam jurnal lain. Penulis yang akan menerbitkan artikelnya harap mengikuti pedoman penulisan yang berlaku pada Sarasvati. Seluruh pengelolaan baik penerimaan artikel sampai review artikel dilakukan secara online. Bahasa Utama : Penerimaan artikel dalam bahasa Indonesia sedangkan bahasa tambahan : Abstrak diharuskan ditulis dengan 2 bahasa, yaitu bahasa Indonesia dan Inggris

Abstract

Pada awalnya dekonstruksi merupakan teknik atau metode dalam membaca dan memahami teks. Dalam pembacaan secara dekonstruktif pembaca perlu menghadirkan unsur-unsur yang memungkinkan teks tersebut berbeda dari yang lain. Dalam dekonstruksi unsur-unsur yang semula terlupakan dan termarjinalkan seperti kelompok-kelompok minoritas, kelompok yang terpinggirkan, kawasan kumuh diberikan perhatian secara seimbang dan proporsional. Dalam tulisan ini dibahas tentang dekonstruksi dalam karya sastra. Karya sastra yang didekonstuksi adalah The Name Sake. Novel ini berupakan novel terjemahan karya Jhumpa Lahiri, pengarang dari India. Teori yang digunakan untuk membedah novel ini adalah teori Dekonstruksi Jacques Derrida. Ada dua hal yang dibahas dalam tulisan ini yakni upaya pengarang dalam menghadirkan oposisi-oposisi dan kelompok-kelompok termarjinalkan dalam teks. Oposisi-oposisi yang dihadirkan oleh pengarang dalam teks antara lain: (1) oposisi antara laki-laki dan perempuan, antara suami dan istri yang diwakili oleh kehadiran tokoh Ashoka dan Ashima. Ashoka digambarkan sebagai pusat dan Ashima sebagai pinggiran; (2) oposisi antara dunia Barat dan Timur. Dunia Timur diwakili oleh India yang tecermin dalam kehidupan keluarga Ashoka dan Ashima. Dunia Barat yang diwakili oleh Amerika menghadirkan tokoh-tokoh dari keluarga Amerika; (3) Oposisi ketiga adalah antara kesetiaan dan ketidaksetiaan. Kelompok-kelompok termarjinalkan yang diangkat oleh pengarang dalam teks antara lain kaum perempuan dan masyarakat India.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the increase in the ability to write exposition text using the mind mapping method in class X SMK Negeri 3 Berau. This research is classified into classroom action research (Clasroom Action Reaserch) which consists of two cycles. Each cycle is carried out in three stages, namely: (a) planning, (b) action / observation, (c) reflection. This research data uses descriptive qualitative data and quantitative data. Qualitative data were obtained from observation sheets and field note sheets in each action implementation and quantitative data were obtained from the final test of each cycle. The data collection techniques used were observation and exposition text writing test. The results showed that the application of the mind mapping method as a learning method was very effective in improving the ability to write exposition text of class X students of SMK Negeri 3 Berau. Based on the results of the assessment, both the process assessment and the assessment of the results of writing the exposition text, the application of the mind mapping method was declared successful. From the results of the assessment based on the set intervals, the students' skills in writing the exposition text got satisfactory results. All students studied got a score of 65 and above. Finally, it can be concluded that the mind mapping method can improve the ability to write exposition text for tenth grade students of SMK Negeri 3 Berau.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe scenarios of online learning carried out by teachers during the COVID-19 pandemic in instructional text learning, Difficulties experienced by students and teachers when carrying out instructional text learning in a pandemic, Students and teacher responses to online learning during a pandemic in instructional text learning, and differences in students' knowledge and skills in instructional text learning in online learning. The data collection technique in this study was through online interviews. The results of the online learning research of MI Muhammadiyah 2 Banyuwangi during the COVID-19 pandemic show that: (1) The online learning scenario that the teacher does during the COVID-19 pandemic is Distance Learning and continues to make learning plants that are arranged in a simple and concise manner. main things include pre-activity, core activity and post-activity. (2) The difficulties experienced by students and teachers when carrying out instructional text learning in a pandemic are 80% in the medium category and 20% in the low category. (3) The responses of students and teachers to online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic were 20% indicating a positive response, 40% indicating a neutral response and 40% indicating a negative response. So it can be concluded that students have different knowledge and skills in learning instructional texts in online learning.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the world of ronggeng in Ahmad Tohari's novel Ronggeng Dukuh Paruk in terms of Wolfgang Iser's Aesthetic Response theory. The source of research data is the novel Ronggeng Dukuh Paruk by Ahmad Tohari published in 2011 by PT. Gramedia Pustaka Utama. The data collection technique was done by reading notes, namely reading accompanied by careful and thorough recording of the whole novel related to the ronggeng repertoire. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. This technique is carried out through the steps 1) reading, 2) identification, 3) classification, 4) interpretation, and 5) inference. The results showed that 1) Through reading based on Iser's repertoire theory, the culture revealed in the Ronggeng Dukuh Paruk novel can be seen. The culture that was revealed was the culture of the Javanese people, especially the existence of the traditional ronggeng art; 2) Peronggengan in Java, traditionally cannot be separated from the initiation of "peronggengan" as a prerequisite for someone to become ronggeng; and 3) There is a pergowokan profession whose existence intersects with the world of ronggeng.  Keywords: repertoire, wolfgang iser, ronggeng dukuh paruk, gowok

Abstract

This research was conducted to improve the skills of writing descriptive texts through the mind map method of class VII-C students of SMP Muhammadiyah 9 Bojonegoro in the 2020/2021 school year. The type of research used in this research is Classroom Action Research (CAR), which means that this research is in the form of reflective research by taking certain actions in order to improve and / or improve learning practices in the classroom professionally. Therefore, CAR is expected to improve the quality of learning and be successful. The implementation of learning to write descriptive text using the mind map method can work well. This can be seen from the results of observing student activity in cycle I, as many as 14 students did learning activities very well, 7 students did learning activities well, 4 students did activities quite well, and 2 students did activities poorly, while in cycle II, as many as 14 students did learning activities very well, 9 students did learning activities well, 4 students did activities quite well. In cycle II, there were no students who did learning activities poorly so that there was an increase in learning activities for the better. In addition, the results of the observation of the value of students' attitudes in cycle I obtained data as many as 13 students who had very good attitudes, 7 students had good attitudes, 5 students had sufficient attitudes, and 2 students had less attitudes in following the learning process. This result is categorized as good, while in cycle II, as many as 13 students had a very good attitude, 11 students had a good attitude, and 3 students had sufficient attitudes in following the learning process and this result was categorized as very good because there was an increase from the previous cycle.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to describe the improvement of short story writing skills of students in class IX-8 SMP Negeri 6 Balikpapan through problem-based learning strategies. The research method used is Classroom Action Research, abbreviated as PTK or Classroom Action Research, a form of research that occurs in the classroom in the form of certain actions taken to improve the teaching and learning process in order to improve learning outcomes better than before. Increasing the score indicates that the implementation of actions in the cycle I and cycle II, were able to improve students' abilities in learning and practice of writing short stories. The application of problem-based learning strategies is also able to provide motivation and pleasure in the Indonesian language learning process, especially writing short stories. Students appear to be more active and more enthusiastic in participating in the short story writing learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the improvement of the learning process, the attitudes of students, and the results of learning to write poetry with POSTCARD MEDIA for students of class VIII Α SMP Angkasa. This research is a Classroom Action Research (PTK) with research subjects consisting of 22 students. This action research was conducted in two cycles, each of which contained four components, namely planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. Observation data were obtained through tests, observations, document analysis, interviews, and questionnaires. The data analysis technique used qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis techniques through descriptive statistical techniques. The results showed that the application of postcard media could improve students' poetry writing skills and motivation in learning to write poetry. The improvement of students' poetry writing skills can be seen from the quality of the process, positive attitudes, and learning outcomes of students during the learning activities to write poetry. The process improvement and positive attitudes of students in participating in learning activities are indicated by the activeness, interest, motivation, enthusiasm and seriousness of students who have increased in each cycle.

Abstract

Abstract Moral education is a core component in the world of education. Because humans need not only knowledge but also religious spiritual strength to form a complete human being (insan kamil) in accordance with Islamic norms. One of the ways is through high-quality literary works, namely the novel Light in the corner of the Heart by Alberthiene Endah. This study aims to determine: 1) The values of moral education in relation to God. 2) The values of moral education in relation to oneself. 3) The values of moral education in relation to others. This research is a descriptive qualitative type of research, while the data used is in the form of verbal data in the form of dialogue between characters, narratives, signs that describe moral education, and quotes that describe moral education. The data analysis used in this research is content analysis. The results of this study include three things. 1) There are three values of moral education in relation to God, namely: faith in God, obedience to worship and gratitude. 2) There are ten moral values in relation to oneself, namely: honesty, responsibility, healthy lifestyle, discipline, hard work, confidence, entrepreneurial spirit, creative, independent and curiosity. 3) There are three moral values in relation to others, namely: being aware of one's obligations and of others, appreciating achievements and being friendly.Keywords: values, moral education, novels

Abstract

This study aims to improve the ability to conclude the content of the news read through the technique of applying the online discussion method (in the network). The research method uses classroom action research (PTK). The research was carried out in the odd semester of the 2020/2021 school year for two cycles in October 2020 at Salman Al Farisi Junior High School, Bandung. Based on the findings and results of data analysis, it can be concluded that learning through the discussion method can improve students' ability to conclude news content. This is based on the following findings. Through the discussion method, students are more enthusiastic and enthusiastic in concluding the content of the news that is read. This can be observed based on the results of reflection activities in cycle I, from 25 students as many as 17 students stated that they were more enthusiastic about concluding news content using the discussion method, while in cycle II all students stated that they were more enthusiastic about concluding the content of the news using the discussion method.
