The aim of JIEMAR ( Journal of Industrial Engineering & Management Research is to publish theoretical and empirical articles that are aimed to contrast and extend existing theories, and build new theories that contribute to advance our understanding of phenomena related with industrial engineering and industrial management in organizations, from the perspectives of Production Planning/Scheduling/Inventory, Logistics/Supply Chain, Quality Management, Operations Management and Operational Research. The contributions can adopt confirmatory (quantitative) or explanatory (mainly qualitative) methodological approaches. Theoretical essays that enhance the building or extension of theoretical approaches are also welcome. JIEMAR selects the articles to be published with a double bind, peer review system, following the practices of good scholarly journals. JIEMAR is published monthly (on-line versions), following an open access policy. On-line publication allows to reduce publishing costs, and to make more agile the process of reviewing and edition. JIEMAR defends that open access publishing fosters the advance of scientific knowledge, making it available to everyone. Abstract

Technology at this time continues to develop. With the advancement of technology, developments in the military world will also develop rapidly. Projectiles are an important component in bullets and weapons. This research will discuss and analyze related to the production line and the process of making projectiles. The balance and speed of the production line in making projectiles will be prioritized here. This projectile production line already has a fairly balanced amount of cycle time. The average production process in the projectile making industry is 10 seconds with the first process, namely Annealing, taking 11 seconds, the second process, namely Cold Rolling, taking 9 seconds to make one projectile, the third process, namely lathe, requiring a fairly short time because the projectile itself does not really require a long lathe time, namely 9 seconds, then the 4th process, namely Machining, this process is actually similar to the lathe process but requires considerable accuracy and smoother results. This process takes 11 seconds to make projectiles. The last is the process of finishing this process is the last gate for all processes that have been run, this process takes 10 seconds. With this balanced line condition, it is necessary to make standards to maintain stability. One of them with WI or Work Instruction as a reference for production operators to carry out their work. With the condition of the production line that is already good, the only thing that needs to be done is to maintain the stability of the process. Work Instruction itself has been widely used by all industries to keep root employees working according to standards.

Abstract

Large countries generally have large defenses and militaries as well. In a study, it was shown that one of the indicators of the assessment that the country was considered great was its military strength and completeness. The average time it takes to make 1 sleeve is 10 seconds. However, in data collection, the lathe process takes a longer time than other processes, which is 19-20 seconds. With this condition, the production results from the previous station will accumulate and the next station will have a waiting time. This is called an unbalanced production line. With this condition, line balancing must be carried out so that production results are maximized. The improvements planned by the researchers to make the production line more balanced are by adding a lathe line. By adding a line lathe, the cycle time is balanced. Thus the production process can run well and smoothly.

Abstract

As the spearhead of the Indonesian Navy at sea, the Indonesian Warships (KRI) always hold an exercise both internally to the Indonesian Navy and with other countries. One of the exercises that are often carried out is to carry out sending and receiving flashlight code signal messages between ships in a convoy of warships at sea. Each communication division personnel has an important role in running the flashlight passcode communication system which is currently still done manually so that errors often occur in sending and receiving flashlight password signaling news or are less accurate and slow. In manning the current flashlight tool in the KRI requires 6 (six) personnel and because of its location on the outer deck of the ship with the condition that the distance between ships in a convoy formation at sea is very close during training so that it is very impacted by the dangers of deep high radiation. In the long run, the personnel will feel the effect. On the other hand, the use of flashlight password signals is still often used because this method has a better level of confidentiality when compared to electronic communication tools in the KRI which are easily intercepted by the enemy. From the explanation above, we can see that the speed, accuracy and confidentiality of the existing tools are not maximized, while in terms of security and comfort are still a problem for KRI personnel in manning the current tools. so scientific research is needed to obtain a solution. Therefore, the focus of this research is to implement an automatic flashlight code signal system between ships in a convoy of warships at sea with the design of the AFIS 1.0 (Automatic Flashlight Identification Signal) tool which is able to increase the speed, accuracy and confidentiality of the tool as well as security and comfort. for KRI personnel in manning the equipment.

Abstract

The condition of Indonesia, which consists of many islands, requires effective and efficient defense assets to safeguard sovereignty. With the development of technology, this can be achieved by operating unmanned aircraft. The Agency for the Assessment and Application of Technology (BPPT) has been able to make unmanned vehicle, which are named PUNA SRITI and PUNA MALE. The two BPPT products are defense research projects that are expected to be operated by the TNI in the future. To compare the effectiveness of the two PUNAs in military operations, a measurement of effectiveness (MoE) analysis was carried out.

Abstract

To deal with all potential threats originating from the development of the national, regional and global strategic environment, it is necessary to have a strategic target for national defense, namely the realization of the TNI's Minimum Essential Force (MEF). Indonesia, which is currently implementing a program to meet the minimum requirement for its military strength (MEF) and avoid dependence on producers and wants to reduce the spending budget of defense equipment manufacturers abroad, the Indonesian government has taken the initiative to empower domestic industry potentials to become producers of weapons. and the TNI war fleetThe SWOT method approach can be implemented by identifying various factors to formulate strategies. The analysis is based on logic that can maximize Strengths and Opportunities, but simultaneously minimize Weaknesses and Threats. The results of the SWOT analysis obtained 3 (three) priority strategies in implementing the empowerment of the National Defense Industry, namely increasing human resource capabilities, overcoming budget constraints and increasing technological capabilities by involving universities in conducting research on technology and implementing transfer of technology in every purchase of defense equipment from outside. A country that can all be implemented for the development of defense equipment independently.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the role of organizational citizenship behavior on the relationship of transformational leadership to the performance of SMEs. The research sample is SMEs employees with a total sample of 310 respondents in 30 SMEs. The sampling technique used is simple random sampling technique. The research instrument uses an online questionnaire and the analytical method uses Partial Least Square (PLS) with SmartPLS 3.0 software. The results show that transformational leadership has a positive and significant effect on Organizational Citizenship Behavior, transformational leadership has a positive and significant effect on employee performance and Organizational Citizenship Behavior has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, Organizational Citizenship Behavior mediates partially and positively and significantly the relationship between transformational leadership and employee performance. The implications of the results of this study indicate that transformational leadership is found to be the main factor in improving the performance of SMEs. Suggestions for research are the expansion of research orientation to a wider scope of industry and organization to obtain more comprehensive results.

Abstract

This study was conducted to calculate how much efficiency is produced in the installation of on-grid solar power plants in the Forestry Service of the Samarinda Regency Government and how the impact on reducing carbon gas emissions as an effort to maintain air quality in reducing the greenhouse effect. The research was conducted using a quantitative approach by collecting data in the form of the use of electronic equipment, the number of official vehicles used. Carbon footprint can be calculated in Building A and Building B. Cost Reduction calculation is carried out using PLN electricity usage bill data. The result of the Carbon Footprint calculation was obtained at 1234.41 Kg CO2. Meanwhile, the calculation of Fuel Emission by using a motorized vehicle in the form of a car is 960 Kg CO2. Cost Reduction of efficiency in saving electrical energy consumption by 17%.
