Abstract

Pangudi Luhur Domenico Savio Junior High School is a school with a diversity of student backgrounds, from the point of view of religion, ethnicity, socio-economy, and gender / gender. This article aims to Know the process of internalizing multicultural values in students through social studies learning SMP Pangudi Luhur Domenico Savio. The results of this study found that The process of internalizing multicultural values has been carried out by the teacher, the values that are often applied by the teacher are the values of Democratization, Humanism, and Pluralism. which are inserted through various things, namely: (a) Social studies learning materials are formed based on facts and real examples in the field. (b) The learning model used is inquiry discussion with the aim that students better understand the material and can adapt to the surrounding environment. (c) The assessment system used by the teacher is not only in terms of cognitive, affective, and psychomotor, but the assessment also takes into account the opinions of other students regarding the personalities of the students concerned as evaluation materials for the future.

Abstract

SMP Negeri 39 Semarang is one of the inclusion schools in the city of Semarang. For its existence, it must be supported by curriculum development and learning, including in character education. Inclusion schools are considered to be the right means of implementing character education because of the mixing process between children with special needs and regular children in the same class. The implementation of character education can be done through learning, one of which is through social studies learning. The role of IPS is considered to be able to implement character values ​​for students so that students are able to adapt to the environment with several good characters from themselves. The purpose of this study is (1) To explain the implementation of character education in SMP Negeri 39 Semarang. (2) Carry out the implementation of character education into social studies learning in the inclusion class of SMP Negeri 39 Semarang. (3) Inhibiting and driving factors in implementing character education in social studies learning in the inclusion class of SMP Negeri 39 Semarang. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques using observation, interviews and, documentation. The location of this research is SMP Negeri 39 Semarang. The subjects of this study were school principals, curriculum staff, social studies teachers in inclusive classes and students. The validity test of this data uses triangulation of sources and techniques or methods. The analysis technique used is the stage of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results of this study indicate that SMP Negeri 39 Semarang implements character education into all activities in the school. (1) The implementation of character education in this school is carried out through learning activities, familiarization activities or school culture and self-development activities. (2) The implementation of character education into social studies learning in the inclusive class is carried out through the planning, implementation and evaluation stages which are all integrated with character education. (3) There are driving factors in the implementation of character education including supporting facilities and infrastructure, supporting school programs, and human resources who take part in implementing character values. The inhibiting factor is the existence of the corona pandemic virus, the lack of integration of character education at school and at home, the lack of parties who supervise the behavior and character of students.

Abstract

Region potential-based learning is reflected goverment regulations in the 2013 curriculum, where students must be able to link knowledge with all aspects of life. This study used qualitative research methods. Data collections tecniques throught observation interviews, and documentation. Data sources were obtained from primary and secondary data sources. The validity test in the study used triangulation and data analysis techniques consisted of data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the learning implementation plan as a result of the covid-19 pandemic. In implementating the learning proces the teacher use the social studies package book and the Menganti Beach tourism booklet as a social science learning resources. The focus of the material in this research is natural resources and maritime materials. The output of the learning is the from of a summary of the material potential of natural and maritime resources. The obstacles found were the lack of learning resources, limited learning media and internet networks.

Abstract

The learning result which is not significant yet, and students who still experience handicaps and difficulties in understanding the material especially in ASEAN material. Researchers provide learning media for animated video and kahoot! in social stcience learning. This research uses quantitative method, while the research design in quasi experimental with non-equivalent control roup design. The result of this research shows that animation video and kahoot! are effective being implemented . this can be proven by seeing the effectiveness indicators such as (1) the teacher high capability to manage the classroom indicated by the score of 73 in the experimental group and 66 in the control group, (2) the teaching and learning activity which shows high activness with the score of 92,86 in the experimental group and 62,50 in the control group, (3) the increase of the learning result score of experimental group from 46,6 to 84,4 while the control group score of experimental group from 46,0 to 78,6, (4) the high responses of students towards the teaching learning activity with the experimental group score 75 and control group score 68,7.

Abstract

In the global era, it requires world education to always adjust and follow technological development to improve the quality of education, especially are used of varied and creative models and media for education, especially in the learning process. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the snowball throwing learning model with rolling ball game media on online-based students learning motivation in social education at the class of VIII SMP N 33 Semarang. The method used in this research is quantitative. The results of this study are (1) The learning implementation uses the snowball throwing learning model and the rolling ball game media at SMP N 33 Semarang. (2) The use of the snowball throwing learning model and the rolling ball game media can have an influence on student learning motivation in social studies learning. (3) There are obstacles, namely the available hardware such as cellphones or laptops and unstable internet networks during learning activities.

Abstract

Education that is able to produce good citizens is education that is able to develop student potential, so that they are able to face the life problems they face. The use of learning resources and learning methods that are less varied and monotonous can cause boredom in students because they are not directly involved in the teaching and learning process, as a result the learning material is not fully accepted by students, in carrying out the objectives of social studies there are still some obstacles in school, namely less active students in receiving social studies learning, as well as not optimally utilized models or media and lack of adequate facilities and infrastructure. The problems above can be overcome by the need for teacher creativity in the use of learning methods, models and resources to support the learning process. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of social studies learning using the class VII F rotating wheel of SMP Islam Manba'ul Ulum Jepara.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the school's efforts in building student democratic attitudes through OSIS at SMP Negeri 22 Semarang. The results showed that schools made an effort to provide an understanding of political education. The OSIS management has implemented the understanding of political education provided by the school and can be seen through its activities. The implementation of understanding political education in building democratic attitudes is still not optimal. The active participation of the OSIS management includes; (1) decision making, (2) implementation, (3) taking benefits, (4) evaluation, and (5) social attitudes. Meanwhile, the results of the analysis of the role of political education in building student democratic attitudes show that coaching seeks to build the awareness of the student council officials, motivation plays a role in problem-solving, and evaluation plays a role in knowing the shortcomings of the student council administrators.

Abstract

The results showed that (1) the social studies teacher at SMPN 1 Sukorejo and SMPN 2 Sukorejo used the discovery learning model, while the social studies teacher at SMPN 3 Sukorejo used a varied lecture learning model, (2) the teacher implemented it according to the analyzed learning model, and in the implementation process there are obstacles experienced by teachers and students, (3) the teacher reflects on the learning model by looking at the activeness of students and the results of test scores. Then the teacher made improvements to the social studies learning model by discussing among teachers, using the peer tutor model, utilizing technology, and book references from various sources.

Abstract

The aim of the research of this study was to determine the pedagogical competence of social studies teachers and student learning activeness in the social studies learning process and social studies teacher schools through online learning at SMP N 2 Cepiring Kendal. The results showed that the social studies teacher at SMP N 2 Cepiring Kendal has an important role in student learning activeness by continuing to implement the pedagogical components of the teacher that they must have, including the ability to master student material, the ability to master learning theory, the ability to develop curriculum theory, master potential abilities. learners, and take advantage of information and communication technology. The activeness of students in the learning process can be seen from the ability of students to capture learning material which can be seen from various things such as listening, discussing, and expressing opinions during the teaching and learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the barriers of IPS teachers in distance learning (PJJ) in Gebog District, Kudus Regency. The results of the analysis show that the covid-19 pandemic makes learning in Gebog District, Kudus Regency done with distance learning (PJJ). IPS teacher barriers in distance learning (PJJ) include; (1) differences in geographical location, (2) limitations of learning infrastructure, (3) passive learners, (4) learning assessment, (5) large learning quota, (6) teacher professional ability. And efforts in overcoming distance learning barriers (PJJ) include; (1) the policy of each school, (2) assignment of work directly (3) provision of study motivation and school visit, (4) grant of study quota from the government, (5) direct collection of duties, (6) increasing the professional ability of teachers in the use of technology and communication.
