Abstract

This study presents a novel application of the Multi-Criteria Decision-Making (MCDM) Weighted Sum Model (WSM) technique to assist students in selecting suitable university housing options. We identified five key criteria—location, affordability, amenities, room type, and social environment—based on a survey of prospective students' preferences. Using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), we calculated the weights for each criterion, reflecting the priorities of the surveyed students. We then applied the MCDM-WSM methodology to rank the housing options by calculating the weighted scores for each criterion. Our findings reveal a ranked list of university housing options that can guide students in making well-informed decisions based on their needs and preferences. The study demonstrates the significance of using advanced decision-making techniques in transforming complex decision-making processes into more structured, transparent, and reliable approaches. Furthermore, it highlights potential research gaps and future research directions to enhance the quality of choices and cater to the diverse needs of students in selecting university housing.

Abstract

This study aims to find marketing campaigns that match the interests of the online audience at the Universitas Terbuka (UT) as an Open and Distance Learning (ODL) institution in Indonesia. Keyword research is used as a research method with the help of the keyword everywhere tool to get insights from keywords. Universitas Terbuka has high internet searches, indicating a high level of audience interest. Area and academic themes became the highest audience interest in the June-August range. Universitas Terbuka can create and schedule content based on keyword research findings. This research provides insight into a practical marketing plan that can be made based on keyword research so that it is effective and in the interests of the audience on the internet.

Abstract

One of the problems that exist in operations research is the problem of transportation. This study proposes the completion of the optimal solution in the transportation problem using the Modified Method of the Sirisha Viola method. The method proposed hereinafter is called the Sirisha Viola Modified Method . The algorithm in this method is the same as in the Sirisha Viola method but differs in the allocation step, where the allocation is made to the minimum demand first, then compared with the corresponding supply value. The data used in this study consisted of secondary data and simulated data (random data). The results of numerical calculations or using the help of the Python program for secondary data obtained an optimal solution of 12,100 cost units. Whereas for random data consisting of 4 0 balanced data and 40 unbalanced data with sizes 10 x 10, 13 x 17, 25 x 27, and 50 x 50 the optimal solution results are obtained. It is concluded that the Sirisha Viol a Modification Method in solving transportation problems can produce optimal solutions directly without the need to determine the initial feasible solution.

Abstract

The concept of bibliotherapy draws upon various academic fields, such as medicine, literary criticism, librarianship, and psychology, to promote the use of reading as a therapeutic tool. This study aimed to explore the extent to which medical library workers are aware of and utilize bibliotherapy. Using a descriptive survey design, the study employed Slovin's formula and simple random sampling to select 24 respondents from a population of 45 medical library workers. The findings revealed that the medical library workers had a good understanding of bibliotherapy. Therefore, it is recommended that they should be equipped with the necessary skills to provide bibliotherapy services, and given the opportunity to practice it.
