Abstract

Data security is important in the implementation of information technology, especially in the field of computers, which allows thousands of people and computers around the world to be connected in a virtual world known as cyberspace or the internet. This can create new challenges and demands for the availability of a data security system that is as sophisticated as the advances in computer technology itself. In cryptography, data sent over the network will be disguised in such a way that even if the data can be read by third parties, it should not be understood by unauthorized parties. Data to be sent and has not been encrypted which produces ChipperTtext. The implementation of the transposition algorithm for securing data flowing in the Local Area Network (LAN), the transposition process changes the arrangement of letters from the source text (plaintext), with a column transposition cipher, to obtain the words in a barred manner. In the transposition cipher, the plaintext is the same, but the sequence is changed. . This algorithm transposes a series of characters in the text. Another name for this method is permutation because transpose each character in the text is the same as permutating the characters so that this application generates encrypted data on the network stream and returns it to plaintext at the final destination. So that it can be ensured that the information and data sent to other parties are safe from unauthorized parties.

Abstract

Class imbalance has become an ongoing problem in the field of Machine Learning and Classification. The group of data classes that are less known as the minority group, the other data class group is called the majority group (majority). In essence real data, data that is mined directly from the database is unbalanced. This condition makes it difficult for the classification method to perform generalization functions in the machine learning process. Almost all classification algorithms such as Naive Bayes, Decision Tree, K-Nearest Neighbor and others show very poor performance when working on data with highly unbalanced classes. The classification methods mentioned above are not equipped with the ability to deal with class imbalance problems. Many data processing methods are often used in cases of data imbalance, in this case research will be carried out using the Spider2 method. In this study, the Ecoli dataset was used, while for this study, 5 (five) different Ecoli datasets were used for each dataset for the level of data imbalance. After testing datasets with different levels of Inbalancing Ratio (IR), starting from the smallest 1.86 to 15.80, the results that explain that the KNN algorithm can improve its performance even better in terms of unbalanced data classification by adding the SPIDER- method 2 as a tool in dataset processing. In the 5 trials, the performance of the KNN algorithm can increase GM by 5.81% and FM 14.47% by adding the SPIDER-2 method to KNN.

Abstract

This study presents a novel application of the Multi-Criteria Decision-Making (MCDM) Weighted Sum Model (WSM) technique to assist students in selecting suitable university housing options. We identified five key criteria—location, affordability, amenities, room type, and social environment—based on a survey of prospective students' preferences. Using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), we calculated the weights for each criterion, reflecting the priorities of the surveyed students. We then applied the MCDM-WSM methodology to rank the housing options by calculating the weighted scores for each criterion. Our findings reveal a ranked list of university housing options that can guide students in making well-informed decisions based on their needs and preferences. The study demonstrates the significance of using advanced decision-making techniques in transforming complex decision-making processes into more structured, transparent, and reliable approaches. Furthermore, it highlights potential research gaps and future research directions to enhance the quality of choices and cater to the diverse needs of students in selecting university housing.

Abstract

A lot of waste is generated from students' activities while at school. A simple effort that can be made to minimize waste at school is to recycle inorganic waste. Students need to be given training on waste management. In this community service program, the training participants were 36 class VII students of Muhammadiyah Middle School, Dumai City. The method of service activities uses lecture, discussion and practice methods. The activity steps are a lecture to explain the study of waste, types and sources of waste, waste management using the 3R principle (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle), then continued with questions and answers, demonstrations and practices for recycling inorganic waste (bottles, cans and cardboard) into useful product. This training program can increase female students' awareness, especially regarding waste recycling, so that in the long term it is hoped that it can minimize waste and improve the skills of Muhammadiyah Middle School students in making ecobrick-based creativity

Abstract

The dish soap-making training conducted for the women of PKK RT 06 in Kelurahan Jaya Mukti, Kecamatan Dumai Timur, aimed to enhance their skills and knowledge in the creative economy sector. The activity involved 40 participants and included both theoretical and practical sessions, where participants were taught about ingredients, the soap-making process, and safety and hygiene techniques. The training results showed significant improvements in participants' knowledge and skills. Before the training, most participants lacked basic knowledge of dish soap-making. After the training, they were able to independently produce high-quality soap. This training also strengthened the camaraderie and cooperation among PKK members. However, participants faced challenges in sourcing raw materials. To address this, future training should focus on practical solutions such as providing information on affordable raw material sources and marketing strategies. The sustainability of this training is crucial, with government and stakeholder support needed to help participants develop their dish soap businesses sustainably. This training demonstrates that with the right methods and high motivation, the community can develop new skills beneficial for improving family economies.

Abstract

The jangek cracker business is a community business that is still rarely carried out by the people of Dumai city. This business often experiences a decline in productivity because it experiences low profits or even no profits at all and only reaches the break even point. The rarity of this business stems from problems in determining the cost price incorrectly, thus determining the selling price too low. In accordance with the problems experienced by partners, the research team offers a solution by providing skills through training on how to prepare the cost of production and calculate the cost of production systematically and precisely. The expected goal is to create increased knowledge and skills in systematically preparing the cost of production so that it is appropriate to determine the selling price.

Abstract

The high number of Partial Listed Companies (PDS) manipulating the number of employees, wages, and programs to avoid paying high social security contributions highlights companies' non-compliance with BPJS Ketenagakerjaan. Only 2.93% of workers in Indonesia were registered with BPJS Ketenagakerjaan in 2021, indicating low compliance among companies in participating in health and occupational safety assurance programs. The aim of this study is to describe the criminal risks faced by PDS in the BPJS Ketenagakerjaan program to highlight the sanctions against non-compliance in implementing social security programs. This research uses a qualitative approach with literature studies and normative juridical methods based on Law No. 14 of 2011 on the Social Security Administrative Body (BPJS). The results of the study show that PDS is an unlawful act due to non-compliance with the obligation to pay BPJS contributions. The types of PDS commonly carried out by companies include PDS of employees, PDS of wages, and PDS of programs. Criminal liability for PDS includes administrative sanctions, such as two written warnings within a maximum period of 30 days, administrative fines of 0.1% of total contributions, and restrictions on accessing certain public services (TMP2T), such as difficulties in obtaining business permits, participating in project tenders, hiring foreign workers, and obtaining building permits (IMB).

Abstract

Companies are required to register their employees with BPJS Ketenagakerjaan to provide social protection mandated by Law Number 24 of 2011. However, many companies fail to comply, prompting the government to impose administrative and criminal sanctions to enhance compliance. This study aims to analyze criminal provisions for companies not registered with BPJS Ketenagakerjaan and their impact on worker protection. Using a normative juridical research method, this study evaluates the effectiveness of Article 55 of the BPJS Law. The findings reveal that companies may face imprisonment of up to 8 years or fines up to IDR 1 billion. However, the implementation of these sanctions is hindered by vague norms, particularly in defining violation criteria and delayed payment durations. This legal uncertainty affects the effectiveness of worker protection. Therefore, regulatory improvements are necessary to enhance legal certainty and the effectiveness of sanction enforcement.

Abstract

This study examines the enforcement of legal sanctions against perpetrators of BPJS Employment contribution embezzlement, which undermines workers' rights and the stability of the social security system. The research employs normative juridical methods with a legislative approach, supported by secondary data from court decisions, books, and regulations. Findings indicate that the embezzlement of BPJS Employment contributions, regulated under Articles 374 and 64 of the Indonesian Penal Code, clearly constitutes a legal violation. Legal sanctions under Article 55 of Law Number 24 of 2011 prescribe a maximum penalty of 8 years imprisonment or a fine of IDR 1 billion. However, enforcement faces challenges, such as weak supervision and low legal awareness among offenders. This study recommends improving supervision mechanisms, imposing stricter sanctions, and providing legal education to employers.

Abstract

BPJS Ketenagakerjaan is a mandatory social security program for companies and workers in Indonesia. This obligation is regulated by law to protect workers from risks such as workplace accidents, death, and retirement. However, many companies still fail to fulfill this obligation. Such non-compliance can lead to legal consequences, including administrative and criminal sanctions. On the other hand, workers become vulnerable to various risks without social security protection. This article examines the legal aspects governing company obligations, implications for workers, and potential sanctions faced. This study aims to provide a deeper understanding of the importance of compliance with BPJS Ketenagakerjaan registration. Raising awareness and enforcing the law are necessary to ensure fair protection for all stakeholders.
