Aksara merupakan jurnal yang diterbitkan oleh Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia, Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan, Universitas Batanghari dan Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian Masyarakat Universitas Batanghari. Jurnal ini merupakan jurnal penelitian yang mempublikasikan artikel hasil penelitian asli, studi kepustakaan, dan tulisan terkait dengan fokus pada kajian Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia, kajian bahasa dan kajian sastra. Semua artikel ditinjau oleh 4 orang reviewer, 2 orang reviewer internal dan 2 orang reviewer eksternal. Jurnal ini diterbitkan dua kali dalam satu tahun setiap bulan April dan bulan September, jurnal aksara ini dapat diakses pembaca, jurnal aksara ini berisi hasil penelitian pustaka maupun hasil penelitian lapangan. Jurnal ini meliputi beberapa ranah Ilmu sebagai berikut: 1. Kajian Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia meliputi bidang pembelajaran keterampilan berbahasa, pembelajaran linguistik, pembelajaran semantik, pembelajaran pragmatik, pembelajaran wacana, pembelajaran sosiolinguistik, pembelajaran psikolinguistik serta pembelajaran puisi, pembelajaran prosa, pembelajaran fiksi, pembelajaran drama. 2. Kajian Bahasa Indonesia meliputi: fonologi, morfologi, sintaksis, analisis wacana, semantik, pragmatik, sosiolinguistik, psikolinguistik, bahasa dan budaya, dialektologi, dokumentasi bahasa, serta bidang keilmuan lain yang berkaitan dengan kajian kebahasaan. 3. Kajian Sastra Indonesia meliputi: sastra lisan dan sastra modern berupa kajian puisi, prosa fiksi dan drama.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe students ability in writing realist short story at students class IX A SMP Negeri 9 Kota Jambi Academic Year 2016/2017. The type of this research is qualitative descriptive. The data of this research is primary and secondary data. The primary data is taken directly, from students exercise in writing realist short story while secondary data is taken from some sources in Batanghari University library and province library. The data is collected by using observation, interview, exercise, and documentation. From the analysis, it shows that there are 5 students fall into very good criteria (interval up to 80), there are 21 students fall into good criteria (interval 70-79), there are 11 students fall into fair criteria (interval 60-69),and there is 1 student falls into below average (interval up to 59). So, it can be concluded that students ability in wiritng realist short story fall into good criteria with interval 70.Kata Kunci:pop song, realist short story, students

Abstract

Indonesian language learning is still applied with teacher centered learning in which the students face difficulty in asking questions. The students tend to be lazy to do their homework if they do not understand their materials. The lack of motivation and activities cause minimum of their assessment. This research is aimed at identifying the influence of story telling technique in increasing students learning outcome in Indonesian language course in nursery study program STIKes Syedza Saintika Padang. Based on the problem, the story telling technique is expected to increase students activities and their learning outcome. This research is classroom actions research and the subject of the research is 25 people of the first semester students of nursery study program STIKes Syedza Saintika Padang. The data is collected by using observation shheets and result tests. The technique of analyzing the data is descriptive and supported by the analysis of students learning outcome. This research is divided into 2 cycles and each of the cycles consist of 3 meetings. The result shows that cycle I mean is 65,55 and cycle II is 88,96. This shows that there is an increase of students acitivities. Moreover, it can be concluded that Indonesian language can be taught by using story telling technique in order to increase their activities and learning outcomes.Key Words: improving, speaking ability, story telling technique

Abstract

This research is aimed at describing the use of semiotic in Ketika Jarum Jam Leleh dan Lelah Berdetak anthology by Dimas Arika Mihardja. This research identifies the signs of meaning and interpretations towards hermeneutics approach. This research is descriptive qualitative. The population of the research is the verses in Ketika Jarum Jam Leleh dan Lelah Berdetak anthology by Dimas Arika Mihardja. In collecting the data, purposive sampling is used. The primary data is taken from verbal data in a form of words in Ketika Jarum Jam Leleh dan Lelah Berdetak anthology by Dimas Arika Mihardja, while secondary data is taken from semiotic theory and some literary books. Based on the result and discussion, it can be concluded that there are signs in Ketika Jarum Jam Leleh dan Lelah Berdetak by Dimas Arika Mihardja, they are Penikmat kehidupan anthology, they are; human being who lives in this world. Human being who are full of story, human being who wants to live happily by having the freedom whithout thinking about the consequences are ended up being despicable. Being despicable with what they have done is useless that leads them to feel regret.Key Words: semiotic, hermeneutic, anthology

Abstract

This research is aimed at describing the meaning and total meaning of referential meaning that is used in educational rubric in the newspaper Jambi EkspresMarch edition 2017. This research is qualitatve descriptive. The function of this method is to simplify and to solve things with empiric evidence. The subject of this research is education rubric which is taken randomly by using simple random sampling. The data is collected by using libarary study and documentation technique. The data is analyzed by using steps, they are data reduction, data serving, data triangulation, and conclusion. The result of the analysis shows that there 14 quotes of referential meaning in the education rubric in Jambi Ekspresnewspaper March 2017 edition. .Key Words: referential meaning, education rubric, jambi ekspress

Abstract

This research is intended to describe the aspect of grateful between human and God (Hablumminallah) which is found in the novel Bidadari Bermata Bening by Habiburrahman El Shirazy. This research is qualitative descriptive. It is used to describe the aspect of grateful of God’s grace in the novel Bidadari Bermata Bening karya by Habiburrahman El Shirazy.Basen on the analysis, it can be seen that there some aspects found, they are: there are 36 quotes of the aspect of grateful of Allah’s blessing. This thing represents how human learns to be grateful with what God has given in their life. Based on the analysis, it can also be concluded that the novel Bidadari Bermata Beningby Habiburrahman El Shirazy contains the religious value which is related with human relationship with God (Hablumminallah) from the perspective of God’s grace to human being. Abstract

This research is intended to decribe imagery that is found in Poetry Anthology Di Hadapan Rahasia by Adimas Immanuel. The method of this research is descriptive by using content analysis. The sourec of the data is pramary and secondary data. In this research, the primary data is taken from the sequence of beutiful words that have a meaning and visual imagery in their every linein Poetry Anthology in Di Hadapan Rahasia by Adimas Immanuel. The secondary data is taken from books and literature. Based on the result of the research, it can be concluded that there are 30 imagery in the poetry written by Adimas Immanuel. The types of the imagery is follows: (1) 4 visual imagery. Thus, imagery is one of the way that can be used in identifying a poetry.Key words: imagery,poetryi,poetry anthology
