Jurnal Optimasi Teknik Industri JOTI is a scientific periodical journal that publishes research, technical, and conceptual papers as well as case study reports. Article manuscripts are published after going through a thorough peer-review process. The first edition of JOTI was published in 2019. The publication is managed by Industrial Engineering Program of Indraprasta PGRI University, Jakarta, Indonesia. This journal is focused on the trends of optimalisation applied in industrial engineering aspect. Jurnal Optimasi Teknik Industri (JOTI) focuses the optimization aspects of industrial engineering. Abstract

CV. RB  which  is  the  object  of  this  research  is  a  manufacturing  company  producing  wood-based  doll houses. The purpose of this study is to evaluate waste and provide recommendations for improving the production  process  so  that  it  can  improve  the  efficiency  of  production  time  on  the  CV.  RB.  The  lean production system gives a good change to the company. In solving the problems that are being faced, the analysis carried out in this study is the analysis of NVA and NVAN using fishbone diagram data analysis techniques in this study in terms of NVA and NVAN. In the process of assembling the pattern there are 27 worker activities, starting from the ground floor assembly to the left to the installation of tile on the right. based on the VA, NVA and NVAN classification in the sanding process, it can be seen that there are 30 wastes in the NVA classification with a percentage of time of 19.2%, there are 18 wastes in the NVAN classification with a percentage time of 0.6%. Based on observations on the production floor there is a waste  of  time  in  the  process  of  assembling  the  pattern.  This  is  caused  by  several  factors,  namely: material,  human,  environment  and  machinery.  Some  waste  of  production  time  is  a  pattern  assembly process that results in long activities. waste contained in this assembly part is motion and waiting.

Abstract

Powder metallurgy is a technology in processing metal powders which includes changing shape, characteristics and the structure became the final metal products. Water Atomization methode is the best option on metal powders production because the most economical and effective. On the large-scale industry, setting the characteristics was important in determining the quality of the powder to the next process. In this reseach performed a series of experiments to produce aluminum powder using water atomization method with variation of the nozzle’s angle 3o, 5o, 10o and 15o. The goal is to find out the influence of the nozzle’s angle and the water pressure sprayer against characteristics of the powder. From the macro structure’s test results showed an average of most grains of pollen produced by the water atomization method is irregular-shaped with porosity that is almost found in pollen in each size. Porosity more found in larger sizes. Observation of microstructure found that the change in composition is relatively small, with declining proportion of Al because Al oxidized by O2 when atomization process while Si proportion was increasing. Nozzle’s angle at 150 give the best powder characteristics with highest percentage of good quality powder and also the highest aspect ratio which means approaching round shape.Keywords: Water Atomization, Powder Metallurgy, Metal Powders, Characteristics of Aluminum powder

Abstract

A company organization needs to know the level of productivity where the company operates, in comparison with the productivity standards set by management. Productivity measurement using the OMAX method is a combination of several measures of productivity criteria that have been weighted according to the degree of importance of each size. The results of the calculation of the overall productivity value for 12 (twelve) months are as follows 57, 123, 57, 55, 130, 45, 112, 140, 140, 152, 118 and 145. The results of the calculation of the ratio of less value contribute to the increase production line productivity and needs to be improved because it shows sub-standard performance, namely ratio 1, 2, and 5. The value of ratios 3, 4 and 6 shows the ratio values that tend to be good. Based on the results of this study, the measurement of productivity using the OMAX method is very systematic and effective because it is built from critical factors in the company (productivity criteria) by prioritizing improvements in the value of ratios that have below standard values, and maintain good ratio values.Keywords: productivity, measurement, objective matrix (omax), ratio.

Abstract

The opportunity for processing food (Bakso) is so large, the intense competition between players in seizing customers requires that the customers can improve the quality of their products based on customer perceptions. This study aims to improve the quality of meatball products based on the Kano model method. The method used in this study uses the Kano method or model combined with eight dimensions of TQM quality or Garvin 1987 dimensions for the goods category. The results showed that there were six attributes belonging to the Must-be category, five attributes belonging to the One-dimensional category, three attributes belonging to the Attractive category and 16 attributes belonging to the Inddiffrent category. The quality improvement priorities that must be made in order to increase customer satisfaction are found in the One-dimensional category of B12, B14, B17, B21 and Attractive Attributes on Attributes B1, B2 and B19.Key words : Customer Satisfaction, Canoe Model, Dimensions of quality (TQM)

Abstract

In the current of globalization, the development of industry in the word both in manufacturing and servis sector has undergone change and development. Each company and competed to win the competition and market share. In achieving it’s vision and mision, the company continues to servucess improve theproduction and quality managenement controlling and improving the quality to word the target 3,4 failures per million opportinities (DPMO) for each transaction of good and services. Six Sigma is a method or thechnique of controlling and dramatic quality improvement is a new breaktrough in the fieldof quality management. By using the Six Sigma method, it can be seen that the quality of white glazed ceramics produced by PT HSI in 2017 was at the level of 2.35 Sigma with a defect rate of 198345 for a million production (DPMO). Through the DMAIC method, the value of Six Sigma increased to 2.55 Sigma with a damage rate of 147749 defects for a million production. Through the Six Sigma approach in this study crawling defects can be improved from 7.30% to 3.55%.Keyword: Quality, Ceramic, Six Sigma, DMAIC, and Crawling

Abstract

Failure Soldering characteristic on die casting makes it’s should be had high wear ability erosion and also released from white layer embrittlement on nitriding process. Both of shot peening and nitriding are kind of process which can increasing surface strength characterization in structural or mechanical components and also as an affricative way to prevent soldering. This research has spesific purpose how to learn affected morphology of layer, surface, and hardness on H13 modification after shot peening & nitriding. In this case research, H13 tool steel will be compared with superior which each part of material has 5 combination surface treatment and 2 kind of holding time of nitriding. Then dipped into the molten of ADC12 Aluminum at temperature 680oC and held for 30 second, 5 minutes and 30 minutes. Characterizations on the surface of the steel were focused on the microstructure, microhardness profile, surface roughness, and weight loss of the H13 tool steel. Result found that H13 modification show hardness until 1415,9 HV compare with only shot peening treatment. This research result showed that best resistance to soldering to create from combination shot peening before and after nitriding.Keywords: Process Design, Knowledge Management, Innovation Strategy
