The articles published have gone through the review process of the reviewers, which are related to communication science. The articles that are published can also be in the form of scientific ideas, theoretical and conceptual studies, as well as practical applications from both academics or practitioners in the field of communication. Abstract

This research analyzes the influence of interpersonal communication and the use of information technology on the performance of employees in the community and village empowerment service in Rejang Lebong Regency. Using quantitative methods and data from 40 respondents, the results of multiple linear regression analysis show that interpersonal communication has a negative influence on employee performance. Meanwhile, the use of information technology has a positive effect. These results indicate that increasing interpersonal communication and the use of information technology contributes to improving employee performance at DPMD. However, it should be noted that these results need to be considered in a broader context by considering other factors that influence employee performance. It is hoped that this research can contribute to improving employee performance in an organization.

Abstract

Media sosial sebagai bentuk dari inovasi teknologi internet memberikan banyak perubahan positif dalam hal manusia bersosialisasi dan berkomunikasi. Salah satu perubahan yang terjadi adalah cara marketing modern dengan menggunakan sosial media, atau biasa disebut dengan social media marketing. Vindes merupakan salah satu pelaku usaha yang memanfaatkan inovasi teknologi internet untuk menjangkau potensi pasar yang lebih luas dengan biaya yang relatif kecil jika dibandingkan dengan marketing konvensional. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh social media marketing akun Instagram @vindes.store terhadap kesadaran merek Vindes. Pendekatan pada penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif kausal. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa S1 prodi Ilmu Komunikasi Universitas Negeri Jakarta Angkatan 2019 dengan jumlah 81 orang. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis regresi linear sederhana dengan nilai F 49.148 dengan signifikansi 0.000 < 0,05 yang menggambarkan bahwa variabel X (social media marketing) memiliki pengaruh terhadap variabel Y (kesadaran merek).

Abstract

The article discusses the "traditional wife" community, a group of women or wives who prioritize life values based on the social norms of women's roles in 1959. These norms position women in domestic spaces, dedicating themselves to the functionality of a family while placing the husband as the breadwinner. This article seeks to explore why, in an era where everything is measured by materialistic values, there has emerged a community of women who do not prioritize material achievements but instead choose to maximize their roles in more private domestic spaces. The article is written using an interpretative qualitative research method through literature studies, Instagram observations, website reviews, and interviews with academics specializing in women's and gender issues, as well as interviews with Indonesian women who have lived in Canada for more than five years. It also presents several facts related to the "traditional wife" phenomenon, which is viewed positively in some aspects. However, its negative side is considered a promotion of racial issues that favor white supremacy.

Abstract

Much has changed since the COVID-19 pandemic, especially in the field of education. Many educational institutions have turned to alternative learning methods since the pandemic was triggered by quarantine and social constraints. Using online or online media is one of the methods of controlling the COVID-19 pandemic. It's about distance education, which is used to keep social distances and stop the spread of the virus. Every method of education, whether online or offline, has its advantages and disadvantages. The aim of this study is to find out how students create discourse about how effective online learning and luring on Kumparan.com during the COVID-19 pandemic. Data is analyzed using qualitative methods. In this study, Theo Van Leeuwen used discourse analysis, which looked at the text from the point of view of how attachments consisted of text or news. This investigation found that Kumparan.com's content used exclusion and inclusion strategies.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the implementation of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program conducted by PT. Amplify in Depok City. In this context, PT. Amplify focuses on a Corporate Philanthropy program designed to create a positive impact on the surrounding community, particularly vulnerable groups in Sukmajaya District. Through a straightforward yet effective approach, the company strives to understand the environmental conditions and community needs by directly engaging with the local population and observing the challenges they face. This study is expected to provide deeper insights into the role of CSR in enhancing the company's relationship with the community and its impact on overall corporate success. Through this analysis, it is hoped that PT. Amplify can continue to improve its CSR programs and deliver greater benefits to the communities around its operational areas.

Abstract

This study health communication related to stunting prevention in the Districts and Cities of West Java Province, where the prevalence of stunting reaches around 20.2%, approaching the WHO target of below 20%. Qualitative research methods were used to explore the efforts of the People's Welfare Bureau in reducing stunting rates. The findings show that the People's Welfare Bureau of West Java Province shows a strong commitment with positive support from districts and cities, as well as effective coordination between provincial and regional governments. The strategic approach through educational campaigns aims to increase awareness of balanced nutrition and child health care. This campaign utilizes mass media, social media, and community activities to expand the reach of information, motivate the community, and encourage active participation. Overall, the health communication campaign plays a crucial role in changing community behavior and preventing stunting sustainably.

Abstract

Generasi Z, yang tumbuh dalam era digital, menghadirkan perubahan signifikan dalam pola konsumsi yang memengaruhi strategi bisnis di masa depan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi karakteristik, preferensi, dan tantangan yang dihadapi pelaku industri dalam memahami perilaku Generasi Z sebagai konsumen. Dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode kajian literatur, studi ini mengintegrasikan berbagai temuan dari penelitian terdahulu terkait perilaku konsumsi Generasi Z. Fokus utama terletak pada peran teknologi, nilai keberlanjutan, serta pentingnya autentisitas dalam keputusan pembelian mereka. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa Generasi Z cenderung memilih merek yang mendukung nilai-nilai personal, memanfaatkan media digital sebagai medium utama untuk informasi dan interaksi, serta lebih mengutamakan pengalaman daripada produk fisik. Temuan ini memberikan wawasan strategis bagi pelaku bisnis dalam merancang pendekatan pemasaran yang relevan dan menawarkan rekomendasi untuk menjawab tantangan yang muncul dalam memenuhi kebutuhan konsumen masa depan.

Abstract

Dedi Mulyadi recorded history as being elected Governor of West Java by winning the highest number of votes. Based on the West Java KPU recapitulation meeting, the pair Dedi Mulyadi – Erwan were determined to win with 14,130,192 votes or 62 percent. Dedi Mulyadi's victory was inseparable from the cultural communication style he used either during the campaign or long before the campaign started. This paper will elaborate on Dedi Mulyadi's communication style with the Sundanese cultural background that he applied to create Special West Java. By using qualitative research methods with a literature study approach and in-depth interviews, this paper concludes that Dedi Mulyadi has succeeded in winning the sympathy of the West Java public in the 2024 West Java gubernatorial election by applying a unique, friendly and down-to-earth Sundanese cultural communication style.
