Abstract

The Innovation of website by local governments can actually be used to improve public services and encouragecommunity participation in development.This study aims to analyze and explain (1) the performance ofe-government, (2) participation in infrastructure development, and (3) the influence of the performanceof e-government toward public participation in infrastructure development in Sidoarjo. The method usedis explanatory approach with a sample of 233 respondents as the users of the local government of Sidoarjo.Analyzing technique used is multiple regression and path analysis. The results showed that the performanceof e-government in Sidoarjo district that includes ease of use, usefulness, web interface, a complementaryrelationship, as well as public services is categorized as good at 68.81%. Public participation in infrastructuredevelopment is regarded as medium category, which is 57.12%. The most dominant community participationis information search, supervision; discussion or public consultation; partnership in the provision of funds,energy, and thought. The performance of e-government significantly influences the participation. Gender alsodirectly affects community participation and indirectly affects participation through the use of e-government.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze and explain the Ayah ASI in online media twitter and explained Ayah ASI in social semiotic perspective. Qualitative research, describes the situation or discourse about exclusive breastfeeding by the Ayah ASI. The method used is the MAK Halliday's social semiotic analysis that includes the text, the context of the situation (field of discourse, tenor of discourse, mode of discourse) and registers. The results of this study show that Communities Ayah ASI in his twitter @ID_AyahASI build knowledge to fathers and Indonesian mothers who still adhered to the old paradigm about things related to breastfeeding mothers who proves a lack of understanding and support dad. The father and mother who still believe the myths that inhibit the release of breast milk, do not have an understanding of the function of the hormone oxytocin for stimulation and lactation very clearly proves that knowledge or understanding of a mother and her husband support the most important factor in the success of breastfeeding. Ayah ASI twitter account with a non-formal language as well as a brief change views of mothers and fathers about the importance of breastfeeding to infants.

Abstract

Istilah penggusuran bagi masyarakat yang termarginalkan di perkotaan memiliki efek psikologis yang sangat mengerikan ketimbang bencana. Sebagai subjek pembangunan semestinya mereka tidak lagi menjadi korbanan. Ia me¬miliki hak asasi untuk mendapatkan penghidupan yang layak, perlakuan adil di mata hukum, kebutuhan harmonis sebagai manusia. Tetapi fakta ber¬bicara lain. Abstract

is a form of ritual that still exists among the coastal community which is full of elements of intercultural communication. This study aims to analyze communication in the ritual in and Villages, Sidoarjo Regency. This qualitative research uses the communication ethnographic approach presented by . Data collection was carried out with participant observation and in-depth ethnographic interviews with nine informants. The sampling technique uses sampling. After being collected, the data were analyzed by SPEAKING analysis from . The results showed that the rite is a communication made by the fishing community as a form of gratitude to Allah SWT who has provided an abundance of sustenance. Second, the offerings in the ceremony are symbols that have the meaning of a blessing in life and success at work. Third, is a form of local wisdom manifested in cooperation, giving, environmental preservation, and hospitality.

Abstract

Government program of exclusive breastfeeding in the last few years shows failure. In the district of Sidoarjo, for example, the level of community participation in exclusive breastfeeding is still relatively low at about 22.8 percent of the announced target of 80 percent. It is interesting to study, therefore this study is aimed to investigate the use of midwives communication strategies to increase the participation of mothers in the exclusive breastfeeding program work in the health center (Puskesmas)in Jabon Sidoarjo. This qualitative descriptive study used snowball sampling techniques with in-depth interviews to key informants and respondents of thirty breastfeeding mothers in Jabon subdistrict of Sidoarjo. The results of this study are that the most dominant communication strategies used by midwives is two-way communication (face to face) with persuasion techniques and methods of redundancy. Midwives barriers consist of internal and external barriers. The internal resistance is reluctance to breastfeed for fear of the breasts are not beautiful anymore, people's understanding on the issue of healthy infants are assessed from the fat physical appearance, and that only a little milk that comes out. While the external resistance is that the babies are not satisfied with only breast milk, reason for working mothers, and the thought of the family, especially the parents, that formula milk is better. The participation rate of breastfeeding mothers is still in the third level, namely level of consultation.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze and explain the use of social media among teenagers, the development of interpersonal relationships, and the influence of social media on the development of adolescent interpersonal relationships in Sidoarjo. This research, which involves a hundred high school students as the respondents, uses explanative approach. Through random sampling of data collection, the data were analyzed using descriptive statistics analyzing techniques and multiple regression. The results showed that the use of social networking sites by teenagers is much motivatedly aimed to 1 ) obtain a variety of information, 2 ) strengthen relationships among users of the site , 3 ) release tension, 4 ) meet emotional needs , and 5 ) improve self-confidence. The development of relationship made by teenagers is dominantly aimed to search identity information, ideas or thoughts, as well as the address of the user account. The level of development of interpersonal relationships ( friendships ) through social networking is at 68.7 %. The use of social networking sites which affect the development of adolescent interpersonal relationships in Sidoarjo is at 43.4 % .

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine how much effectiveness programa laporo rek suara kota radio as media communication participatory community on development in the probolinggo city. This type of research used an explanatory research with quantitative approach. Samples are taken a number of 100 respondents to the listeners of Radio Suara Probolinggo city of precision was set 5% of the population of 285 people. The results of research indicated that the data were analyzed quantitatively with the support of frequency tables were simple and data tabulation by using SPSS 17 application. The results in this research used path analysis. It showed that overall amount of influence in directly or indirectly effect on the willingness variable (X1) obtained amounted of 0.78 or 78%, opportunity variables (X2) amounted of 0.273 and ability variable (X3) amounted of 0,016. This indicated that the willingness, opportunity and ability had influenced and increased community participation in the development of mediated programa Laporo Rek.

Abstract

Science is essentially neutral. The neutrality of science depends on man. Ontologically and axiologically, it is man who determines and gives judgments about good and bad. Einstein says that science without religion is blind, and religion without knowledge is paralyzed. For that, in the axiological side, science must make a more useful contribution to human life. This paper explain how axiology as one of the main pillars of philosophy reveals issues of value, ethics, morals, and aesthetics.

Abstract

The purpose of this study explained socialization was conducted by electoral commission Sidoarjo Regency and media that is used by the community and its influence on behavior of beginning voters. The basic concept of this research used theory of voter behavior and socialization of psychological aspects as well as theory of media usage. Data collection was done by distributing questionnaires to 99 beginner voter respondents as well as interviews with regional commissioners. Data analysis was performed multiple linear regression analysis and description. The results showed that the socialization conducted by electoral commission Sidoarjo Regency Sidoarjo was optimal. Media used for socialization included television, social media (internet), radio, billboards, print media (newspapers and magazines), and workshops / seminars / working meetings. Newbie voters in 2014 presidential elections indicated behavior to participate in presidential elections. The use of communication media and socialization of presidential candidates and vice presidential candidates had an influence on the behavior of novice voters. The influence of these two variables on the beginner behavior is shown by R coefficient of 27.1%. While, the most influential factor on behavior is the media used by novice voters to obtain information, knowledge, and understanding of the presidential candidate.
