Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine how much the level of self-confidence of students in participating in extracurricular futsal activities at Madrasah Muallimin Yogyakarta. This research is quantitative descriptive research. The data collection technique used in this research uses instruments in the form of (questionnaires). The population in this study were students who participated in extracurricular futsal activities at Madrasah Muallimin Yogyakarta, totalling 20 people . The sampling technique in this study was total sampling or involved the entire sample. The data analysis technique in this study used descriptive presentation data analysis techniques. The results showed that the level of self-confidence of students in participating in extracurricular futsal activities at Madrasah Muallimin Yogyakarta in the "very low" category was 5.00% (1 student), "low" was 30.00% (6 students), "sufficient" was 30.00% (6 students), "high" was 30.00% (6 students), and "very high" was 5.00% (1 student). Thus it can be concluded that the level of self-confidence of students in participating in futsal extracurricular activities at Madrasah Muallimin Yogyakarta is quite high.

Abstract

Basketball is a two-team sports model of five players each to score by putting the ball into the opponent's hoop and blocking the opponent from scoring. A player should be proficient in mastering basic techniques, one of which is shooting which is the most commonly used technique because the goal is to put the ball into the opponent's ring through shooting. The focus of this study was to determine the effect of variations in shooting training on shooting skills in extracurricular basketball participants in grade X of high school in Malang. The research design used is pre-experimental design included in One Group Pretest-Posttest Design.The sampling technique in this study is a non-probability sampling technique of purposive sampling type, therefore a sample of 23 participants was obtained. The data analysis used are descriptive analysis techniques, normality tests, homogeneity tests, and hypothesis tests. The results of this research analysis using paired sample t-test analysis with STO basket per minute (shooting test) test showed a significant value (2-tailed) of 0.000 so this study concludes that there is an influence of shooting drill training variations on shooting skills in class X basketball extracurricular participants at the Senior High School level in Malang City.

Abstract

This study examines gender dynamics in the context of Sundanese culture among female Persib Bandung supporters. Data was collected through in-depth interviews (direct, personal, and unstructured interviews) with 134 respondents. Based on the research results, the characteristics of female supporters are very diverse. The age of female supporters consists of under 17 years old 27%, 17-30 years old 43%, and over 30 years old 30%. The length of time supporting the favorite club starts from 1 year down 17%, 2-5 years 38%, 6-10 years 23%, and those above 10 years 22%. In addition, the decision to support soccer is motivated by various reasons such as purely from within, influence from parents and friends, and stress relief. Based on this research, there are gender stereotypes still felt by female supporters in supporting their favorite team. In addition, women are generally not associated with supporting soccer.

Abstract

Strength training has been applied with various methods for young athletes around the world, but there is little analysis that reveals research trends related to strength training in young athletes. This study bibliometrically analyzed articles from 2008 to 2023 related to the keywords strength training, resistance training, youth, and athlete. The analysis was conducted to reveal patterns of research development, articles and leading authors, journals, institutions and countries. Visualization was done using VOS viewer. The findings provide insights for the scientific field of coaching and sports talent development, especially researchers and readers to identify the development of research on strength training in young athletes as well as identify potential areas of current research. The United Kingdom was the most productive country with 49 publications and 735 citations related to strength training in youth athletes.

Abstract

This study aims to determine 1. Rope Jump training can increase leg power in volleyball athletes, 2. Hurdle Jump training can increase leg power in volleyball athletes, 3. The effectiveness of Hurdle Jump training compared to Rope Jump training to increase leg power in volleyball athletes. The research method used is the experimental method. The research sample was 32 Viking Bajatara volleyball club athletes. The sampling technique is total sampling. The data processing technique is based on a hypothesis that is tested by parametric statistics using the t-test to determine which experimental class has a higher average. The calculation results obtained a value of ????0 or ????ℎ???????????????????? of 2.77 and a value of ???????????????????????? of 1.69 with a significance level of 5%. the results of the study showed that training with the Hurdle Jump method was more effective than the Rope Jump training method. Based on data analysis, it can be concluded that 1. The Rope Jump training method can improve the jumping results of Viking Bajatara volleyball athletes, 2. The Hurdle Jump training method can improve the jumping results of Viking Bajatara volleyball athletes, 3. The Hurdle Jump training method is more effective than the Rope Jump training method in improving the jumping results of Viking Bajatara volleyball athletes.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine (1) the relationship between hand eye coordination (X1) with medium shoot (Y), (2) the relationship between arm muscle strength (X2) and medium shoot (Y), (3) hand eye coordination relationship (X1), arm muscle strength (X2) together with medium shoot (Y). This research is a correlational quantitative research. The population of this study was basketball extracurricular students of MTSN 16 Jakarta. This research sample collection technique is purposive sampling a total of 10 people. The research instruments used were (1) hand eye coordination using the Wall bounce test instrument, (2) arm muscle strength using push-ups, (3) shooting test with medium shoot.. The hypothesis testing technique carried out in this study uses simple correlation statistical analysis techniques followed by t-tests at a significant level. The results of the first test showed a significant relationship between hand eye coordination (X1) with medium shoot (Y) with linear line equation Ŷ = 13.452 + 0.797 X1, correlation coefficient ry1 = 0.860 and determination coefficient (ry1²) = 0.739 which means that the variable of hand eye coordination contributes to medium shootby 73.9%. Secondly, there is a significant relationship between arm muscle strength (X2) and medium shoot (Y) with the linear line equation Ŷ = 46.362 + 0.942X2 correlation coefficient ry₂ = 0.873 and determination coefficient (ry₂²) = 0.762 which means that the variable arm muscle strength contributes to medium shoot 76.2%.Third, there is a significant relationship between hand eye coordination (X1), arm muscle strength (X2), together with medium shoot (Y) with the linear line equation Ŷ = = 44.592 + -0.027X1 + 1.121X2.  correlation coefficient ry₁-₂ = 0.900 and determination coefficient (Ry₁.₂)² = 0.81 which means that the variables of hand eye coordination and arm muscle strength contribute to medium shoot by 81%.

Abstract

Basketball is a team sport that has 10 players in one team, with basic movements, especially shooting. Shooting in handball is a form of attack aimed at producing points and weapons to win a match. This study aims to determine the level of physical condition and basic techniques of students at SMP N 6 Yogyakarta in extracurricular men's basketball. The research subjects were 10 men's basketball extracurricular students at SMP N 6 Yogyakarta. The method used in this research is quantitative descriptive using survey methods. Based on the results of research on the level of physical condition and basic techniques of students at SMP N 6 Yogyakarta, namely the level of physical condition of men's basketball extracurricular students at SMP N 6 Yogyakarta in the very good category was 1 student (10%), good was 1 student (10%), fair as many as 5 students (50%), less than 2 students (20%), very less as 1 student (10%) then, the level of basic technical ability of men's basketball extracurricular students at SMP N 6 Yogyakarta in the very good category was 0 students ( 0%), good as many as 4 students (40%), fair as many as 5 students (50%), poor as many as 0 students (0%), very poor as many as 1 student (10%). The above results can be interpreted as saying that the level of physical condition of the men's basketball extracurricular students at SMP N 6 Yogyakarta is mostly in the adequate category, then the level of basic technical ability of the men's basketball extracurricular students at SMP N 6 Yogyakarta is mostly in the adequate category.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of success in providing continuous running and interval training methods to adolescent athletes in Balikpapan, especially in athletics, as well as to determine the load and portion of training that is appropriate to the athlete's age limit, and find out what the percentage of success is. The training methods that will be used are the continuous running method and interval training methods, including (long slow/recovery, medium, high, interval principles, intensive and extensive). The research method used is quantitative with descriptive statistical techniques. The research population was male youth athletes aged 15 to 16 years in Balikpapan, East Kalimantan. This sample was determined based on purposive sampling. The data collection technique uses test instruments consisting of a 400 m test and a balke test. The technical analysis of research data uses descriptive statistical techniques during 6 months of practice. The author uses a paired sample test with a decision basis if Sig. (2-tailed) 0.05 then there is a significant difference and conversely if Sig, (2-tailed) 0.05 then there is no significance. It is known that the Sig value. (2-tailed) is 0.022 0.05 so the author can conclude that there is a difference between before and after being given speed and endurance training, and can also be seen from the percentage data before treatment of 75% and after treatment of 86%. Conclusion Continuous run and interval training methods are very effective in increasing endurance and are important supports in improving athlete performance.
