Abstract

Indonesian democracy from every period of government will continue to experience development towards maturity. In the life of the state, corruption cannot be separated. The role of political institutions and democratic maturity is very large in eradicating corruption, collusion and nepotism. This study uses secondary data, with used the Indonesian Democracy Index (IDI) and the Anti-Corruption Perspectives Index (Indeks Persepsi Anti-Korupsi/IPEK) which is sourced from the Indonesian Central Statistics Agency. Data processing using multiple linear regression statistical analysis. The Indonesian Democracy Index consists of variables of the role of the DPRD, the role of political parties, the role of the local government bureaucracy and the role of an independent judiciary. It was found that the role of DPRD has a significant positive effect on IPAK, the role of political parties has a significant negative effect on IPAK, the role of local government bureaucracy is significant positive and the role of an independent court is not significantly negative for IPAK. It is hoped that to improve the social community that is aware on anti-corruption, it is necessary to increase the role of the DPRD and the role of the local government bureaucracy in accordance with their duties and functions in the government together to eradicate corruption and form a new culture oriented towards the prevention and eradication of corruption.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of price and promotion on car purchasing decisions at PT Encar Daihatsu, Lubuklinggau City. The population in this study was 138 and the sample was 58 respondents. The data analysis method used is the regression test, correlation coefficient test, t test, determination coefficient test, and F test. Price results (X1) on Purchase Decisions (Y) have a significant effect with tcount of 5.074> t-table value of 1.673 significant 0.000 < 0.05. Promotion Results (X2) on Purchase Decisions (Y) have a significant effect with the tcount of 4.499> the ttable value of 1.673 significant 0.000 <0.05. Price (X1) and Promotion (X2) on Purchase Decision (Y) have a significant effect with the value of Fcount (27.461)> Ftable (3.18) significant 0.000 <0.05. The conclusion is that Price and Promotion have partial or simultaneous effect on Car Purchase Decisions at PT Encar Daihatsu, Lubuklinggau City.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of work discipline and employee performance and the influence of motivation on the relationship between work discipline and employee performance. Work discipline is an attitude that is indispensable for everyone to improve performance in order to achieve organizational goals. Motivation leads to disciplinary attitudes, high motivation for work discipline can affect employee performance. This study uses simple regression analysis and interaction test or Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) The population in this study includes employees at the Inspectorate Office of Musi Rawas Regency. The sample of this study amounted to 68 employees, selected using a saturated sampling method. The data collection technique used a questionnaire. The results of this study indicate that work discipline has a significant effect on employee performance (Y), as evidenced by the value t_count for the Work Discipline variable (X_1) is greater than the t-table value. This indicates a significant influence between Work Discipline (X_1) on Employee Performance (Y) at the Inspectorate Office of Musi Rawas Regency. So it can be said that the hypothesis is accepted. The next result is that the motivation variable is a moderating moderating variable in the relationship between work discipline and employee performance. Motivation as a moderation variable affects the relationship between Work Discipline (X_1) and Employee Performance (Y). So, Motivation (X_2) as a Moderation variable has an effect on the relationship of Work Discipline (X_1) and Employee Performance (Y) at the Inspectorate Office of Musi Rawas Regency. Thus it can be concluded that the hypothesis is accepted. So it can be said that the Motivation variable (X_2) as a Moderation variable affects the relationship between the Work Discipline variable (X_1) on Employee Performance (Y). Motivation as a moderation variable has an influence on the relationship between work discipline and employee performance. So, giving motivation to employees is important so that giving motivation should be further improved at the Inspectorate Office of Musi Rawas Regency so that employee performance can increase even more.

Abstract

This paper definitely attempts to intermingle them with regard to structural analysis. It adopted the theory of Gerard Genette,  the analysis of the famous novel  Great Expectations  by Charles Dickens, the main discussion concerns order and duration whereas frequency is ruled out. Consequently, order can be presented by two different narrative techniques; through the profound analysis of analepsis and prolepsis to show the chronological and anachronological order of the novel. A further analysis of the novel also includes the alternation of the four narrative movements of duration which are divided into techniques of deceleration; descriptive pause and scene whereas techniques of accelerations; ellipsis and summary. The diagrams and tables of the study aim to reach semi-statistical deduction for the chronological techniques of anachronism and its effect on the structure of the narrative time of the novel as whole, which gives a general idea about the system of the time in novel.

Abstract

CISG and arbitration are connected with each other. They may work through a combined or parallel procedure. Globalization of trade desires uniformity in trade. For uniformity of trade, we require uniform law. The arbitration may not work to make it uniform, but choosing any uniform law (i.e. CISG), it may lead to deal a particular arbitration in the international standard. The international standard may be maintained while considering the uniform law. Choosing uniform law (i.e. CISG), it may minimize the risk of wrong interpretation and put the arbitral parties on “equal footing”. Parties may consider CISG as the applicable law in their arbitral agreements. As of 13 February 2021, 94 states signed the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods 1980 (CISG). The frontline trading states like the USA, Australia, Israel, Canada, China, Germany, France, Russia, and Japan are contracting states of CISG. This research emphasizes providing guidelines as to how parties may apply CISG into their arbitral agreements by maintaining the international standard.
