Abstract

This scientific article provides physicochemical studies where the addition of a gel polymer has a positive effect on the process of structure formation. The presence of chemical bonds between the components, a change in the morphology of the structure, a decrease in microporosity, an increase in the density and thermal stability of the urea composition are shown. Polymer composite materials are used as chemically resistant coatings, polymer mortars and polymer concretes. Along with such valuable properties as incombustibility, colorlessness, good miscibility with water, etc., urea resins and compositions based on them have a number of disadvantages. The object of the study is a carbamide composition with a quartz filler and an addition of a gel polymer, its structure formation and chemical resistance. The methodological basis of the study is the polystructural theory of composite building materials (CBM) and the modeling of the study of the chemical resistance of the urea composition in aggressive conditions. The issues of finding effective water-binding additives and studying their effect on structure formation, properties and technology of urea compositions remain relevant and require additional research. It is shown that with the optimal content of the gel-polymer additive in the composition of 0.13% of the filler weight, the compressive strength and specific impact strength increase by 17; 13% and shrinkage is reduced by 7%. It was found that due to the enhancement of the adhesive bond between the components and the improvement of the pore structure under the action of the gel-polymer additive, the chemical resistance of the urea composition with quartz filler increases. So, water, acid and alkali resistance are 0.75; 0.80 and 0.85 and which, respectively, are 6, 7 and 7 points higher than the reference composition.

Abstract

This research paper argues that common growth figures are not a assure of high profitability. This observed that a number of functions of the marketplace position of companies and their owners-managers have a poor effect on profitability and boom fees, and the extent of profitability stays above the average for a very brief time. The efficiency of small companies is enormously dependent on approach preference, whilst turnover increase is specifically depending on strategy.

Abstract

This study aims to determine changes in public sector accounting from cash basis to accrual basis and which one is better than the two bases. This study uses a qualitative method through literature study that combines a number of reliable data sources such as journals, books, articles, legislation, research results and those relevant to the problem being studied, where 12 of the 42 articles were selected and published between the 2013-2018 period. . The change in cash basis reform towards accruals consists of 3 phases, namely the pre-autonomy era, the transition era and the post-regional autonomy era. Of the two bases, the accrual basis is better because the accrual basis produces more transparent accounting reports for the sake of realizing good governance.

Abstract

Alternative Learning System (ALS) has been adopted in Philippine basic education, yet there is no academic institution in the region prepares ALS teachers in teaching life skills. ALS teachers graduated from different programs of teacher education for formal education. In response, an extension project was conceptualized and implemented to enhance the teaching capacity and effectiveness of ALS teachers. Case study was conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of the project. It explored the transfer of life skills among ALS teachers. Data were collected from multiple sources. Interview and written responses, and feedbacks were analyzed using thematic narrative analysis. Other data were analyzed using document and descriptive analyses. The project had achieved its objectives and rated best by participants. These indicate that the project was implemented effectively and successfully. ALS teachers have acquired life skills and transferred them to others. Thus, the project has made a difference in the lives of these teachers.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of local taxes, general allocation funds and special allocation funds on the capital expenditure of the South Sumatra Province government for the 2010-2019 period. The data used in this study are primary and secondary. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. This study prove that the general allocation funds have a positive effect on the capital expenditure of the South Sumatra provincial government. While, local taxes and special allocation funds are not proven to have a positive effect on the capital expenditure of the South Sumatra provincial government. Furthermore, the test results of the coefficient of determination (R2) obtained a value of 0,773. This shows that the amount of the contribution of the tax variables, general allocation funds and special allocation funds can explain the capital expenditure of 77,30% the remaining is influenced by other variables included in this study.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze partially and simultaneously the effect of accounting information systems and internal control systems on the quality of financial reports at PT. Semen Baturaja (Persero) Tbk. The data used came from observation and questionnaires to 60 respondents. This research method uses a quantitative approach using multiple linear regression. The results of the study partially show that both accounting information and internal control system variables have a significant positive effect on the quality of financial statements. The results of the study using the coefficient of determination (R2) obtained a value of 0.464. This shows that the large contribution of the accounting information system and internal control system variables can explain the quality of financial statements by 46.4%, the remaining 53.6% can be explained by other variables not included in this study.

Abstract

The research was undertaken to access the impact of Non-Government organizations (NGOs) on poverty reduction in Makurdi local government area of Benue State. Using descriptive approach to analyze the primary data obtained from the respondents through a structured questionnaires and semi-structured interview administered to the staff and officials of selected NGOs in the study area. Result shows that the respondents confirm benefits in terms of increased income, use of good transportation means, good accommodation, feeding and sleeping materials. Despite these benefits, there were challenges confronting the NGOs in the study area. One of the biggest challenges was finance to execute all their programmes as well as disburse to beneficiaries as loans and grants. The activities of NGOs were found only limited to Makurdi while the majority of the people were residing outside the state capital. Therefore, recommendations made include: awareness creation for more participation by people in entrepreneurship and financial independence since it is only through such skills that they can propel themselves out of poverty and the NGOs should seek for more sources of funding including soliciting financial support from the international community to enable it fund diversified economic activities of the vulnerable people in the country.

Abstract

In the 4.0 context, machines gradually replace humans in most fields. The job market becomes depleted in inverse proportion to the abundant human resources. With hundreds of thousands of people unemployed each year, the rate of competition for job vacancies increases accordingly. Countless impacts decline the performance rating, causing fatal flaws that lead to a poor impression on the employers. Employers will receive countless Curriculum Vitals (CVs) to choose from for a job vacancy. How to surpass the competition and catch the eye of employers? This survey was conducted to discover and analyze the difficulties of applying for a job besides participating in a job interview in Ho Chi Minh City. Besides, the author wants to provide a comprehensive insight into recruitment and human resources in this city. A total of 125 candidates were selected from different professions in Ho Chi Minh City to collect information for this survey. Information collected from the questionnaires consisting of 11 small questions was coded and analyzed quantitatively. The final analysis pointed out the objective and subjective factors affecting the application process. In addition, the psychological abnormality affecting the ability to communicate in answering of the interviewers' questions was an outstanding result in the survey. Due to these factors, most of the candidates were rejected from job vacancies. Employers in Ho Chi Minh City consider human resources with a lot of working experience and relationships as an advantage. The goal of this survey that aims to aid candidates in awareness of their problems enhances the success rate in conquering employers.
