The journal publishes writings on (1) historiography, (2) philosophy of history, (3) history of education, and (4) history educaiton. Historiography means the writing of history based on the critical examination of sources, the selection of particular details from the authentic materials in those sources, and the synthesis of those details into a narrative that stands the test of critical examination. Historiography studies cover chronologically various themes, such as local history, social history, cultural history, economic history, political history, military history, intellectual history, environmental history, and other historical studies. Philosophy of history, the study either of the historical process and its development or of the methods used by historians to understand their material. History of education is a study of the past that focuses on educational issues. These include education systems, institutions, theories, themes and other related phenomena in the past. History education includes studies of how history teaches in school or society, curriculum, educational values in events, figures, and historical heritage, media and sources of historical learning, history teachers, and studies of textbooks.

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) describe the general condition of Kebumen around the proclamation of Indonesian independence; (2) describe the biography of KH Somalangu; (3) describe the role of KH Somalangu in the Movement of the Muslims of 1945-1950 in KebumenThis study uses literature review method. Data collection is done by collecting written sources that can be found in books, journals, thesis and the internet. The steps in this study are heuristics, source criticism or verification, interpretation, and historiography.The results of this study are: (1) Kebumen which is included in the residency of Kedu with the livelihood of the population is farming and the majority are Muslim; (2) KH Somalangu had the birth name of Syeikh As_Sayid Mahfudz Al-Hasani or Syeikh Mahfudz Abdurrahman who was born in Kebumen on November 9, 1901; (3) The role of KH Somalangu is divided into three periods, namely AUI during Military Aggression 1, AUI during Military Aggression 2, and AUI during rebellion.

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) describe the condition of the Kebumen region during the independence era; (2) describe the process of Sidobunder War in Kebumen in 1947; (3) describe the impact of the Sidobunder War in Kebumen 1947. This study uses literature review method. Data collection in this study was carried out by collecting written sources such an books, journal, thesis and internet related with a theme discussed by the author. The steps in this study is heuristics, source critism or verification, interpretation and historiography.The results of this study are: (1) Kebumen which is included in the residency of Kedu with the livelihood of the population is farming; (2) Sidobunder War is a war that occurs between student soldiers and the Dutch that means to defend independence; (3) Sidobunder War impact on student soldiers, the Dutch, and the unity of the Republic of Indonesia

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe purpose of this study is to find out: (1) The Role of Public Kitchens during Dutch Military Aggression II (2) Factors of organizing Public Kitchens during Dutch Military Aggression II (3) Constraints in the implementation of Public Kitchens during Dutch Military Aggression II (4) The impact of the implementation of Public Kitchens during Dutch Military Aggression II. The method used in this study is qualitative research method. This research has two types of data and data sources, namely primary data, data obtained through direct interviews and secondary data, data in the form of journals and books. Data collection techniques by conducting live observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques are used by data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The techniques of checking the validity of the data used are source trianggulation techniques and theoretical trianggulation. The results of this study show that: (1) The role of the Common Kitchen to meet the food of soldiers and civillian, the headquarters of military, emergency hospital. (2) The organizing factor of the Public Kitchen is due to the scarcity of foodstuffs due to aggression and the number of refugees. (3) The constraints of the implementation of the Public Kitchen are the scarcity of foodstuffs and the presence of Dutch spies. (4) The impact of the implementation of the Public Kitchen is that logistics needs are met, there is a sense of security in the civilian, and the establishment of village security agency. Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) Mendkripsikan sejarah dibangunnya kawasan Kotabaru di Yogyakarta. (2) Menjelaskan fungsi kawasan pemukiman Eropa di Kotabaru selama tahun 1917-1945. (3) Memberikan gambaran dampak sosial pembangunan kawasan pemukiman Eropa bagi masyarakat Yogyakarta.            Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kajian literatur. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakkan dengan cara mengumplkan sumber tertulis seperti buku, jurnal, skripsi dan internet yang berhubungan dengan tema yang dibahas oleh penulis. Adapun langkah-langkah dalam penelitian ini yaitu heuristi, kritik sumber, atau verifikasi, interpretasi, dan historiografi.            Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu: (1) kawasan pemukiman Eropa di Kotabaru dibangun atas dasar kebutuhan tempat tinggal warga Eropa yang semakin banyak di Yogyakarta. (2) pada masa kependudukan Belanda tahun 1917-1942 Kotabaru difungsikan sebagai tempat tinggal para penduduk Eropa dan saat transisi Jepang pada tahun 1942 Kotabaru dialih fungsikan sebagai kawasan yang mendukung kegiatan pemerintah Jepang. (3) dampak dibangunnya kawasan pemukiman Eropa bagi masyarakat Yogyakarta adalah berubahnya mata pencaharian yang dikerjakan oleh warga pribumi saat itu  dan modernisasi yang terjadi di berbagai bidang, misalnya waterleiding, listrik dan arsitektur bangunan.Kata Kunci: Dampak Sosial, Kotabaru, Perubahan FungsiABSTRACTThis study aims to: (1) Describe the history of the constrction of the Kotabaru in Yogyakarta. (2) Decribe the function of the European settlement in Kotabaru during 1917-1945. (3) Provide an overview of the social impact of the development of European settlement for the people of Yogyakarta.This study uses literature review method. Data collection in this study was carried out by collecting written sources such an books, journal, thesis and internet related with a theme discussed by the author. The steps in this study is heuristics, source critism or verification, interpretation and historiography.The result of the study are: (1) the European settlemet area in Kotabaru was built on the basis of the housing needs of European citizens who are increasingly in Yogyakarta. (2) during the Dutch occupation in 1917-1942 Kotabar functioned as a residence for European residents and during the Japanese tansition in 1942 Kotabaru was converted into an area that supports the activities of the Japanese goverment. (3) the impact the contruction of a Eropean settlement area for the people of Yogyakarta was the change ini the livelihoods of the indigenous people at that time and teh modernization that occuratted fields, such as waterleiding, electricity and building architecture.Keywords: Function Change, New Wijk, Sosial Impact

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the learning values on the topic of conservation in the Museology Course, Department of History Education, Yogyakarta State University. The learning model that is used is experiential-based learning, which is shaped by students' learning through direct reflection. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative research method conducted in the Museology and History of Tourism class, Department of History Education, Yogyakarta State University in 2021–2022 and Tata Kelola ISI Yogyakarta in Anak Bajang Museum. The results showed that experiential-based learning is a suitable method for learning museology with the theme of conservation. The reason for students in general is that direct practice provides direct experience so that conceptual understanding can be put into practice. The values obtained by students are having discipline, thoroughness, responsibility, cooperation, and patience, which are obtained when practicing and treating the diversity that is conserved. In addition, students also increase their care for historical heritage.

Abstract
