Abstract

Background: Rectal cancer is one of the malignancies in the colon and rectum that specifically attacks the rectum that occurs due to the onset of the mucosa / epithelium where over time necrose and ulcers arise. Management of rectal cancer consists of surgical management and medical management. Surgery performed on rectum cancer is with low anterior resection (LAR) surgery. Low anterior resection (LAR) is an operation performed to treat rectum cancer. Method: This study is a case study, the sample of this study is patients with rectum cancer postoperative low anterior resection (LAR) at the Central General Hospital Prof. Dr. R.D Kandou Manado. Data collection was carried out using interviews, observations, and review of patient medical records.Result: the client experienced acute pain as the main nursing problem in this case. Furthermore, establish nursing interventions by referring to the Indonesian Nursing Intervention Standards (SIKI), namely: Pain Management 1) Identify the location, characteristics, duration, frequency, quality, and intensity of pain, 2) Identify pain scales, 3) Identify non-verbal pain responses, 4) Identify factors that relieve and aggravate pain, 5) Provide non-pharmacological techniques to reduce pain, 6) Environmental control that aggravates pain, 7) Facilitation of rest and sleep, 8) Explain pain relief strategies, 9) Collaboration ; administration of analgesics if necessary. Conclusion: Breathing relaxation techniques can affect the intensity of pain in postoperative patients because there is a significant difference between before and after breathing relaxation techniques.

Abstract

Introduction : Surgery is an event that causes anxiety. It is very important to reduce anxiety levels during the preoperative period to keep patient stress from increasing, avoiding high risks of surgery. One of the management of preoperative patient anxiety is to use touch presence, listening and understanding to communicate attitude " Caring "nurses for preoperative patients.Purpose : This study aims to determine the description of caring behavior and the anxiety level of preoperative patientsMethod : Systematic review, initial search found hundreds of references. The search for references was limited to articles published between 2000-2020. Related articles explaining the caring behavior of nurses and the level of anxiety of preoperative patients were collected. The keywords in the search were caring, caring behavior of nurses, anxiety of preoperative patients.Result : search results obtained articles, while those that match the inclusion criteria were 20 articles. Based on an analysis of the description of the caring behavior of nurses and the anxiety level of preoperative patients, from 10 journals the anxiety level of preoperative patients in hospitals was found to be moderate, while the caring behavior of nurses in hospitals according to 10 journals was found to be quite goodConclusion : nurses really need caring behavior to overcome the anxiety level of preoperative patients in the hospital.

Abstract

Background: tantrums as a trick to fulfill their parents' needs and desires. The child vents his mistakes by rolling on the hard floor which can cause the child to be injured. Method: This type of research is a description with a cross sectional approach with the aim of seeing a picture of temper tantrums in toddlers in the village of Muliorejo, Kec. Sunggal Kab. Deli Serdang. The population in the study were all toddlers with a total of 40 respondents, the sampling technique in the study was the total sample. Measuring tool used is a questionnaireResults: Based on the results of the study, it was shown that the temper tantrums of toddlers were mostly mild, 20 people (60%), a small proportion of children's temper tantrums were severe, namely 4 people (10%).Conclusion: It is hoped that parents can understand and be able to communicate well with children
