Abstract

The amount of non-organic fertilizer use that decreases the soil quality and the lack of utilization of organic compost by the community especially the compost of mushroom waste. The purpose of this research is to know how to apply organic compost of mushroom waste with the addition of EM4 for the growth of tomato plant (Solanum lycopersicum L.). Implementation of research in March 2013. Type of this research is experimental research and object in this research is tomato plant growth. The research approach used is quantitative approach. Data collection techniques with observation and documentation. This study used a Single Completely Randomized Design (RAL) consisting of three treatments: K0: uncomposted soil; K1: soil added organic compost of mushroom waste with EM4; K2: the soil added organic compost of mushroom waste with tofu pulp. Each was repeated five times, then analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) used F test at 5% significance level and continued with real difference test (BNT 5%). The result of the research in general is seen good application by organic compost of mushroom waste on tomato plant growth seen from parameter of plant height F count (39.242)> F table (3,081), number of leaf F count (11.643)> F table (3.081), width leaf F count (10.943)> F table (3.081), wet weight F count (13,043)> F table (3.081) and dry weight F arithmetic (11.863)> F table (3.081). Seen from the above data can be concluded that the application of organic compost of mushroom waste with the addition of EM4 this role for the growth of tomato plants.

Abstract

The problem of waste disposal that does not follow the rules almost always have a negative impact on the environment both in terms of aesthetics, environmental health and quality of human life. Organic waste derived from household activities is actually harmless, making it easier to handle than liquid and solid wastes containing hazardous materials from factories. Handling household waste is cheap and easy is composting it into compost. One alternative that can be done is to use the waste and waste to make compost with the addition of organic materials such as EM-4 and tofu dregs. In this research will try to utilize the tofu waste as activator in the composting process as a substitute of EM-4. Where the type of tofu dregs used is derived from byproducts in the preparation of tofu in solid form and obtained from the soybean expanse slurry, which is commonly found in tofu entrepreneurs, dregs of tofu mixed with (waste mushroom, oyster mushroom waste, bran, sugar, lime betel and water to taste). This study aims to determine the utilization of tofu pulp in composting of mushroom waste. This research was conducted in Perum Jalan Panji Asmara Number 1 District of Sekarbela, West Lombok regency, from February to March 2013. This research is experiment with qualitative research approach using Randomized Complete Design (RAL) with experiment consist of two treatment factors, that is EM4 and tofu, each treatment factor repeated 3 repetitions. Observational data were analyzed using descriptive analysis. Parameters observed were temperature, odor, color, and humidity. From the results of the study concluded that the use of tofu waste activator in composting of mushroom waste faster than the use of EM4 activator because the dregs know it contains lots of ammonia and quickly decompose, thus accelerating in the composting process.

Abstract

Indonesia's forests are tropical forests rich in yields that have a high economic value to reach the third rank of the world. One of the non-timber forest products is Gaharu (Gyrinops versteegii). Agarwood has many benefits as a producer of perfumes, incense for prayer and some other goods that have a high economic value. The aim of this research is to know the difference of anatomical structure of eagle leaf which is treated in various intensity of light. This research was conducted at Evaluation-Collection Garden of Plant Breeding, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Mataram from August 21, 2007 until September 25, 2008. The research was designed using RAK (Group Random Design) consisting of 3 blocks, each block was 5 light intensity treatment 20% ; 40%; 60%; 80% and 100% of each treatment there are 3 replications, so that obtained 3 x 5 x 3 = 45 sample units. Data obtained from the study were analyzed using Analisys of variance (ANOVA) and tested further with BNT at 5% significant level. The parameters observed included stoma density, trichome density, stoma type, pile cell height, thick epidermal upper and lower epidermal thickness, the results of the analysis showed that each treatment given to gaharu plants showed a significant difference in the anatomical structure of the leaves. The conclusion of the research result is the intensity of light effect on the changes on the anatomical structure of gaharu leaf, especially on the parameters.

Abstract

A study of the existence of Bioactive Immunosuppressant Compounds on Balinese Testis Extract (Bos sondaicus) through In Vitro Test. This study aims to study the provision of bioactive compounds immunosuppressant that has been extracted from cow testes against inhibition of lymphocyte cell ploriferation. The effects of these immunosuppressant compounds can be observed from ploriferation of Mus musculus lymphocytes cells to injections (exposure) of Bali Cow Testicular Extract exposed together or without concanavalin A (Con A, as a trigger for lymphocyte cell proliferation) and Bovine Serum Albumin (BSA) as standard solution . This research was designed with Completely Randomized Design (RAL). The data obtained were analyzed by ANOVA analysis using F-test. The results of this study indicate that injection of Balinese Cervical Test Extract exposed simultaneously with BSA (ET + BSA) can increase the proliferation of Balb / c lymphocyte cell culture in In Vitro (p <0.05) compared with control and exposure of BSA and Con A together for 72 hours. However, when exposed without Con A and BSA, the Bali Cattle Testicular Extract significantly suppressed (immunosuppressed) lymphocyte cell proliferation (p <0.05) compared with exposure to Con A.

Abstract

One of the most important element for plant growth is nitrogen. Nitrogen is part of the protein, an important constituent part of protoplasm, an enzyme, a biological catalyst agent that speeds up the process of life. Nitrogen is also present as part of the nucleoproteins, amino acids, amines, sugars, polypeptides and organic compounds in plants. The purpose of this study is to know whether the utilization of tofu pulp in the manufacture of organic compost of fungi waste to meet the element of nitrogen (N). The method used in this research is quantitative and qualitative. This type of research is experimental research, which is a systematic, logical, and meticulous type of research in controlling the existing conditions. Analysis of data used, that is calculation manually. The results of this study indicate that the compost control with compost treatment of nitrogen analysis is not much different, the compost control has result among others 1.29%, 1.64%, and 1.74% and the highest is the bottom sample. While the composition of the 10:50 treatment resulted between 1.13%, 0.92%, and 0.98% with the highest yield was in the upper sample, the 30: 50 treatment composition resulted between 1.09%, 1.24%, and 1.17% with the highest yield in the middle sample, and 50:50 treatment compost having a yield of between 0.74%, 0.72%, and 0.41% with the highest yield being in the middle sample. It can be concluded that there is no effect of tofu waste in making organic compost of mushroom waste, except with the treatment of 30:50.

Abstract

Flower H. sabdariffa is efficacious as an antiseptic, demulcent (neutralizes stomach acid), digestif (diuretic digestion, onthemintic (anti-worms), refrigerant (cooling effect), and treat cancer, cough, stomach ulcers, bloating abdomen, and prevent liver disease However, clinical trials utilizing H. sabdariffa to prevent and treat S. typhimurium infection infections have not been done. Therefore, this study was conducted to determine the effect of H. sabdariffa inhibit the growth and kill the bacteria causing S. typhimurium infection disease on The extraction of H. sabdariffa was performed by infusa method using aquadest solvent in vitro test by using the well method by measuring the diameter of clear zone formed around the well. After that, it was continued by in vivo test by giving oral extract of H. sabdariffa to the mice which has been infected S. typhimurium. From this study dipe it is found that the extract of H. sabdariffa has an antibacterial effect with the inhibitory zone obtained.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether or not the effect of organic fertilizer in the waste of fungi pools to improve the growth of parrot fish (Oreochromis niloticus). The type of this study was an experimental study using Completely Randomized Design (RAL) with three treatments in control pool (0 ml of fertilizer) P pool (additional 1000 ml of fertilizer) and R pool (additional 500 ml of fertilizer). Then the results of data measurement (length, height, and weight) were analyzed by Analysis of Variance (Anova) with SPSS 16 for windows program. Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that ineffective organic fertilizer application of fungi waste in ponds for growth of parrot fish (Oreochromis niloticus) in control pond (0 ml of fertilizer) pond P (additional 1000 ml of fertilizer) and pond R (additional 500 ml of fertilizer). Fcount test score is 15.453 and Ftable is 3.371 for fish length, then Fcount test is 9.021 and Ftable is 3.371 for fish height, and Fcount 8.815 and Ftable is 3,371 for fish weight. The conclusions from this study indicate that there are three effects of organic mushroom waste on the pond to increase the growth of parrot fish (Oreochromis niloticus).

Abstract

Phosphorus (P) is a fluorescent substance due to phosphorescence, a chemical element that has the symbol P with atomic number 15. Phosphorus is an essential macro nutrient essential for plant growth, but its content in soil is lower than nitrogen (N ), potassium (K), and calcium (Ca). The purpose of this research is to know how to analyze the content of phosphorus (P) element in organic compost of mushroom waste with dregs activator know. The method used in this research is quantitative and qualitative. This type of research is experimental research, which is a systematic, logical, and meticulous type of research in controlling the existing conditions. Analysis of data used, namely SPSS 16.0 for Windows followed by Duncan test. The results of this study indicate that compost control with compost treatment has not much different results, respectively, ie (0.84%, 1.00%, and 1.08%) and the highest is the bottom sample. While the composition of the treatment of 10:50 has a sequential result, ie (1.15%, 0.70%, and 0.98%) the highest yield is in the upper sample, the compost treatment of 30:50 has the following results, ie (0.79%, 1.06%, and 1.13 The highest yield was found in the bottom sample, and the 50: 50 treatment compost had a sequential result, ie (0.68%, 0.71%, and 0.69%) the highest yield was in the middle sample.It was concluded that there was no effect of tofu waste in composting organic mushroom waste in lieu of EM4, except with the treatment of 10:50 and 30:50.

Abstract

This study aims to create a model of learning devices at the elementary level by using cooperative learning type think pair share through the provision of contextual questions to train creative thinking skills and student learning outcomes. The method used is reference study, observation and experiment. Referral studies conducted are to study theories about the concept and structure of learning tools, cooperative learning model type think pair share, contextual questions and indicators of creative thinking skills at elementary school level. Furthermore, the observations made were to assess the learning tools commonly used by elementary school teachers, analysis of learning support resources, the context of IPA SD, the learning process undertaken by the teacher and the characteristics of the students. Experiments are used to get data about differences in the use of instructional devices in experiment and control classes. The results obtained from referral and observation studies will be a draft of modeling of cooperative learning tools of type think pair share through contextual questions. The results showed that first for the syllabus and RPP components there was no difference between the ones compiled by the researchers and those prepared by SDN 21 Ampenan teachers. However, there are some differences in preparing the RPP, firstly in terms of the material description, both in terms of number of meetings and, thirdly in terms of core activities (exploration, elaboration, and confirmation). Secondly, there is a relationship between the development of the model of cooperative learning type of think pair share through the presentation of contextual problems to the creative thinking skill of SDN 21 Ampenan students. Third, there is a relationship between the development of the model of cooperative learning type of think pair share through the presentation of contextual problems on student learning outcomes SDN 21 Ampenan. Fourth, there is a difference between the ability of creative thinking and learning outcomes between students who follow cooperative learning type think pair share through the presentation of contextual problems with students who follow the lecture learning.
