At this time, articles that discuss harmony between Islamic religious values and a culture of society are very rare, so this is also an advantage of this article compared to other articles. The author hopes that this article will be of benefit especially for personal writers and readers in general. Not only that, the authors also hope that this article can change the mindset and perspective of people who think that Religion and Culture are two things that are contradictory to each other. Basically Religion and Culture are two things that are interrelated and cannot be separated.

Abstract

This scientific article discusses the symbols in advertisements which indicate an element of intent to make religious values a selling point (commodification). Advertising is one of the persuasive communication media that is deliberately made to attract audiences with the aim of obtaining economic benefits or benefits. The advertisements referred to in this study are advertisements for beauty products with the Safi brand, which are quite popular among Muslim women in Indonesia. Advertisers will do anything to make their products sell well in the market, including the practice of commodification. In this case, religion has changed its function to become an exchange value for material interests. The method used in this paper is qualitative-interpretative. The analytical knife used is Charles Sander Peirce's semiotics which is known as the triadic relation (object, interpretant, and representament). The results of this study indicate that symbols such as the selection of Muslim women actors are marked by the clothes used, friendly attitudes, smiles, thoroughness shown by the actors, the setting that reflects cleanliness, product taglines, and the halal label from MUI change religious values to no more than traded value.

Abstract

Basically, men and women are intellectually, morally and sublimely equally noble. men and women alike have hopes and dreams. This is the basis for humans to compete in achieving something in life. However, until now, gender equality between men and women has not been completed. As well as the confusion and indecision that occurs in society regarding the substance of women's leadership in the sense of religious legality whether or not it is permissible for human nature as religious beings to become a benchmark in determining something as well as leadership for that. This research was conducted to find out the opinion of the Qur'an and the new covenant regarding women's leadership. This research is classified as a qualitative research using the type of library research (library research) where all existing data is taken from various books and scientific sources related to the title. In this study, it is based on religious literature from Islam and Christianity related to the problems studied, namely women's leadership. This research uses theological, historical approach and uses comparative theory. And the purpose of this study is to find out the views and differences of the Qur'an and the New Testament on women's leadership The results of this study found that Islam has never turned behind women, it's just that women exist to be protected and loved, but in Islamic leadership it prioritizes men for several reasons. in her role as a woman that has been described in the Qur'an. Then in the new covenant men and women are equal in status and role rights, but this is still new, because in the previous book even considered women as seducers who were not allowed to lead in the church in the New Testament the essential element of leadership itself was service, So to lead is to serve and serve.

Abstract

National stability is an important thing that must be maintained for the sustainability of society livehood. Social diversity often leads to polemics and riots that cause anxiety, but in fact not all diversity leads to hostility. The people of Punggur Kapuas Village place Tomas (community leaders) and Toga (religious leaders) as figures who can lead, adjudicate and maintain the harmony of a plural society. This qualitative research combines field research and library research approaches, and uses the narrative-analytic method to present the findings. Based on the analysis of Peter L. Berger and Thomas Luckmann's reality construct theory on the data obtained in the field, the five religions (Islam, Christianity, Catholicism, Hinduism, and Confucianism) in this village have their own roles in appreciating religious values and transforming them into social understanding. The results of this study are the stages taken in externalization, objectivation and internalization experienced by all elements of the village community. This shows evidence that the role and thoughts of Tomas and Toga have a significant impact in maintaining community interaction and maintaining harmony. This research has implications for the study of religions that show a harmonious village model in social interaction and moderate attitudes applied in community life.

Abstract

Religion has two main forces, namely as a factor of the power of unifying power (centripetal) and a factor of strength of divisive power (centrifugal). In a pluralist, multiethnic society, language and religion are presented as centripetal factors and also function as social control and motivators of development with a human dimension. Even religion also acts as an instrument of glue for the integrity of the nation. The critical function of religion is necessary not only to sensitize the mindset and behavior of individuals in society, but also to provide direction to development concepts and planning. Conflict theory arose as a reaction to the emergence of functional structural theory. Functional theory in sociology is one of the perspectives in sociology that views society as a system consisting of parts that are interrelated with one another. This theory views that society is static or in a balanced change, where each element of society has a role in maintaining stability. While conflict theory is a situation that everyone does not want because it harms material and nonmaterial. Marx and Weber categorically rejected the idea that society tends to lead to basic consensus or harmony, in which the ongoing structure of society works for the good of everyone. From these two things, it can be concluded that conflict is a social phenomenon that is present in social life, so conflict is inherent, meaning that conflict will always exist in every time and space, anywhere and anytime. In this view, society is an arena of conflict or an arena of conflict and integration that always takes place. Therefore, conflict and social integration are symptoms that always fill every social life, and the function and role of religion needs to be maintained in social and state life as the main force.
