Abstract

This study aims to analyze the adaptation of digital campaigns carried out by the Instagram account @millenial_hiro in attracting the swipe generation in Medan City, through the approach of Islamic political communication and symbolic interactionism theory. The swipe generation, as a representation of productive-age youth, shows characteristics of critical, fast, and responsive information consumption to social media. The @millenial_hiro campaign strategy does not only use digital media to convey political programs, but also builds an interaction space based on the values of honesty, trustworthiness, justice, and benefit. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods, observation techniques, documentation, and content analysis based on the Klaus Krippendorff model. The findings show that various forms of content such as online game tournaments, educational microblogs, narrative talk, flow-talk, social experiments, and parody videos are used to create emotional resonance, strengthen political involvement, and form collective meanings rooted in Islamic values. Symbolic interactionism theory is used to read how digital symbols in the campaign build shared political meanings between candidates and youth. This study offers novelty by combining the perspectives of Islamic communication and symbolic interactionism in understanding the dynamics of digital political campaigns. The results of the study indicate that socio-political da'wah in the new media era can run effectively through a creative approach based on Islamic values, building a participatory, just, and civilized political culture among the younger generation. This study also opens up space for further studies on the transformation of Islamic political communication in the context of the development of digital technology.

Abstract

The use of mass media and social media has become one of the main strategies in the image of politicians and political parties in this digital era. The development of information technology, especially the internet and social media, allows political communication to take place faster, more interactively, and more accessible to various groups of society. This article aims to analyze the role of information media in shaping political image through a qualitative approach with a literature review method . This study collects, analyzes, and synthesizes various relevant literature sources, such as books, journal articles, and seminar papers, to understand how politicians and political parties use media as a tool for communication, branding , and political image. The results of the study show that mass media, although still having a significant role, is increasingly being replaced by social media which offers politicians the convenience of building personal branding and interacting directly with voters. Political image building through these two types of media not only functions to shape public perception, but also to manage public opinion and influence political decisions. Social media, in particular, provides an opportunity for politicians to build an image that is more personal and responsive to the needs of the community. This study also discusses various communication theories that explain the influence of mass media on political behavior, such as reinforcement theory , agenda setting, priming, framing , and direct effect theory .

Abstract

Basically, men and women are intellectually, morally and sublimely equally noble. men and women alike have hopes and dreams. This is the basis for humans to compete in achieving something in life. However, until now, gender equality between men and women has not been completed. As well as the confusion and indecision that occurs in society regarding the substance of women's leadership in the sense of religious legality whether or not it is permissible for human nature as religious beings to become a benchmark in determining something as well as leadership for that. This research was conducted to find out the opinion of the Qur'an and the new covenant regarding women's leadership. This research is classified as a qualitative research using the type of library research (library research) where all existing data is taken from various books and scientific sources related to the title. In this study, it is based on religious literature from Islam and Christianity related to the problems studied, namely women's leadership. This research uses theological, historical approach and uses comparative theory. And the purpose of this study is to find out the views and differences of the Qur'an and the New Testament on women's leadership The results of this study found that Islam has never turned behind women, it's just that women exist to be protected and loved, but in Islamic leadership it prioritizes men for several reasons. in her role as a woman that has been described in the Qur'an. Then in the new covenant men and women are equal in status and role rights, but this is still new, because in the previous book even considered women as seducers who were not allowed to lead in the church in the New Testament the essential element of leadership itself was service, So to lead is to serve and serve.
