Abstract

The criminal act of robbery really makes people nervous, especially in urban areas. There are many ways that can be done to avoid robbery at home and office, such as increasing the security system in the house to protect valuables. Safe-deposit boxes are items that are used to store valuables. Safe-deposit box is used to prevent against theft who want to take valuable things. To increase security, technology has begun to develop for security in various ways, such as fingerprints, passwords, and buzzers. This research will focus on a safe security system using a fingerprint that is connected to the internet with the Blynk application so that the user will get a safe notification when the servo condition is open or closed. The fingerprint sensor is an access to open doors, the Arduino Uno microcontroller is a storage for command logic on the system, the stepper motor acts as an activator for opening and closing servo and the Esp8266 module as a Wi-Fi module that connects equipment components using the internet network with the Blynk application which is used as distance control and notification of incoming access to homes with the concept of Internet of Things (IoT).

Abstract

A hotel is a place that provides accommodation, food, drink, and services for people traveling far from home. During this pandemic, many hotels started to apply strict health protocols for social distancing by reducing the number of their employees. For this purpose, we developed a service robot for some works in a hotel called E-butler. E -butler robots can provide amenities delivery service for the guest. The butler application for ordering amenities was developed by using MIT App Inventor as a prototype and will be developed further using Flutter. While the hardware of the E-butler robot is developed using the Mecanum wheels platform and Arduino for controlling the movement of the robot. Furthermore, the e-butler robot is equipped with teleconference devices based on Jetson Nano to facilitate communication between hotel employees and guests. Based on our evaluation, the butler robots can carry out the main task of E-butler, which can replace human butlers in hotels.

Abstract

This paper discusses the Origin of the Basic Formula of the Laplace Transform L{f(t)}=∫_0^∞▒〖e^(-st) f(t) 〗 dt=F(s). To obtain this model, the author derives the basic formula for the Laplace Transform from a Power Series. In this derivation, we use Euler’s number to the power of the function and the Maclaurin Series to obtain the derivation of the Basic Formula for the Laplace Transform where the Maclaurin Series is derived from the Taylor Series.

Abstract

Despite the popularity of social media and Internet-based messaging services, Short Message Service (SMS) is still widely used by a lot of people worldwide. However, in this modern era, Short Message Service (SMS) is not a secure way of sending and receive text messages. Anyone with the right privilleges can easily read all the messages sent using SMS service. Therefore, appropriate cryptographic algorithms should be applied to ensure confidentiality of the message content. In this paper, a modified AES with Vigenere Cipher Algorithm will be used to encrypt the text message, hence greatly increasing the security of the sent messages. Avalanche Effect is chosen as a metric for measuring performance of the proposed algorithm and its implementation. The proposed algorithm shows high Avalanche Effect compared to standard AES algorithm.

Abstract

Indonesia as a maritime country in the world with 66% of its territory consists of maritime territory. A lot of potential that can be exploited, such as sea water. XRD characterization results indicate that the sea water from Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta, Indonesia has a compound Halite (NaCl) and Bassanite (CaSO4.5H2O) in the salt form. These compounds are alkaline thereby can influence the compressive strength of the geopolymer. Geopolymer is made up of aluminosilicate precursors which are activated by the alkaline activator solution, which usually combines sodium silicate and sodium hydroxide. The precursor material is waste from the coal based power plant called fly ash that produce 219.000 tonne per year and still underutilized but potentially as an alternative to cement. In this study, seawater was used to substitute the sodium hydroxide in alkali activator as an effort to reduce the manufacturing cost of Geopolymer. Geopolymer prepared by mixing fly ash as a precursor, silica sand as aggregates, with activator, then casted and cured by immersion. After 28 days compression test was conducted to measure the strength of resulting geopolymer. The sample consisted of a mixture of fly ash, silica sand, waterglass, and seawater produces strength of 16.60 MPa. X-Ray Diffraction characterization was conducted to study the compound formed from precursors activated with seawater alkali activator. Resulting diffractogram indicate the formation of anorthite compound as proof of Geopolymerization has been successfully occured.

Abstract

Digital games development process is often done using traditional methods. Many digital game developers believe that the game development process cannot be equated and use other software development methods because game development is not only focused on technical processes such as programming and coding but also creative processes such as asset and display design. In this study, the process of developing a fantasy adventure puzzle game was carried out using the Game-Scrum approach, a method modified from the Agile Scrum method. As well as the software development process using the agile method, game development using this method is carried out with an iterative process where each process allows an update of the feedback given to each sprint backlog. At the end of the study it was concluded that although there were still some things that had to be adjusted, basically the Game Scrum method could be adapted for the development of a digital game.
