Abstract

This article examines what the legal and political implications are of the recent Indonesian government’s decision of designating the Free Papua Movement (OPM) as a terrorist organization. For that purpose, armed separatism in West Papua will be explained and then followed by an elaboration of the threat of terrorism in Indonesia and a discussion of the labelling of OPM as a terrorist organization. The terrorist designation of the OPM will apply the Indonesian anti-terrorism law that gives longer pre-trial detention power to the Police and the possibility of placing OPM on the terrorist list. The Indonesian government seems to gain political support from the Muslim community that has criticized the government for using the terrorism issue against Islam only before the designation was announced. The method and approaches used in this work are grounded in descriptive as well as normative judicial analysis.

Abstract

Water is one of the important needs of society for everyday life, especially the need for clean water. To meet these needs, the community can get water from rivers, rainwater, and groundwater sources. Kulon Progo is one of the areas that are part of the Yogyakarta Province, where in Kulon Progo there are many water sources. However, based on research conducted, the water in Kulon Progo cannot be used as drinking water because it has been contaminated. For this reason, it is necessary to conduct a study, especially in terms of existing regulations, both national and regional regulations, whether these regulations can protect water sources so that they can protect the environment, including water sources. Indonesia already has rules regarding environmental protection and management, namely Law Number 32 of 2009, and regulations regarding Water Resources, namely Law Number 17 of 2019. From these regulations, it can be said that they have been able to protect water sources so that they are not polluted, but awareness and the need for community participation are not carried out activities that can cause water pollution.

Abstract

Supply Chain Management is a crucial activity that entails overseeing the movement of materials form the source, throughput, to the end consumer. However, in this endeavour, there are increased instances of uncertainties i.e. speeds of delivery, flexibility and environmental factors that affect the services rendered to the end consumer. This drives the concept of supply chain agility which focuses on the speeds of response to any changes in the consumer demands. The healthcare sector has undergone significant changes within the past decades. Amidst these changes, attaining efficient and effective healthcare service delivery remains a distant prospect among multiple nations. This study therefore sought to find out the moderating role of procurement governance on the relationship between supply chain agility and service delivery in the Public health care sector in the county governments of the western region. The hypothesis for the study was: - Procurement Governance has no significant influence on the relationship between Supply Chain Agility and Service Delivery of the Public Health care sector in the County Governments of Western Region The study was anchored on three theories, theory of Human Service Delivery, Dynamic Capability Perspectives and Institutional Theory. The study adopted a Positivist research philosophy and a descriptive survey research design and the target population was 284 respondents of the four level 5 county hospitals in the western region. Questionnaires and interview schedules were used for data collection and analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. Data was presented using tables, scree plots and scatter plots.  The study is of value to researchers and academicians, County government authorities and residents of the four counties. 258 respondents participated in the study and preliminary data checking, screening and cleaning was done. Validity and reliability statistics were done and they indicated that the research instruments were adequate for their purpose. Diagnostic tests were also conducted and none of the variables violated these assumptions. Regression analysis was done for the Supply Chain Agility and service delivery. Supply chain agility accounted for 44.5% of the changes in Service Delivery, but with the introduction of procurement governance as a moderator, the R2 value rose to 59.4% with p˂0.05. This indicated that Procurement Governance was a significant moderator of the relationship. The study recommended that hospitals to should pay attention to three main aspects of procurement governance. First, they should set rules and policies that describe the authoritative position regarding the standards, principles, and objectives of the procurement process. Such standards include transparency and Accountability.

Most of large and successful companies are derived from family businesses that grow successfully. This business success will only happen if the family-owned business is able to create appropriate company structure and apply good management principles so that the company will develop and survive from one generation to another. A common problem found in family businesses is internal conflict in which the family member has his own interest that could interrupt the business. Competitive companies, politics, government regulation are some issues which are difficult to face. Those problems could give impact to the family-owned business. This study was aimed at finding out the problem solutions of family business by analyzing the relationship between family-owned business and its success in SMEs. The research method used was quantitative by using causal design. The primary data was taken from 30 respondents who are the owners of family businesses in SMEs. Abstract

CV. Rama Raiders was a home industry engaged in the fashion sector. The business had seven main stages of the production process: selecting materials, making patterns, cutting techniques, sewing processes, gluing processes, finishing/quality control, and packaging in carrying out production activities to achieve the desired quality CV. Rama Raiders still faces several obstacles, one of which is the presence of defective products produced, which causes product quality to decline. This research aims to identify the factors that cause sandals defects in CV. Rama Raiders. The methodology used the Seven tools and FMEA methods to determine the process of controlling leather sandal product defects using qualitative data. Corrective action plans used the 5W+1H concept to address each root cause of the problems. The results were that the most dominant type of defect in leather sandals was a type of glue defect that was not neat. The appearance was because of human and machine factors that didn't work optimally, tools that didn't support it, materials that didn't fit, inadequate environment, and no standard operating procedures. The improvements made by changing the glue, adding a brush, and making SOP improved the quality. From this research, the methods help reduce the problem of product defects experienced by the company

Abstract

Broccoli (Brassica oleracia L.) and lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.) were part of horticultural commodities that can be consumed and contain a lot of vitamins, such as vitamins A, B Complex, C, and essential minerals such as calcium and iron for fulfilling human nutrition. Lettuce plants can also be consumed as salad. The demand for horticultural crops, broccoli and lettuce, was increasing because people awareness on nutritional needs arise. Besides, these plants are also delicious. Intercropping pattern used by farmers on Jalan Kayu Ambon, Lembang District, West Bandung Regency was a form of mixed cropping pattern system that involve two or more types of plants in the same area and the same time. This intercropping pattern can maximize production in a limited land, and the risk of loss can be reduced. The objective of this research was to find out cost, revenue and the R/C ratio of the intercropping system of broccoli and lettuce. The method of the research was the survey method. The data consist of the primary and secondary data. The primary collected directly from the farmer. Meanwhile the secondary data collected from literature and any institutions that related to this research. The farmer was Bapak Jajang. The primary data consisted fix cost, variable cost, and revenue. The data were used to calculate Break Even Point and R/C ratio.Result of the research showed that total cost (TC) used in intercropping broccoli and lettuce system was IDR 5,462,142/planting season, with total revenue (TR) was IDR 5,958,000. The R/C ratio was 1.09. So this Intercropping Farming System was feasible because the R/C ratio more than 1.
