Abstract

An increasing number of smokers is associated with an increased risk of tuberculosis (TB). The risk of TB can be reduced by two thirds if someone stops smoking. The purpose of this study was to determine smoking behavior in TB patients in three puskesmas in Banyuwangi District (Puskesmas Sobo, Puskesmas Kertosari, and Puskesmas Singotrunan). This research is a descriptive study with a cross-sectional approach, which was conducted for 6 (six) months, June to December 2017. This study used data from a study entitled "nutrition status, social support, and health-related quality of life in tuberculosis patients at the center Banyuwangi health services ". Data were collected by conducting a survey using a questionnaire to 71 TB patients, but only male TB patients (56.3%) were further investigated. The results of this study showed 15% of male TB patients continued to smoke, 7.5% smoked daily and 7.5% smoked occasionally. Of the male TB patients who do not currently smoke, 73% smoked daily, and 9% smoked occasionally. As many as 85% of male TB patients have smoked, 4% smoked 5 minutes after waking up, and 21% smoked 6 to 30 minutes after waking up. As many as 11% of male TB patients who smoke spend more than 31 cigarettes, and 14% use 21 to 30 cigarettes. It can be concluded that there are still male TB patients who continue to smoke. The results of this study indicate that the need for empowerment of the PMO (Drugs Supervisor) to monitor smoking behavior in TB patients, counseling in TB patients should be able to detect the existence of addiction to smoking and consultation efforts to stop smoking.

Abstract

Pekalongan Regency is one of the areas located on the north coast of the Java Sea and occurred rob every year. Psychosocial problems such as anxiety and stress appeared accompanied by depression due to rob that has occurred since 2008. Five-finger hypnosis is a generalist therapy in mental nursing to reduce anxietyby bringing respondents in a relaxed condition and increasing calm by inviting respondents to imagine. This study aims to determine the effect of five-finger hypnosis on depression, anxiety, and stress felt by residents of the village of Jeruksari, Pekalongan Regency affected by rob. The design of this study used quantitative research with a pre-experimental approach with the pretest post-test one-group design method. This research was conducted on30 people. Data collection was carried out with a Depression Anxiety Stress Scale (DASS) questionnaire administered before and after the intervention. five-finger hypnosis therapy, bivariate analysis was performed with a t-test, the t-test results showed a sig value. 0.001 with a significance level of 0.05. This showed that five-finger hypnosis can reduce depression, anxiety, and stress felt by respondents who reside in the Rob Pekalongan district.

Abstract

The prevalence of people suffering from depression in Indonesia is 21,8 percent. The percentage shows that there is a 12,1 percent higher prevalence compared to the global prevalence. Depression can affect anyone, including the freshman year students who are undergoing a transition of the development phase from secondary education to college education as late teenagers. The transition causes conflicts and adjustments as there is a culture shock that may trigger the depression. Depression is a mental disorder marked by the appearance of symptoms such as the loss of interest, feelings of guilt, mood loss, sleep disorder, and eating disorders. Thus, this research aims at figuring out the picture of depression levels based on residency among freshman year students in Sobo campus PSDKU Universitas Airlangga in Banyuwangi. This research is descriptive quantitative research using a cross-sectional study conducted on May 16, 2019, to May 20, 2019, with a total population of 83 students. The data mining technique used in this research is done by spreading the questionnaire of The Zung Self Depression Scale. The previously processed data through cleaning, coding, and tabulation stages are presented in table and description. The result showed Freshman year students who live by themselves or in boarding houses are included in the category of normal depression level with the most number of 60 people (72,29%). Meanwhile, freshmen year students who live with other people are included in the same category with less number of 8 people (9,64%). The conclusion of this reseach, depression level experienced by freshman year students of Sobo campus PSDKU Universitas Airlangga in Banyuwangi tends to be in the category of normal depression, which can be handled well to prevent the change from normal depression to mild or severe depression. The students can practice their adaptation skills and do coping according to their self-states, for instance doing physical activities.

Abstract

Sick on humans not only presented by come to the hospital and drink medicine. Individuals with sick can be screening by disruption of psychological health and increased anxiety. The Unhealthy psychological state signed with old age people feel anxiety more than usual. Feelings of comfort with life can emerge from Psychological well-Being. The main objective of this study was to determine a description of Psychological Well Being in the Elderly. This research is descriptive quantitative research using a cross-sectional study. Research held on 13 May 2019 until 14 May 2019. Population in this research is the elderly in RT IV RW IV Lateng Village and a total people has age 60- ≥90 year is 30 people. Saturated sample techniques used in this research. Data was collected using the general wellbeing schedule questionnaire. The data processed through phase cleaning, coding, and then tabulate the data then presented in table form as well as in descriptive. The results showed the elderly have Psychological Well-Being on a good category of 28 respondents (93,3%). The conclusion of this research the level of psychological well being elderly in RT IV RW IV Lateng Village be at a good level. The good PWB well influenced by social support, interaction, activities to prevent the decline of organ function. It is recommended for the elderly to maintain physical activity and communication with their neighbors so that psychological well-being is maintained.

Abstract

Stress is one of the body's response due to unbalanced demands and abilities. The workers group is one group that has the potential for stress. The impact of stress caused is very likely to affect work. The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between mental workload and individual factors (work period, age) with stress at aquaculture company in Banyuwangi. This research was an observational study with cross sectional design. The sample of this research is 36 samples and it is a total population. The purpose of this study was to determine the correlation between variables, the research data were analyzed using the Spearman correlation test. The results showed that the majority of workers have a mental workload with a high category, stress conditions for workers are mostly in the low stress category In conclusion, there is no relationship between mental workload (p value = 0,123) and work period (p value = 0,096) with stress. However, there is a relationship between age and stress (p value = 0,023) and this relationship is negative (correlation coefficient = -0.281). Recommendations for companies are to pay attention to workload owned by workers, both mental and physical workloads, create health programs for workers, including physical and mental health, create a healthy and comfortable work environment, and create good relationships between workers and introduce stress management to workers, so the workers are able to prevent the adverse effects of stress that might be experienced.
