Abstract

In this era, practical, effectiveness and safety in activities are the necessities and demands of life where almost all people make it a priority in their lives. Effectiveness in activities will be obtained by the availability of technology that supports it all. Various efforts have been made by humans to make neat clothes so as to create a clean impression and support various activities, an example of the results of human efforts that are widely used to overcome this is by using an iron. In addition, the majority of the equipment still requires manual operation. Apart from the practical side, but does not eliminate the safety side. So here the author is interested in conducting research on the practicality of use which is later expected to make the use of irons more efficient, practical and safe. The measured parameter is how the DS18B20 temperature sensor functions as a temperature response receiver that sends a signal to the temperature sensor module which will activate or deactivate the iron through a smartphone. The results of this study that the device is able to send a signal to the smartphone and if the temperature produced by the iron exceeds the maximum limit a warning sign will appear on the smartphone, and the user can operate the iron online and remotely using a smartphone. The speed of response received by the tool is also to be forwarded to the iron or smartphone is also in accordance with needs.

Abstract

LPG (Liquified Petroleum Gas) is one of the important sources of energy. When compared with other fuels such as oil or firewood, LPG is very practical to be used for household because the material is produced from gas. But behind its practicality, it turns out that LPG gas can cause a danger if not used carefully. According to statistics, the second position of causing fire is a leaky gas cylinder that was ignited by a fire source. To overcome this problem, there a lot of research that uses special tools that can be used to detect leaks for LPG. In the design of the tool, most researchers used MQ-6 type sensors that were indeed built to utilize LPG gas. But studies on the characteristics of MQ-6 have not been done much, especially about the sensitivity of this sensor when used to detect LPG gas at a certain distance, so it needs to be researched about sensor placement. Therefore, in this study the sensitivity testing of the MQ-6 sensor was carried out. The results obtained at a distance of 10 to 30 cm, this sensor is very sensitive in detecting the presence of gas, but at a distance of 30 to 110 cm, it is less sensitive to detect presence of LPG gas because it can only support 10% of the total amount of gas in the air at a distance of 110 cm.

Abstract

In line with the development of science and technology today, especially in the field of electricity brought many changes in the use of electricity. Electricity is currently needed both industrial and non-industrial. Electricity needs are currently provided by PLN as the main power source. The flow of electricity from the electricity grid is not always continuous in its distribution, one day there must be a blackout that may be caused by interference with the transmission system or distribution system. To anticipate this outage, it is necessary to design an automatic control called an automatic transfer switch and to prepare a backup source, a 2000-watt power inverter. Automatic transfer switch is electrical equipment that functions as a controller of the process of switching the PLN electricity supply to the inverter power supply or vice versa automatically. In the operation of this automatic transfer switch can be operated manually and automatically. Where is in automatic mode, if there is a power outage on PLN this tool is useful for turning on and connecting the power inverter to the load automatically. When PLN revives, this tool will transfer the power source to the load from the power inverter to the PLN electricity. At this time technological advances are developing very rapidly, technology is an inspiration so that life in the world becomes lighter, easier and practical.

Abstract

The vital capacity value of the lungs is very influential with the health of the human lungs because with the results the value of the vital capacity of the human lung can be diagnosed as normal or abnormal of the lungs. This study aims to make a means of detecting respiration gas flow rates in humans using an arduino uno-based YF-S201 flow sensor. From the results of data analysis of respiratory gas flow in adult male breathing with ages (20 years - 30 years), (30 years - 35 years), (35 years - 45 years) and (45 years - 50 years) as many as 15 users. there is an error of 3.86%, the value is generated from comparing the output of the equipment made by researchers with other tools of the brand Spirolab with as many as 15 users of different height and age. From 15 different users there are 2 users with abnormal lung conditions and 13 other users with normal lung conditions. The result of this error occurred because of the 15 users who were less relaxed when exhaling and breathing.

Abstract

The design of this explosive detector is an alternative low-cost explosive detector device that can detect the presence of explosives by comparing the value of the magnetic field so that an object will be known to be an explosive or not. This tool can provide additional assistance in the Juanda airport area which still rarely uses conventional explosive detector equipment because the price is still expensive. This design uses a magnetometer sensor that can calculate the magnitude of the magnetic field in the explosives and will send analog inputs in the form of voltage values to the Arduino displayed with LCD media and sound from the buzzer so that the category of explosives can be detected.

Abstract

TDS meter is a measure of the conductivity of solutes in liquids, this tool is often used as an important component in determining water quality before use. There are still several components to be examined beside TDS, one of which is temperature. Temperature is an important component to measure the feasibility of water. Temperature measuring devices can be used to find out how much the temperature of the liquid being measured. The TDS meter that is already in the general public can only be used to find out the TDS. So, if people want to measure other components such as temperature, a thermometer is needed to measure it, of course this becomes inefficient and requires a higher cost because if you want to measure other components, the public must buy another measuring instrument. Therefore, on this occasion to make measurement tools become more efficient, the writer will design a measuring instrument that can be used to measure 2 components at once, namely a TDS meter and a thermometer designed in one device. TDS meter uses a conductivity sensor and a thermometer uses a DS18B20 waterproof temperature sensor.

Abstract

This research was conducted in an effort to minimize the occurrence of road traffic accidents. In this study detected the level of fatigue and sleepiness from the driver's face video based on the extraction of eye and mouth features using the CNN method. The dataset in this study is 300 data with 3 different classes namely drowsiness 100 data, sleepy 100 data and normal 100 data. The number of epochs used in research to achieve high accuracy is as much as 50. In the test results it is known that the validation of accuracy has increased in each of the input layer results.

Abstract

Water pipe leakage causes financial loss for the user such as PAM or PDAM. YF-S201B flowmeter sensor is a water flow sensor made of plastic with a rotor and hall effect sensor inside. The rotor will spin when the water flow through the sensor. The speed of rotor spin is proportional to the water flow. The hall effect based sensor can be used to detect water flow up to 30 liter/minute (1.800L/hour) thus, the sensor can be used to control the water flow in distribution system and water debit monitoring. The principle of prototype is the placement of sensor before the leakage and after leakage position to obtain different value of water debit. The system will send a short message automatically to the phone if water leakage is detected in the pipeline.
